Hi, I voted too! I’m planning an elopement wedding for the end of September so I know how much this would mean to you. Good Luck!
ahem…my orange tigerstripe is named Socks, and it was (and still is) the most appropriate name he could have- he curls up on my stomach every evening to watch Keith Olbermann and cleans his socks.
Rosie, dearest, Thomas is prob. a Yank (Keith Olbermann) and we use it quite frequently over here. You know how we just love ruining the Queen’s English.
I do LOVE the way you used FUZZ in saying that Nattie didn’t give a fuzz… clever girl.
Very cute Kitty with tons of character, especially the tail and feet. She looks well fed and who knows how long she would have survived out on her own.
I love when my little girl “Kiara” is sleeping, she always puts her one paw over her nose. She is my pride and joy next to my three kiddies (ha ha) children.
LOL *I FEEL YOUR PAIN!!!* My Gheeri doesn’t look big, but she’s stocky (they get that way when you spay them…)
Her FAVE thing to do is when we wake up but haven’t gotten out of bed, she climbs on our stomachs/backs and purrs and rubs and makes pizza dough out of us… lol I love my Gheeri….
Hey Danielle, you GOTTA see what some girl said about me on Mitchu’s blog… Boy am I glad most of us here are friends. I didn’t bother responding, I don’t need to defend myself… talk to you later!

Its like you said they don’t know us. Lets just ignore them. I know that most of the people here are nice people. As long as you don’t give in to them you’ll be all set. We all have one thing in common we love those cats.

Isn’t it funny how they always go right over your bladder to knead in the morning? If my hubby isn’t home from work, thats how our older cat wakes me up, she’ll lick my arm til i roll onto my back to get away from her then all 10 lbs up on my stomach right above my bladder and kneading, it’s a heck of a wake up call! I’m glad he’s not late often LOL.
My previous cat “NEWTON” weighed approximately 14 lbs and sleeped at the end of my bed on top of my feet. After he died of lung cancer back in October 05 I couldn’t sleep, not only from sadness but from not having the weight on my feet. I really do miss him, even though I now have “KIARA” there will never be another kitty like him.
I miss you Newton!

I am sorry for your loss. We had a girl who was going to be put down on feb 3 05 but she decided to go by herself the day before. It is so sad. She was one of the family. She helped me through some rough times. They will always be with us in our hearts and memories. Have fun with Kiara. Don’t forget Newton.

Linda…
I certainly understand how you feel, too. 4 years ago I had to put my little KC down because she got really really sick. She was 18 years old and such a little pip-squeak! (I think she must have been the runt of the litter). I still miss her soooo much.
But on the positive note…about 4-5 yrs. after I got KC, I adopted a little abused cat (named KiKi). She was always in KC’s shadow, but since KC’s passing, she has truly become this out-going, loving little ball of furr! KiKi is almost 18 now!
So your little Kiara knows what she’s doing! Give her lots of extra love and attention!

Thanks Pam
Newton was only 10 years old when his life on earth here ended. We all thought we had atleast another 5-8 years with him. Just stopped eating one day, made a vet visit to see why, and took some x-rays because they heard weezing and there is was CANCER!
What a shock and it really sucked telling my three kids that there only pet they ever knew was going to die.
Well, Kiara is now 4 months old and much a part of our family. She has brought life back to our home.
*FUZZY LEGS* She is going to be one tall little girl. I just got my morning bite– Meeps (Meowmepurr) likes to sleep in Mumma’s computer chair in the morning, and getting her to give it back gets a little interesting at times. BTW, did anyone notice that the Anon. Rant disappeared from Mitchu’s page? Does the Kittenmaster censor us?
Thank you, Kittenmaster. We all like “fluffy”. As for sleeping styles, we have the “Kitten Pile.” When we are all cuddled down and ready to sleep, Flumpy(my husband named him) flumps in behind Paul’s legs and Meeps climbs on top of us, makes a few biscuits, and settles down–on both of us. Very comfy–until it gets HOT!
Meow’s Mumma- I guess you weren’t here for the battle of Bagheera/Rosie vs. the Anon’s… it wasn’t pretty, but Kittenmaster saved the day LOL I know how you feel, too! My Gheeri hogs the bed, and when you try to move her, she tries to bite you! LOL She’s such a lazy-butt, but I love her!
She looks like a Maine Coone cat. My cat Zoe looked just like that when she was little. Now she’s 10lbs of fluff and energy!
(see september 1st 2005 picture for zoe’s first bath!)
Nattie looks like she’s all worn out. Time for a real good snooze. She’ll be a big girl looking at the size of her long legs and big feet. I hope her wildness has tamed down now that she’s in a loving home.
And *LOVE* Nattie’s little pink nosie!!! I just want to give her tons of kisses on it until she does that thing where they put their paw on your face to stop you from giving them kisses….
::sigh:: Rosie, do you need some chicken flavoured hairball remover? I don’t think it tastes very good. I would have to put it on my cats’ paws to get them to take it….

achoo, Bagheera, you are a BAD fuzzy friend!!! I just found the Daily Kitten about a month ago, and now I’m totally addicted. The new kitten comes up just after 7am here on the Other Coast, and since I’m retired, I NEVER got up this early–until now! BTW, I’ve been voting like mad for you and Bryan. WHEN you win, please take lots of pictures and put them up on your site. Prrrs to all 8-}
:::sigh::: If we win, I have until the 25th to get everything done (dress, invites, etc). But the 16 is the day they announce the winner. It’s nerveracking. I am so nervous.

I see. Of coursemyour nervous. You do have almost everyone on this site voting for you. So I think you will be the winner.
(In a conversation between a co-worker and I.)
“Can I call you Mr. Fluff?” - me
“Pray tell, Why? Because of my white hair?” -Dick 60+ years old.
“No.. you look like a bunny..”
(Very un-cattish, but I’m okay with that.)
ahhhhhhh - she looks so comfortable now. Love her paws - she’ll grow into her furr!! She looks very sweet & content & doesnt have to live the life of a feral kitty.
GOOD MORNING MY FRIENDS!!!
I love checking on who’s our Daily Kitten, and chatting with everyone!
Nattie IS very long legged…like a Thoroughbred Horse! I’d love to be able to watch her grow into those legs! She’s going to be BEAUTIFUL!
When I was 13, I “dragged” a black w/white feral kitten from under a neighbor’s deck, named him Cabbie and he was the BEST cat - after a few days of resentment!
Gheeri - voted 5 times t’day…going back for more…
I’m psyched!!
Rose, you said it SO well, just like a thoroughbred! And she flopped like a filly after a good run!
Meow’s M-(fingers crossed) Yes, WHEN I win, I shall post pix (I get a professional to take them!). By the way, if anyone is in the Miami area and is free that Friday…. (BTW, I love your cats’ names!)
danielle- I HAVE lost my fuzzy mind…. do you guys have ANY IDEA how awful it is to wait until the 16th to find out the results???
Linda-so sorry about your Newtie-boy. I wish I was able to have my Meeki-bear a little longer as well. You NEVER get over the *great* cats in your life. I mean, you have cats that you love, and cats you *adore*. Everyone know what I mean? You know, you think it’s awful to play fave’s when you have more than 1 fuzzball, but deep down, you KNOW you have a favorite… Meeko was mine, until someone decided that they should have him instead…
—-rant over—-
Rosie- ::sigh:: fuzzy bloody good to see you back!
Oh—soooo very sweet—looks all tuckered out and so content–makes we want to lay next to her and take a little nap!!!
I am sorry to hear of the losses of your cats–about 2 years ago I had to let my Lucy go–she was 28 years old and I cried so hard. My son and I buried her in my parents back yard close to the creek…I still miss my Lucy Lu..
We got Helen from the local animal shelter about a month ago. She was 6 months old and cute , cute , cute—she plays with our other cat Polly a lot. And always starts her night off in bed with me and then eventually moves to my sons bed..
too sweet
She is soooooo cute.God must really miss her.Because you know she must have fallen from heaven.I once had a kitten like her but she got run over.Sooooooooooo sad huh.I printed a picture of her and i am goin to put her on my wall.I am only 10 years old and love cats.My next door neighbor has like 50 kittens/cats.Isnt that kool.well i guess i will take the G to the O and GO.byby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
lol, you are like the 50 millionth person to tell me that, but, unfortuatly, I think they switch it around constantly, because if everyone were locked in place, some people might not go to the bottom… they might read 3 or 4 and vote… this way, with everyone moving around, it’s fair. Everyone gets a shot being on top….
Ah…..those heart-stealin’ coon kitties!! Gotta love her laid back cattitude! So sweet sleeping like a fuzzy baby! Hugs to you for the rescue. Maybe I can introduce her to my coon kitty Poppy!!
Adorable. Just looking at this kitten makes me sleepy.
My own cats have this influence on me as well, watching them sleep is as good as ambien, they sleep like its a vocation.
What a precious girl! If her position on the bed is any indication of her contentment in your house, I say there is no need for further words on how she feels about you. Best of Luck with your animal companion.
Bagheera, I want to vote for you, but can’t figure out how to link on to the site. Am rooting for you anyway.
Rosie you are a trip! I enjoy this site and I feel as though I am getting to know you guys by your names and posts. I check it twice a day. It makes me smile as do all of you.
My sympathys for the losses of all the cats I’ve read about today. Having been in the same situation 4 times in the last 10 years, you have my thoughts and prayers.
And to the Kittenmaster, thanks for watching over us. We love the site as a friendly and happy place. And the kittys are cute too!!!!
Lynn,
If you got to the kitten for the 7th there is a link in one of her posts. Highlight it right click copy then in the address bar right click and paste.
Lynn,
I’m guessing you went to my site to look for it, but I don’t have it posted there. And I was posting it in here, but a/a few anonymous pople were harassing me, so I left it out today. Here it is:
I hope you are the Rita of Rita and Bryan on the wedding list.
I enjoy your bantering with Rosie. Loved the feral kitten Fuzz Nattie. Hope you win the wedding contest. Nokomis
Hi Bagheera—
Yes Lucy was 28 and she was still playful—she was a beautiful
orange gray black brown tabby calico mix with BEAUTIFUL huge light jade green eyes–I so miss her…She was basically fed science diet then eukenuba and 1/2 can of Friskie wet a day….
I’m going to change over to Science Diet for my kitty. Was she still able at that age to use the litter box and play normally? I just can’t imagine…………………………………
………………………………………………………………………
…………………………..nope! nothing is coming to me on how a kitty-cat could live that long. Maybe, you were just the best kitty mommy and she just didn’t want to leave you.
Yep, that must be it.
Going to the market for new kitty food, talk with you guys tomorrow!
LOL I dunno, my Gheeri eats Nutro, and does very well on it. Lets not forget…if she was 28, that means it was an older formula of Science Diet. The food companies change every so often, when they think they can do better (read:cheaper) but I get Nutro. It’s expensive, but good. My cat Punkie used to rip open the bottom corners of the bag when I didn’t put it away right away… naughty kitty. She was a silver & peach tabby… similar to Nattie, but without white.
We feed Science Diet to ours, too. We had a Bombay first (he isn’t really a cat, he just looks like one), rescued him t about 12 weeks, and on Nutro (and then Iams and a few others) he kept going greyer and greyer, until we put him on the Science Diet. Now he is just as beautiful black as our rugs, and as shiny as patent leather, like a beautiful Bombay boy should be I have a little run Blue too, and her coat got much darker on the Science Diet than when we rescued her, and she went from course to cotton candy! Her coat even has a sheen now, too. I definitely recommend it!
OK, ladies (and the occasional gent), how many things can I comment on and answer questions before my fingers freeze up from too much typing and lace-knitting! Bagheera: I have bookmarked the wedding site so I can vote coming and going every time I’m on the net. Thanks for the compliment on our names. Flumpy is because he does. Meowmepurr came from a wonderful fantasy series by Gail Greeno. The cats could mind-speak with each other and with their chosen humans. For all of us who have suffered the death of a beloved four-footed friend, I found a wonderful poem–it’s called The Rainbow Bridge. There is also a web site by the same name. I wish they could live as long as we do, but then I would not to leave andy of my gang to an uncertain future… Well, after all that, I think I need a catnap. BTW, Sleepy Kitten Disease is rampant around here. Flumpy is on my Dear Old Spouse- infecting him as we speak(LOL)!!
I found my kitten in my shed being terrorized by my dog. She was only a few weeks old, barely weaned. She was so cute hissing at me as I picked her up. Then I held her to my chest and she started purring. She is 5 yrs old now, and still the sweetest cat ever. There is nothing like taking in a homeless kitty to love and care for. Your little foundling is a beautiful kitten, and appears to be very content.
That’s EXACTLY what happenned with Amber! =O Seriously, under a car, a dog trying to get her, and after we shooed the dog away she was hissing and trying to scratch us! XD But after we picked her up, she purred and purred, and made some pizza dough, then climbed all over our shoulders! (We gave her to a neighbor)
Bagheera—
Yes, Lucy could use the litter box–still jump on the bed—she did not look or act old—-she just one day was really sick—it was quick!!!I was blessed to have her for so very long.
I know that is very rare….I do hope Polly & Lucy will be around for a long time also…I do love my kitties…
Oh yeah–I went and voted for you again!!!!
Oh Lucy had a lot of lives a lso—she got out of an apartment I lived in once thru a third floor window and managed to get in the engine of a car and go about 20 mmiles in this car…the guy driving heard her yowling but could not find her anywhere–he had a full day at work and heard her again on his way home–In the meantime I had left a lost note on the main door of the apartment building as to how to get ahold of me or the manager if she was found–He finally found her in the engine and the manager put her back in my apartment—silly cat—So thankful I did not lose her then –we still had many more years together.
She was a kitten that was returned because the people whio first had her did not like her crooked tail—-so I happily took and -too bad for them and wonderful for me!!!
I got Polly ( she is a black & white cat) because a coworker said they had too many animals and she was going to bring her to a shelter…
and Helen ( a white and grey and blacktabby with a 3 inch tail) was a stray that someone trapped and brought to the shelter!!
OK enough yacking–I had better get back to work
My Maine coon Sterling looked like that when he was little. He’s now 21 lbs and the vet says he’s underweight. Must be the 2 lbs of raw green beans he eats every week on top of all the cat food.
Take good care of that little girl. She will repay you with more love and fun than you can ever imagine.
I have voted too, good luck. I love this website.
That kitten is so sweet looking, i love gray kitties. My kitten is Gus (orange tabby) from earlier that some anon was blasting, but he is the sweetest kitty. At 7 months he still thinks he can curl up under my chin if I’m sleeping on my back, now he cuts off my air supply he’s too big, but I just adjust him. Funny what we will put up with from our pets.
How cute is she. Lucky cat. Good for you to save her. Now she doesn’t have to worry. She’s got a good life.
i totally agree. this kitten is lucky to have an owner. It is also really cute!!
Contented kitty? Relaxed kitty? Whatever she is, she’s cute and looks to be happy slumbering away there.
What a sweat little baby. By the looks of her paws she just might grow up to be a big girl.
Best of luck with her she is beautiful.
oh, I love this pic….
Good Morning to everyone where it is morning!

Gheeri - voted 5 times t’day…going back for more…
I’m psyched!!
Look at the size of those feets!!! Pretty baby.
WOW! I LOVE you guys!
*{GROUP HUG}*
—-rant over—-
Rosie- ::sigh:: fuzzy bloody good to see you back!
nattie like the beer?
Oh—soooo very sweet—looks all tuckered out and so content–makes we want to lay next to her and take a little nap!!!
I am sorry to hear of the losses of your cats–about 2 years ago I had to let my Lucy go–she was 28 years old and I cried so hard. My son and I buried her in my parents back yard close to the creek…I still miss my Lucy Lu..
We got Helen from the local animal shelter about a month ago. She was 6 months old and cute , cute , cute—she plays with our other cat Polly a lot. And always starts her night off in bed with me and then eventually moves to my sons bed..
too sweet
awww.
wow, you had a 28 yr old cat? what were you feeding her that she was healthy for that long?!?!?
So Adorable!!!
I wanna be a kittenmaster!!! :o)
PINK NOSE, PINK TOES & A PINK BELLY~! WAY CUTE NATTIE DREAD TAIL!!
Kaitlyn,
Very sorry to hear about your cat. I’m sure she will love the picture that you are going to hang up. Just never forget her.
you know, it should be a pre-requisite here to not only tell us about the fuzz, but to also tell us how they got their name…
I think that is a great idea. That way we can learn more about the kitten.
I was just voting for you and wanted to say your names are on the top.
lol, you are like the 50 millionth person to tell me that, but, unfortuatly, I think they switch it around constantly, because if everyone were locked in place, some people might not go to the bottom… they might read 3 or 4 and vote… this way, with everyone moving around, it’s fair. Everyone gets a shot being on top….
Got ya!
She’s a sweetie. God bless you for rescuing her.
What a cute little pink ‘pinch’ nose and pretty pink paw pads!
I am so happy you are going to give her a good life.
LOL, once again, you are quicker than I am….
Thanks danielle-you’re so helpful
Lynn,
I’m guessing you went to my site to look for it, but I don’t have it posted there. And I was posting it in here, but a/a few anonymous pople were harassing me, so I left it out today. Here it is:
http://www.northamericanmidway.com/motm/miamidade/weddingvote.aspx
just copy & paste! Thanks for involving yourself when you don’t have to!
Thanks everyone else! (Rosie, Vanessa, danielle, Meow’s M, Rose….etc) [hugs]
Holy XXXX!
Now he is just as beautiful black as our rugs, and as shiny as patent leather, like a beautiful Bombay boy should be
I have a little run Blue too, and her coat got much darker on the Science Diet than when we rescued her, and she went from course to cotton candy! Her coat even has a sheen now, too. I definitely recommend it!
I’M IN LOVE…..
Now there’s a kitty living the good life.

Oh Linda—I was actually answering your question—
Sorry
And I love this site!!!
……….this feralfuzzaduzz has some BIG toes!…………………..
meow …. meow meow meowy meoooowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww purrrrrrrrrrr
translation- very cute kittun , i hope my kitty gets posted sooon!!!
Absolutely adorable
A lucky kitten she is and looks so content. Good job rescuing her.
Nattie looks like one very happy, contented kitten. Thanks for rescuing her!
Aww, so cute!
Good morning all! Danielle, thanks for the help, and Bagheera for the link. I did it! I will vote every day for you. Good luck.
Nattie is so cute. Looking forward to the new kitty later today. Hi Rosie! Talk to you all later.
Very Cute…… And so Content.
GOOD LUCK!!!! Rita and Byran
What an adorable little girl with a very cute name…and big rabbit feet!
Thank goodness you found her and gave her a good home.
Such a tiny thing to be all on her own. Thank God you came along & found her. Her worries are now over.
I love people who love animals.
she looks so cute sleeping on the bed like that!! what a cutie pie!!!
She is soooo cute!!!! AAAWWW!!!
