Quite the observation Linda, very much an “owlish” face. Very pretty though. Add me to the ever growing list of cat owners who can tout that their cat drinks from their glass of water. My Springer did that, we kept a glass for him on the bathroom sink, he would drink from it while I brushed my teeth in the morning, then I’d use what he left to rinse!!

What a beautiful kitty! Her coloring is gorgeous! And her furr looks like velvet! I’ve never seen a British Shorthair before, so thank you for sharing her with us!
My KiKi has her very own glass of water…although there are other places for her to get water, she was always fascinated with MY glass when I sat down for the evening and had a glass sitting on the end table next to me…so eventually, I just put a glass there especially for her! It’s amazing how often she jumps up there to drink that water! Cats!!
Another water glass for kitties house here. There is a glass on the kitchen island and one in each bathroom and I refresh them as often as I can.
My boy kitty, Kona, also likes to drink out of the running faucet. Sometimes I’ll walk into the bathroom and find him sitting at the edge of the sink–right next to the full glass of water!–patiently waiting for someone to turn the faucet on for him.

Since your kitty like one of mine loves running water I got her a lttle water fountain made for kitties…Now she has running water whenever she wants it.

Where did you find the kitty-sized water fountain? I have 2 that just LUUUVV to drink out of the SAME kitchen faucet and there is an occasional squabble over this. I would love to find a kitty fountain for them !
Wha ta cute little kitten. I want her. My cats whenever they try to get my water always knock it over. They have to have the filtered water they will not drink tap.

LOL, my Gheeri does that. We have a wide windowsill in the bedroom that we put lots of stuff on-pens, earrings, spare change, etc… she’ll go up there and “catorize” everything!!! I’ll tell her “NO Gheeri! Stop knocking stuff off!” And she’ll look at me, and continue to catorize. I’ll laugh so hard from her BLATENT DISOBEDIENCE that I’ll just give her a kiss and a good patting. My fiance doesn’t think it’s funny, he’ll give me a look, and say “Don’t encourage her!” As if!
She doesn’t drink out of glasses (my old cat Punkie used to though) but we bought her one of those filtering fountains from PetsMart.com, and it keeps her from drinking out of the toilet. She does this thing where she will drink, and then, staying in the same position, she does this thing where I can only describe it as grinding her teeth. I don’t know if that is possible for cats, but that’s what it sounds like. *Does anyone else’s cat do this??*
I had a Russian Blue, he died when he was 14. He was such an independent soul, lovey, but his own cat. Anyway, he had gold eyes, too. That’s just a trait of the Russian.
Also, I had a cat who loved to drink from a glass. He would dip his paw in the water and then lick it off. He would do this until he could no longer reach the water. Alas, I only had tall glasses.
I love this cat, I wish I could rub his fury cheeks and give him nose kisses.
I have one that drinks from the glass too, she dips her paw in, and then licks the water off, but what is really funny is when she dips her paw in the water, and then starts to use that paw to wash her face and the top of her head, she does that with her water bowl too, I am like you are supposed to drink out of that, not bathe in it. She is a mess!

As for the water thing, my Ella doesn’t drink out of my cup but when you have something cold, she loves to lick the moisture from around the outside of the galss. I can’t drink anything cold around her without having to share!

Does anyone else feel like the Kittenmaster is some sort of benevolent god, genially overseeing our kitten related activities, and occasionally intervening when necessary?
All 4 of my cats drink from a glass of water left in the kitchen sink. I had to start drinking my water from a bottle because of all the times that they spilled “my” water. Oh well-I guess I had to be trained.
Our cat meanie pie only wants to drink out of the toilet, or out of the shower when we have just gotten out of it.
He is strange. He also likes to eat cilantro and lettuce.
She is adorable…..and kinda looks like a bobble head…..which here is a compliment….those things have gotten way popular!…..our Onyx loves to hop in the tub or sink and sit in them to drink…..we’ll find him waiting for us to turn the water on just so he can get a drink!
Hello Kittenmaster. I have to tell you that this site means the world for me and my kids. I can log on everyday and look forward to seeing the kitties and all the comments from cat lovers from all over the world. Also, something amazing happens. My kids, ages 2,4, and 5 will stop running, yelling, rough housing and look excitedly over my shoulder to see the day’s kitten. They ooh and aah as much as I do. It’s a special thing because as soon I as start scrolling down to read the comments, the chaos begins once again. Thanks for bringing some sunshine to our little world.
How many subjects in one post? Yes, our Dear Kittenmaster does take good care of us all, but there does seem to be a gremlin in the machine today. I, also, have strange characters in my name, and when I checked earlier, all the early morning posts had evaporated! As to the water thing, I have had cats who insisted on glasses and/or the tap turned on. My mother had one cat who drank only out of the kitchen tap, sitting in the sink! We would tease Mom that the water was running in one ear and out the other–because there was nothing in between to hold it back. Keep voting– tomorrow is the last day for Rita & Bryan’s wedding. i have a cat he is 4 yrs old and a brown tiger named lucky [my husband named him says he is the luckiest thing around] he will only drink from a glass that has ice in it and when i go to thte freezer he wants ice in his water dish too i guess he is spoiled oh well he is special

My chubba bubba tux cat used his paw to dip and drink from his housemate would lick the water from my legs when I got out of the shower. His tongue felt like a lufah sponge.

Weird, sounds just like our Tux cat! He sits on the side of the tub waiting for me to get out of the shower so he could lick the water off my legs. He also likes to drink from the faucet and meows till he gets me to turn it on. He also likes to tip over his water bowl much to the dismay of our other cat Callie.
