I know it's not a very scientific explanation, but I think it's so cool to watch them mark their possesions especially when mine are marking *me*!!!! P.S. I know this is late, but we had just been talking about this and I was getting my daily kitty fix! -em Cats have glands just behind their fuzzy little lips (among other sites) and they secret a scent to tell the other cats that “ha, ha, *this* is mine!
