Lily is a ten week old brown tiger - just a love! She came into our home with her brother Harry to fill a hole left by the passing of Bart, our 17 year old tiger.

We just adopted a new kitty (6 mos. old, tabby with a white face) from the pound yesterday. We don’t get her home until Weds. after she’s been spayed, but I’m very excited! We haven’t thought of a name for her yet, but I’m going to cruise past Daily Kitten pictures for ideas.
yay 3rd msg! i love kitties and im sorry bout the passing of your other tiger kitty, i had a tabby who lived till 19 who was my best friend i know the pain, but lily will make you smile lots now!!!
Actually, it’s ‘ruckus’ (I guess that makes me English Major fuzz :-))
My little girl Nyx has bat ears too. In fact, the people who fostered her after she was rescued had named her Batgirl, so that’s what her spay records and everything is under. We went back a couple months later to neuter our Buzz boy, and the staff still remembered Batgirl
We were hoping she would grow into her ears, since she was only about ten weeks when we got her, but alas, she was a runt, so she never got much bigger–fortunately, neither did her ears!
You are using last year’s calendar? March 20 fell on Sunday last year. This year it falls on Monday, today, March 20, 2006. Sometimes it’s just hard to face the fact that another year has happened. But it is time to accept the fact; it IS 2006! LOL
Look a little closer at the calander. It’s just set up differently. It shows Monday 1st, where on a normal calander it would be Sunday. I did the same thing when I 1st looked at it. “It’s not Sunday!”, then I looked closer. lol
You know, you never feel like you can love another pet as much as your last one. Especially if they’ve been with you for so long. But it’s funny, somehow you find that you love the new one every bit as much and that love will grow everyday. I’m sorry about the passing of your last cat. I’m sure you’ll have many happy adventures with you’re new additions.
She is so absolutely beautiful!!! Those eyes, that nose, those ears!!! She’s a knock out!!!!
illinois here and whenever there’s tornado warnings or a thunderstorm our older cat hides under the bed and the kitten we’ve had for a few weeks now, goes under there and cleans her to calm her down it’s soooooo cute!
She is beautiful, absolutely beautiful. What a precious face!! Makes me want to run out and get another one!!!!!!!
I am in Memphis, TN, that’s right, me and Elvis, fellow kitty lovers!! Thank you, thank you very much.
Wow, I am amazed, I had never heard of the place. I just went and looked it up on the web! I will be visiting!!!

My husband lived in memphis for a year, so whenever I visited I made us go there.
The first time we saw the place was about 11 p.m. on a saturday night. We walked by this store front window and there were…all these cats! At first I thought it was some kind of toy store, but then I realized the cats were all REAL, just wandering around in the window and playing.
Its a totally great organization.
Never heard of that place but if I’m ever in that neck of the woods, I’ll be darned if I miss it! I could spend all day playing with kitties!! I’m a *CAT-O-HOLIC*. In my genes…
Jeff, thanks for the offer to fix up my picture with the bright green retinas. I downloaded a trial version of Adobe Photoshop Elements and am giving it a whirl.
A big meow to all the ‘Tiger’ lovers in the world.
What a great gift that Bart sent you from Heaven. He knew that his time here on earth was complete so he sent you two kitties cause he loves you twice as much.
Hello everyone…I started my own kitty blogspot, which can be seen in my link below. Check it out, pass it around, whatever! Does anyone know how to make it so the comments show under my posted picture? Kittenmaster?
By the way, I hope you’re not offended Kittenmaster, by my blogspot. It actually is in honor of your site too, because all of us cat lovers love your site so much!!!!
If you log into blogger, there should be an option in the ‘comments’ section that reads “Show comments in a popup window?” - set this to ‘no’. I think that should fix it.
^^^um, why would you pick on me? what did I do to you?
Kat1: she’ll get over it. Rosie just likes to be known for her originality, and likes credit due… hehe, just have *The word FUZZ used with permission under Rosies’ copyright* (after you ask, of course!
I’m in Bellingham, WA, up near the Canadian border, where our Monday is just getting started.
Lily has such a sweet, compassionate face. There is a Lily who lives across the street from us. Seems to be a fairly popular name for kitties right now.
Kim1, I was in Rogers Arkansas on Vacation last Year
for the first time, and Boy was it BEAUTIFUL. I Live in Arizona what a Difference, Love the Fireflies.
Hi Janine. I live about a hour east of Rogers. Yes, it is beautiful in this area. I don’t know what I expected coming from Oklahoma since it’s just a state away. I don’t know if you’re familiar with where Branson, MO is but we’re about 30 miles south of there. I actually grew up in New Orleans. My parents are still there. NO, they live in the good part that wasn’t destroyed! They’re just fine. Sorry to babble.
um, radar, as in radio frequencies picked up by satellite? In other words, she has radar-picking-up ears… lol, Rosie just took all the fun out of that one… Am I the only one who got that? lol
Lily has the most blessed expression on her face - those eyes! She’s so beautiful! Does her brother resemble her? I also believe Bart sent the pair to you, knowing they would be safe and loved! Things happen for a reason…
Hi Lahna, I’m in central New Jersey…I was blessed to visit Australia! I stayed B&B and met some of the best people on Earth! My Dad was in Adelaide during WW2 and LOVED the Meat Pies!!
What a wonderful picture! It’s almost like Lily was posing for this shot! PHOTOGENIC FUZZ!! I’m envious…seems like my KiKi never sits still long enough for me to get a good picture…she looks alot like Lily…but she’s much older (18!!!)
Lahna…I’m from Northern Indiana, near Chicago. Nice to meet you!
What a pretty lil fuzz face—I just wanna kiss her — Our kitten Helen was 6 months old when we got her also–She helped fill the void wehn Elijah passed on!!!
It is Monday morning here in Lynnwood, Wa - about 20 miles north of Seattle. and it is a GORGEOUS morning!!
Lily is a beautiful girl! Such pretty coloring and large ears (must get good reception!). When I was growing up in the early 60’s, we had a cat that looked like Lily that we named Tinker. She was an outside cat that we had to put to sleep since kids beat her up. We eventually replaced her with another similar kitty that we also named Tinker. It was many years later til I had Buttons (I wrote about him a week or so ago). I now have Murphy & Cassie. A life without a cat is a life without sunshine. By the way, I’m from a southern suburb of Chicago, Oak Forest, IL. It’s Monday, 3-20-06 (Spring has arrived!) at 11:30 am.
…I am so saddened that ‘kids beat her up’….that is completely sick….sounds like you lived near some deranged people…I would have been frightened to get a new fuzzball…did you keep the new one indoors?……………………………………
Sick is exactly the right word. My cats have all been house pets - partly because I know what kind of two-legged predators they could run into outside.
Hi, Rosie. In response to your question as to whether or not we kept our 2nd Tinker indoors, I honestly can’t remember. I would imagine so, however. Back then, most people let cats out, but I wouldn’t even THINK of that now! My 2 girls now are strictly indoors, as was my previous Buttons. I don’t even think they like the outside except from the inside of the house. I always tell them that their lives are so good with us that they’ve “got it made in the shade”. (an old saying meaning you’ve got it good, things/life going well). If there is a thing of reincarnation, I want to come back as a house cat in a GOOD home.
My Jeremy was a gray-tiger-with-white a lot like Lily. When he gave me that look it meant he wanted a hug. (He always got one!) She looks like a perfect sweetheart. Please give her a hug from him and me.
She’s beautiful…I love tabby’s they are so sweet. What am I saying…I love all kitties, how could you not.
I want another kitten…but I have four now, so I will just have to be content with them….:-)
Well it looks like I’m not the first one from California. I am from Northern Calif. near Red Bluff. I know it hurts when one of our fuzzy friends pass on but whether we get another fuzzy friend or not, the love of the one that passed will live on in our hearts and no other will take that away from us. We just get the privalige to love another. The face of this cutie Lily looks like Casper’s face now, except he has blue eyes. He didn’t look like this as a kitten. Lily is a sweetie.
Thank you. The vet called him handsome too when I had to have his eye looked at. I really do like it up here near Red Bluff Calif. We moved here 27 years ago from L.A. area.
I see where a lot of you say that you “foster” kitties. I assume that this is a temp. home kind of deal that you do to keep them from being destroyed until a permanant home can be found for them? Can anyone give me any information on this??
Hey Jeff. I foster for a rescue group here in VA. It’s called A.R.T., which stands for Animal Rescue of Tidewater. I think the SPCA at least here, does a foster program too. A.R.T. is a no kill rescue group and we foster kittens until they are spayed/neutered, older cats to learn their tempermant (so they can be adopted into the right home) or until there’s room at PetsMart. PetsMart is where we show our cats so people can adopt them. We only allow them to be at PetsMart for 3-4 weeks max, so if they haven’t been adopted by then, they go back to their foster for some home time before being back at PetsMart again. We also have a website: http://www.artanimals.org.
_Rosie_ : Can I please have your permission to use the word Fuzz in my blogspot?? I should’ve asked, huh? Forgive me? I did give you props there. I will like Bagheera suggested, add in a copyright notice for the word Fuzz.
I will post this again in case you don’t read this tonight.
Hey Kat1, your blog has disappeared. I was just about to check it again and there is a message that says it can’t be found. Help, am I doing something wrong?
I live in mid Missouri. Also have lived in Arkansas Maryland,
Pennsylvania, Ohio, and North Carolina; in my wilder younger days. Lol
There is a lot of FUZZ in every state. I have been owned by animals all my life. First was Pug, a rat terrier who raised me from a pup. My Mom is an animal lover and nurturer and I caught it from her.
My daughter caught it from me. My son married one, they cant have kitties because of my grandson’s allery to them, but they have two pound puppies. They had three but Kenzie had to be put down last summer for a brain tumor.
I love being where animals are loved and appreciated. Thank this site and all the good people on it
Hi Lahna and everyone else. I live in Costa Rica although am originally from Louisiana. I have two beautiful cats which I adore. I would have 100 cats if I could. I love this site. I always tell my husband I have to go see “my new baby” because I feel like I’m getting a new kitten everyday when I log on.
She is a lovely girl and looks like she and her brother will do a very good job of filling the void of your dear departed kitty!
You were so lucky to have so many wonderful years with him.
I’d be thrilled to have that many years with my cats… Ours are 9, 7, 7, 6, 6, 6, 5, and 4… and I’m sure that how ever long we have it will never be long enough!!!

I just LOVE brown tigers, Lily is an especially beautiful little lady! She has such a cute little nose, one that’s just asking to be kissed!

No Red Bluff is about thirty miles from Redding, up in the far Northern Calif.
Those cute little eyes are just saying “Hug me, please!”
Oh by the way, yes I have to say Casper is the favorite. Got him before the others. We bonded when I finally caught him from being a garbage dump cat.
I heard it’s beautiful up there…. that’s great! I love personal rescue stories :::sigh:::
Casper’s a handsome kitty! Thanks for the pic.

I love you Rosie! *Fuzz General* I’m not worthy!
I live in Lakeland Florida myself, but travel almost every day to Tampa (going to USF).
Lilly looks like a happy, satisfied kitty. She looks almost like she’s saying “I’ve got a home now!”
I can’t imagine not having kitties around- I’ve had them since I was a little kid (and my wife has also).
We’re the proud “parents” of 5 cats- one a pretty brown patched tiger who likes to groom noses!
BOB—I LIVE RIGHT DOWN THE STREET FROM USF (IN TAMPA —YOU HAVE A FAR DRIVE EVERY DAY, EH?
Hey Kat1, your blog has disappeared. I was just about to check it again and there is a message that says it can’t be found. Help, am I doing something wrong?
