Tabitha is adventerous! She loves to climb onto things she shouldn’t, play with the three dogs - who don’t really know what to do with her, and even share the dogs treats with them. She is a handful! But, she is very loving and has brought joy to our home.

She is absolutely beautiful.
How sophisticated she looks…….she’s a beauty!
very nice!
Well i’m back after about 4 or 5 days, and what a cute fuzz! she’s so regal looking it’s Queen FUZZ! or maybe princess fuzz!
and i’m so happy the new CPU lets me see the fuzzies MUCH FASTER! yay.
(gonna cheat) all the fuzzies i missed are just tooo cute!
I think Tab wants a picture of herself up there on the mantle too. This must be her way of hinting!
Gorgeous.
*STATUESQUE* *FUZZ*
Tabitha is doing what any self-respecting feline would do, she is directing the household and the dogs from her vantage point. She is beautiful!!!!
*A LITTLE VINO FUZZ*
Not that she is an inexpensive French Table Wine, I am sure she is nothing but the best!
*DOM PERIGNON FUZZ* purr-haps!!!
Tabitha is really cute…and I bet she can twitch her nose and make things happen! Anybody ever watched Bewitched?
I love bewitched
Tabitha is so elegant and refined, sitting way up there. She has found the perfect spot from which to rule her minions!
What a pretty girl and a great name.
I love her coloring. She is so pretty! She does look like a statue.
Welcome back Jae!
soooooooooo cute she looks like a statue
You sure thats not a porcelain cat ?
She’s pretty and she knows it!
What a beautiful photo—everthing (including Tabitha) looks sun-washed—like an afternoon in Tuscany (not that I’ve ever been)—-she even has a bottle of vino next to her. Bellissima!
Your comment reminds me, have you ever seen the photo books
“Cats in the Sun”?
it is just hundreds of beautiful photos of quasi feral housecats that are “native” to the greek islands.
Every cat lover should have it.
Oh, thanks for that, Alice. I’ve seen clips of the Greek island cats. I didn’t know there was a bookabout them. OK, there goes some MORE money I must spend!
This little one has prompted my first post here at DK. She is such a lovely thing. And to be so laid that she plays with dogs is great. I’m jelous!
Welcome to The Daily Kitten, or as we call it TDK! If you enjoy kittens, I’m sure you enjoy grown up kitties too. If you, do click on my link below! I never payed attention to the links when I 1st started visiting TDK. I’ve visited some interesting sites now that I watch for them.
MMP’s Mom, I didn’t notice those long legs till you said something. Wow
Kat—-just saw your site—–like it a lot! Good job! But, you must stop fueling my feline addiction! “My name is Dee and I’m a cataholic.”
Hi Dee…welcome…!
*Beauregard*–welcome to the fun!!
Tabitha is a lovely girl–those long legs make good jumpers and climbers.
Strangely, my best climber of all was a very small Himalayan called Teddy. Mr. Ted thought nothing of the mantlepiece, and loved the stereo speakers my husband had mounted on the wall-almost to the ceiling. In the bathroom, it was counter to towel rack to shower curtain rod!
Happy _Sunny_ Tuesday to all–
SORRY Jan! I didn’t mean to jump in front of you! I thought you had replied to his comment, but you just commented next. Forgive me?
Not a problem, Kat–jump on in! BTW, thanks for the video clips, we were rofl. That looked like our Flumpy chasing the bear!
Was that not a riot!? The bear was my fave clip I think. Someday I’ll learn how to post that or add it to my site. I laugh everytime I watch it!
What an elegant girl! Tabitha is a great name, too.
What a view from up here! It’s nice to watch my subjects from my throne. Tabitha does indeed look like a statue. Very pretty girl. Every once in a while my one cat manages to jump up on top of the refrigerator from the counter. She gets down by jumping on top of the stove hood, then to the counter. This is all a “no-no”, but a sight to see that makes me laugh.
Tabitha seems to have one of the longest tails I’ve seen in a long time on a feline…maybe to help her balance so she can hop on the highest level in a room to survey all those
“beneath her”!! (such as moi!)
What a sweetie, adorable!
She looks so lovely and intelligent - sweet kitty!
Geoffrey once got to the third shelf up in the pantry. He looked cute, but he didn’t favor me with this kind of regal pose. Tabitha is just breath-taking - so beautiful and so self assured.
Bluejay—-did you ever hear an old Bill Cosby comedy album where he does a skit where he is just yelling at a little boy named Jeffrey over and over—-don’t know the name of the skit (or the album, sorry—could do some web research to find it), but listening to him reprimand little Jeffrey could be familiar to you!
No, I’ve never heard that one, but I wish I had. I love Bill Cosby! My college roommate and I used to listen to Cosby albums and roll on the floor.
I’ll watch for that one. Thanks for the tip!
My Geoffrey, of course, never gets yelled at Oh, noooo….
I think it is from Bill Cosby, himself and it is about an airplane trip where a little boy named Jeffrey who is disrupting everything on the plane.
Thanks for that, Claire.
Thanks! That will help me spot it.
Yeah, my 3 cats never get yelled at, either. (What a lie)
Do the rest of you feel really guilty after you yell at your cats, even if they did something bad (i.e. got in the trash)??
As I was running late for work this morning–again–one of my cats was blocking the front door with all of his poundage and I yelled, “MOVE!!” He did, in fact, move and I feel like an unfit mother today.
I feel guilty every time I yell, every time I dislodge him from my chair (or the middle of the bed) and every time he gives me the “sad face” as I leave for work in the morning. He has me right under his little paw.
Bluejay, I go through the same thing every morning. I can hardly look at our 3 as I’m leaving. When we decided to adopt our fuzz-babies, I figured it would get easier over time.
Nope, no way, not happening.
It’s just as hard today as it’s been every day since they came in and lit up our lives! Why can’t I get paid my salary to stay home and kitty sit?
Tabitha is simply loverly.
That’s so true. I think about my 3 throughout the day. I immediately go home and kiss them all—before I wipe my lipstick off! My poor, abused kitties!
My kitties have me very well trained. If I object to what they’re doing, I pick them up and cuddle them and say (in a syrupy-sweet voice) “no, no little fluff”. I think they laugh at me behind my back…
Bluejay, we want to see this kitty you call Geoffrey!! Send me a picture! Kitties love high places. My Marley’s fave place to curl up for a cat nap is on top of our kitchen cabinets. He jumps to the counter, up to the fridge and then to the top of the cabinets. Counters are a, as someone put it earlier, “no no”, but I don’t mind him up on the top of the cabinets. Anyways!
Thank you for asking! I’d love to send a picture, but since I don’t have a digital camera, I’ll need to do some scanning. I hope I’ll get to that soon.
What a REGAL Beauty!!!
Thank you for sharing her!!
By the way—Thanks for the advice in regards to the rubber bands yesterday!!! I went through the house and tried to pick them ALL up and put them in a drawer…
Don’t want my babies to get sick!!!
Hello All. What pretty little girl tis she! She does have a very long tail. She looks so petit that you just want to keep her wrapped up in your arms. She looks as if she’s posing for this picture and what’s funny, she looks like she’s use to posing! Very sweet baby.
though your cat may love dog treats and food it has been proven that it can cause blindness. Maybe try some yummy cat treats
Only an exclusive diet of dog food can cause a cat to go blind—not enough taurine in cat food for their eye health. But they can eat dog food/treats from time to time. I don’t think most cats like it as much as their cat food, anyway.
The perfect spokescat for a smooth merlot - or perhaps it’s a sweet dessert-like wine?
Manichevitz Fuzz
Pretty Kitty!
Tabitha, what a perfect name for a beautiful puddy tat. Read above about the tail and it does indeed look very long. Casper, Cleo and Gizmo love to hop up on the entertainment center and glare down on us as if to say “we are the regal ones around here.” Oh boy, I think that Cleo just ate a cookie I just baked. Ask my husband if he took a cookie and he said no. Well, one is missing and she is the only one that would a thing like that. Better keep a good eye on her!!!
Found the cookie. She thought she found something new to play with.
OK, Here is a good topic: What is the worst (most troublesome/irritating/costly, etc.) thing your cat has ever done? I think mine was a few years ago, when I invited 4 friends over for a nice dinner party and I cooked a big, expensive roast beef to perfection. I took it out of the oven and put some foil over it to let the roast “settle”. As I was running around trying to take care of last minute details to make it an elegant dinner, I heard a thunk and saw my 6- pound- cat dragging a 10- pound roast into the living room!! It was horrible at the time, but hysterical afterward. I can still see her using just one side of her mouth and trying to drag the tip of the roast to the carpet—I guess for better traction?!She was really putting her back legs into it, too. (She must have heard that you should DRAG with your legs, not your back–haha)
And, no, I did not serve the roast.
Oh Dee, the visual I get from your story made my day! Stilll chucklilng over that one! I best that’s one party you won’t foget any time soon. Thanks for sharing.
ROFL! I think I would have burst into tears at the time though.
OMG! I really wanted to! I worked so hard on that roast—-it was before I got really into cooking/baking—-so it was such an effort for me to make that! And my cat wiped the smug look right off my face! So instead of enjoying my company, I was cleaning the pan drippings off of the cabinets, kitchen floor and carpet!! They all found this WILDLY amusing! By the way, I was too cheap to throw the entire roast away….I washed it off and gave HER the entire outside of it—and saved the inside of it for my boyfriend and me. And I served my guests take-out Chinese food that night.
Dee,
I’m sitting at my desk at work chuckling! What a great story! Thank you for that!
Alicia
You solved the problem really cleverly! (I’ll bet kitty thought so too.)
Now that’s a cat who has moved up in the world!!! Very pretty and so sleek. Thanks for sharing.
OK Dee. I bought a 2800 dollar sofa for the living room. The cats decided to use it as a scratching post. The set isn’t even a year old and one corner is all messed up. I still love them though. Plus I got a good warranty. Anything wrong they will fix it for up to five years for free.
OMG! That IS a great warranty—they’ll even fix things your cat did? You have to tell me what store that was! Has anyone ever used that Cat Detract stuff?? Does it work?
Dee it was Cardi’s furniture.
Kat I am sorry to hear that That must have been a horrible feeling.
Do you spray it? I had some spray stuff you could spray right on the piece of furniture they are scratching on. It didn’t seem to work. My Marley scratched till just about a year and a half ago. He finally stopped scratching my couch and carpet. Luckily, I am a stay at home mom so I was able to correct him when he clawed. Now he uses those cardboard scratchy things. Now Benji, so far, knock on wood, uses the cardboard ramp thingy too. Always has. Emma will not use it unless you put catnip on it. She is continuing what Marley started on my couch. I’m gonna get you Emma!! What to do? Any suggestions anyone?
Yeah, Kat, it is the spray on stuff—never used it. But, it does not work that great, eh? Only one of my cats will use that cardboard thing…the other two TRY to use the carpet. What about those soft claws?? Anyone try them?
Dee, I think the most costly thing and most meaningful thing our cats destroyed was a beautiful Lenox crystal wedding picture frame. Boy that was a mouthful! It was a 10×13 (is that right?!) crystal frame we had received from my mother for a bridal shower gift. We had it sitting on our stereo speakers and because he could, Danny (RIP) tryed to use the speaker to cross from the entertainment system to the couch. And, of course, you guessed it, knocked the frame, the beautiful frame w/our wedding pic in it, to…the…floor!! It shattered into a bunch of peices. I wanted to cry. What could we do? He didn’t do it on purpose.
Oh, that’s sad. Maybe that was Danny’s way of telling you he wanted HIS picture there. haha
These stories are so awful/funny! I just bought the book
Marley and Me. Has anyone read it yet? It’s gotten great reviews and is on the best-seller list. I’m actually afraid to read it beacause I start to cry just THINKING about the end.
I just finished reading Marley And Me..
You’ll laugh out loud reading about that goof of a dog!
Yes, there are sad parts but it’s such a nice read..
omg!! absolute lover of animals!! She is amazingly perfect!!
I guess a lost cookie is not so bad after reading about the roast and expensive couch. Right now the most horrifying thing that happen to me was when Casper was a kitten we were motel managers at the time and when I went into the living quarters and saw him hanging on the drapes with claw marks all over it. I thought we might loose our job. I found old drapes in the storage room and hung those.
That’s SO funny. I can picture him looking all startled after he was caught!
Not Casper he’s an angel he could never do anything wrong. (HEHEHE) That’s a scary story. Good thing there were extras.
omg!!! Your guy’es kittens are so adorable I can’t even believe it. I wish i could have her but I already have 5 of them. But keep it up with the pics. Your kitten is absolutly adorable I love the markings on her!!!!!!!! BYE BYE Now!!!!!
She’s beautiful!
I’ve been posting here for maybe a year or so and it is so nice to see that a “cat addict” community has sprung up!
she’s picture perfect! what a beauty! i have a few climbers as well…they are always looking for trouble but they are so cute as long as they don’t get hurt…it’s all good
