The orange kitten on the top of the pile is a trip! He seems to be saying, “Do you mind, I’m stepping on my sibblings here?” The one in the back is saying “whatever”. I love the orange ones, I seem to gravitate to them and also gray kitties. My cat Oscar is an orange tabby.

I love orange kitties too. I love them all but I guess I love orange ones because my Danny Boy was orange. He was the best…my 1st kitty child. This June will be 2 yrs. since he went to kitty heaven. He had a very aggresive cancerous tumor. He keeps watch over my flower bed. I do miss him. Anyways, my fuzz comment for these adorable five:

*FUZZ, FUZZ, FUZZ, FUZZ, FUZZ A DUZZ!*

I love kitty pile-ups! You would think the one at the bottom would get totally squished, but he/she seems totally content!
Seven kittens, wow! I foster kittens all the time and I can’t imagine (well I can:)) having 7 little ones terrorizing the house! Lol

It is fun to see all the different ways kitties play. This looks like one wanted to curl up and the others decided to intrude–or join him / her. The one with its head poking up from the bottom looks especially adorable,

The best thing about kitty pile ups is they keep doing it when they are adults (at least my babies do)! They end up looking like one giant fuzz ball with lots of heads. I know it sounds kind of creepy but it’s actually really cute.

    So cute!

I have a four kitty pile up on me every night when I go to sleep, its a wonder I get any rest, my husband calls me their human body pillow. And they are all full grown and fat so each night I sleep with an extra 44 lbs on me…omg that’s the first time I have done the math on that one, no wonder I wake up tired in the morning….;-)

3 cat pile-up in my bed. Fortunately, I have only one that actually likes to sleep ON me.

I love how the one orange tabby is the only one noticing mom/dad taking the picture. VERY cute. Momma cat is probably saying to herself “NEVER again. I’m gettin’ my tubes tied!.”

Heck, kitties get in a pile all the time to keep warm! The lucky ones on the bottom get the most heat! Don’t forget to get Mama fixed! They go back into “heat” so quickly after having a litter.

Hey Bagheera, don’t know if you’ll check this pic again but if you do, I love the idea of naming a naughty kitty Draco! LOL! A red named Ron is good too. HOw about a gray persian named Dumbledor? I have the fourth movie too. The next movie is in production now and the next book is due next year. I was disapointed in the Half Blood Prince. I guess because I wanted things to stay “safe” at Hogwarts. I loved Dumbledor and now he’s gone. Oh please tell me you’ve read the sixth book?! I would feel just awful if I’ve just given something away!

lol, no I haven’t read ANY of the books…you know why?

let me tell you all a little story: I read *The Lion, The Witch, & The Wardrobe* the week before the movie came out. I knew what was going to happen. In the movie, when Aslan walks though the forest with the girls to The White Witch, I started crying. And the closer he got, the louder I got. My fiance was like, WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU???? All I could say is” I’m sorry, but I know whats going to happen!”. And I continued to bawl through the impending scene (sorry to whomever was sitting around me!). After the movie was over, I was scolded because he knew something bad was going to happen because of my reaction. *I COULDN’T HELP IT! I LOVE ASLAN!*

OH, now I feel awful!!!! I am so sorry!!!!!!!!

I usually agree with you, I hate to see a movie after I’ve read the book. It’s usually a disapointment. I actually didn’t read any of the HP books until after I saw The Chamber of Secrets. Then I decided, what the heck, I can’t wait for the third movie. There were just enough differences between the books and the movies to keep you interested but not to spoil the movie. So many books though, ruined by the movie, OR, like you said, you know what’s coming and you get so emotionally involved. You have to read the Goblet of Fire, now that you’ve seen the movie!!! It was the BEST of the books!!!

    Email me sometime at triskart@hotmail.com

    Hope you get this

You know, the fourth book was my favorite. I wondered how they were going to make the movie and still do the book justice. They did a good job with the movie but they left out some of my favorite parts. That’s OK, like I said, they still did a good job. Buy the fourth book! I can’t wait to see the fifth movie, I know it will be sad but the book was so good.

A big problem is how to feed them. This might help, if you haven’t already tried it. My mother had the same situation years ago when she had to feed tiny kittens whose mother couldn’t nurse them. She used the tiny nursing bottles that are meant for baby dolls and a milk mixture that the vet recomended and was able to keep them nourished that way.

Newborns need special milk, I think they call it Kitten Milk Replacer, or something like that. It has antibiotics and stuff like that which the mother cat usually gives them through her milk in the first few days. We had a really “Special kitty”, Malachi, who we raised from newborn. We held his mom down and let him nurse a couple of times, and that gave him what he needed- his mom had serious mental problems and abandoned him and his two sibs in the back of my pickup. She wasn’t too happy, but he survived- and grew into one of the sweetest cats you’d ever want to meet. He used to give “Kitty hugs”- put his paws around your neck and actually squeeze!

He lived to age 11, and passed about 4 years ago. I still miss him!

One other thing is that kittens have a big problem with getting cold. We would put a low-power heating pad under soft blankets to keep him warm, and covered his basket at night.

What would be uncomfortable for us is just right for a kitten!

    Bob

Hi Bluejay, a Pediatrician friend of our family took in an abandoned kitten. They fed him baby formula that did not have iron. Just like Lisa said, they fed him from a tiny nurser bottle. He grew up to be a beautiful cat with a fantastic coat!

The guy who lives across the street from me is a security guard, he found two kitties just born and brought them home. We took one of them, and went to PetCo. They have everything you need to get started being a surrogate kitty mom. Good luck!! :)

Oh, and the pile of kitties reminds me of the last litter we had, what a bunch of fun that was!! Nothing better than a whole batch of kitties attacking you!! If you have never had a whole litter to play with, you don’t know what you are missing!!! :)
