I love your marking Belle. From the fancy “M” on your head to your eyeliner…and those little but appropriate for your age, FB’s! Cute…cute…cute! And yes, my what big paws you have!
Thanks! I keep working on the site. I got all of Wiley’s albums up and now I need to finish sorting through Maddie’s and Kona’s and the “multi-cat” pictures I want to finish the kitty stuff first and then put up more of my running stuff, and then–finally–sorting out the regular (i.e., non-cat-pictures) photo albums is going to be a huge project!
Hi Kat, I hope you figure out the video clip thing soon. We pay for the ironcats domain and I’m learning the whole html thing as I go along. I don’t know how the blog sites work…if they’re different somehow. I would think it’s very similar to uploading a kitty picture except you’re uploading the video file and creating a link to it.
That little cutie does look like she’s going to be a big girl! Her fur looks so soft, especially there under the neck. I want to cuddle the little purring fuzz!
By the way…that looks exactly like my living room carpet, plus I have that same cat toy and that same cardboard scratching thing sitting there like that. It’s like that adorable fluff is sitting on my living room floor. I wish it was!
Hi Fuzz Pack! On my way to Augusta from Atlanta, not much time to talk, 30 miles from picking up Steele! Just wanted to say hi and we’re safe (jan). If I get a chance I’ll check in later (on Bryans’ sidekick-it gets web access, but I’m driving!) Bye for now! GS
Belle is the cutest little Tabby cat. I’m “new” to cats, but was told that a true Tabby will have the M on their foreheads. Don’t know how true that is, but Missy has a very pronounced M, as does Belle. Not to mention the FB’s (…rosie???).
Donna: I checked out your site, really enjoyed it, especially the slide show about Wiley and the stories of each cat. Very nicely done.
…………………….ahe………….ahe…..ahem!…………………………….ML, I tried to post on your site but it wont let me……….ptoooey……………………….
.anyway, Missy does have some FB’s on her!!……….
Thanks for visiting. I have a long way to go yet, what with more photo albums of all kinds and some pages for my running “addiction” (nearly as bad as my cat addiction). Plus, I want to figure out how to include a guestbook/comment thingy.
I have heard two “legends” on how tabbies got the *M* on their foreheads.. One begins with the baby Jesus crying. A tabby kitten cuddled Him and He stopped crying. Mary pat the kitten on the head and the kitten got the *M* for Mary or Madonna.
Another begins with the Prophet Mohammed. He loved cats and when one of his cats was sleeping on his sleeve he cut it off rather than disturb him ..Thus the *M* mark for Mohammed.
Fluffball! The PAWS! The EARS! the FUR!
The CUTENESS! ARG!
In non cat related news I saw a woman walking two dogs today: A boxer and a pug. So it sort of looked like she originally had two boxers, but washed one and it shrank!
Belle is beautiful! I can almost feel her softness through the screen. I am partial to tabbys and have also heard about the “M” but had not heard either of the Madonna/Mohammed stories. I’ll be google-ing that in a moment!
I googled the Tabby “M” and both stories about Mary/Madonna and the Mohammed & his sleeve were there. There is also some thought to the Egyptians and their ideal of the cat and the “M” standing for Mau. And, there is a book called “Pieces of my Heart - Writings Inspired by Animals and Nature” with a story about a barn cat called “Mother” and the “M” coming from the love a mother cat has for her young. I suppose which ever story touches you is the one to believe. The “M” also appears on Tigers and Cheetas. Have you ever seen a Tabby without the “M”?

I’ve never seem a tabby without the M…
I like the barn cat story as well…
They’re all nice stories!
Thanks for the pic of Special Ed. He’ll be posted Thursday. I won’t give details, but I had an opening in the line of kitties to be posted. Anyway, thanks again!
Hi again,
I had never heard those stories about the Tabby M. Very neat. Knew you all would know!
BTW, check out the pictures of Missy (from a different angle) and the petite Bear (poodle) on Amanda’s site: http://itsrainingcatsndogs.blogspot.com/.
Rosie: Did you actually see the Missy & Lavendar photo I posted on my site? If so, wow. I’m very new to blogs, can’t believe it worked.
Belle is adorable. Best of luck with her. I have two tabby’s and they both have the M mark. I have never seen a tabby without it, although some are more pronounced than others. I have heard the story of the mark in reference to Mary and baby Jesus. But I enjoyed the other stories also. Thanks for the insight.
What an adorable little ball of fluff! She looks just like my “baby” Precious who passed away almost 2 years ago. Seeing Belle just put a huge smile on my face! Thanks for reminding me of my sweet little girl!
omg!!! mi little (ok… big) kitty looks JUST like that! except shes 1 and a half… so shes not really so little anymore. is she part maincoon? noelle (mi cat) is part maincoon, part calico and all adorible! lol.

Hi Belle,
What a beautiful girl you are. She looks so soft and fuzzy. And like she has somepaws to grow into. How adorable!
I can see that Belle also likes posing and being very cute!
Such pretty markings and big, soft paws.
Fuzzy kitty!!!! Definitely a cuddly kitten (if she does allow you to cuddle with her that is).

*”It’s a terrible rough life, don’t ya know!”*
I’m glad to see that some people can get their eyeliner on straight this early in the morning.
What a cute little baby girl. If those paws are any indication though, she won’t be little for long.
She is so cute!!! Looks like she wants to be petted and played with.
“I’m waiting”
Good morning all.
Donna,
I just checked your site…… Looking good.

Good, the sicko’s comment is gone!
Belle is just so cute.
He’ll get to it Danielle! Donna, I’m checking on your site. Still haven’t figured out the digital video! I’ll get it though! One day!
Belle is so sweet. Just look at all that soft fluffy neck fuzz. I just want to bury my face in it!!

I love how she is standing—with her paws wide apart—like she’s all tough! She’s beautiful.
I want to snuggle her soft fur.
She’s pretty!
Her name is perfect, Belle Jolie-pretty girl!!!
What a cutie. Looks like Belle could be CeCe’s sister. Sweet little baby.
Belle, you are beautiful just like your name.
Belle is absolutely bellisimo!
=^..^=
A tiny little purr-machine. Love. It.
Cuddle-iscious.

I think the ‘M’ theory is true. And since my ‘real’ name begins with an M, I lay claim to ALL TABBY CATS!
*RUBBISH!*
………………..this fuzz is DEFINATELY the ‘Belle of the Ball!’….

Rosie! I’m not allowed to keep any sort of pet, so I get possessive - especially in the presence of Bella Belle!
