Kyria, Eleni, Olympia, Nyla, Daphne and Artemis

These kittens were born during the summer Olympics in 2004 which were held in Greece. In honor of the time of their birth, we gave them all Greek names, which were very difficult to remember at first! It was quite an accomplishment to get this picture… getting them in the desk wasn’t the problem, but getting them to stay there was!

Oh, these are tooo cute! I want to have kittens in my desk, too! But instead, there’s only a calculator and loads of paper stuff… Where can I exchange my old letters for a load of kittens?
I’ve been coming here for a couple of weeks now, and the first thing I did was look at every single kitten and wish I had one of my own…

I KNOW MOSTLY EVERYONE HAS READ THE FOLLOWING MESSAGE, BUT I’M PUTTING IT OUT AGAIN—FOR THE NEW PEOPLE TO THE SITE…

HI, EVERYONE. I HATE TO PUT A DAMPER ON THINGS, BUT
SINCE WE ARE ALL ANIMAL LOVERS, WE NEED TO BAND TOGETHER TO ABOLISH SOMETHING TRULY HORRIBLE: THE ANNUAL CANADIAN SEAL HUNT STARTED SATURDAY MORNING—–THE HUMANE SOCIETY OF THE UNITED STATES HAS A GREAT WEBSITE TO GET LOTS OF INFORMATION AND TO SEND A FORM LETTER TO CANADA’S PRIME MINISTER TO STOP THIS BARBARIC HUNT. THE WEBSITE IS *HSUS.ORG*–PLEASE FORWARD THE FORM LETTER TO AS MANY PEOPLE AS POSSIBLE. THANKS, EVERYONE.

Comment by lois
2006-03-30 16:45:13

Good job getting the word out Dee. There is quite a lot we can do to help support the HSUS effort in abolishing this heinous act. It’s all in their site.

Now on to the photo. In a word PRECIOUS.

May I suggest that instead of “appealing” to the clowns running Canada, that folks start pressuring their own governments to put pressure on Canada? Can you imagine the effect of the US recalling its ambasador to Ottawa? The *barbarians* in Ottawa would have to knuckle under!!! For myself, I will never purchase another item if it can be identified as having Canadian origins much less ever again set foot in their *disgusting* country until such time as the seal hunt is banished!!!!!!!!!!

I am a Proud American, and as I’ve never had the priveledge of visiting Canada, I DO intend to one day, G-d willing. Just as Americans have differing opinions about issues pertaining to how OUR government operates (LOVE Service Men and Women, HATE THE IRAQ WAR AND ALL MIDDLE EASTERN OCCUPATION!! ), I’m sure more than a few Canadians vow never to set foot in OUR *disgusting* country because of the War Monger sitting in the Oval Office right now. I sent a letter to the Canadian PM, I am SICKENED about the seal hunt, but we as neighbors do not have to be, well, RUDE AMERICANS.

Amen to everything you said. There must be Canadians who are just as upset by the seal hunt as you and I are by what goes on in Washington. The boycot is to hit the money interests in the only way they understand, not to hurt the majority of Canadians who are good people.

Well, of course you had trouble keeping them in there–you know how cats hate to be pigeonholed!

All you had to do was tell them they must not, under any circumstances, climb into the cubbies, and you’d have had trouble keeping them out.

So what’s Greek for cutie-pies?
