I wonder if he’ll play fetch eventually. I had two lovely grey cats ,Velcro and Emily,( both at the Rainbow Bridge) who played fetch!
They weren’t related . They would bring me objects to throw and they’d bring them right back.. over and over until they wanted to seek other mischief! I miss them so much.
I’m owned by a cat named Emily who likes to play fetch!!! She likes the plastic caps that come on sports-like water bottles? They fit her lower jaw comfortably, and when I toss one, it slides around so she has to “kill” it before bringing it back to me!
I ADORE Joey Blue’s grey nose, too…!
Those plastic caps were my Emily’s favorite, along with those plasic rings from orange juice bottles!
The day after I lost her I found one in my bed!
I keep it in a cat shaped box.
oh, Caroline…I’m so sorry for your loss…but isn’t it the most touching thing, that your Emily left you probably one of her favorite plastic toys? My Emily leaves things in spots for me too - went in to take a shower one morning, and she placed a fuzzy toy on top of my nightgown!

To Rita: I am so sorry you didn’t win, but wholeheartedly agree with everyone else…..do your wedding now….it’s not about the dress, flowers, rings, etc….it’s about the love and commitment….David and I discovered that ourselves so we’re just having a simple ceremony, no reception, etc…..until we can save the money to have a HUGE Celtic wedding in Sept…….hopefully good advise from a friend in VA…..

Definately a Russian Blue. My Russian looked a lot like that as a kitten. Now 14 years later he still has that stately grey nose and all the traits of a Russian - his eyes turned a vey pretty green. They sure are a special breed. Enjoy him.

REminds me of my Buffy when he was a kitten, only his eyes were green. He was a DSH not a Russian Blue but the vet thought he was when he first saw him. Buffy went over the Rainbow Bridge when he was 15. That was in the 90’s. Nokomis
Janaka, my cat is the exact same way, she will follow me practically everywhere I go when I’m home, but when I try to call her or try and pick her up, she runs away. She will also start sqirming the minute you pick her up. It does bother me and makes me feel bad sometimes…I feel like she’s afraid of me or something, like I’ve been a bad mommie to her.
The weird thing is I caught her sitting on my moms lap once or twice and she’s not even much of a cat person LOL
He’s beautiful!! I have 3 cats I adopted-Ozzy is 4yrs now ,Sissy is 3yrs, and now Colby is the newest-he’s blind and 7 months old now. He loves to play fetch w/paperwads- we keep our long hallway clear for him to run safely. Some girl at work was talking about a blind kitten that was born behind a store and the rest of the litter moved on without him-I got him. The saddest/maddest part is the vet told me he’s blind because of horrible eye infection that could have been easily treared…but left untreated his corneas had ruptured He is very happy though…VERY SPOILED, loves his cuddles.
My sweet little boy is such a cuddler. He’s on my lap now.

I think it’s just the flash of the camera making his pupils look two different colors of blue. His eyes almost look grey to me. Too cute anyways!

I think Joey is going to grow up to be a Russian Blue. My sister’s cat, Topo, looked just like that as a kitten, and he was Blue–all through.
