Moofur’s mother was a manx stray that my friend Rick and his family had been feeding all winter (they live in Michigan). She ended up having a litter of five kittens. Two went with one family. The mother and the other 2 went to another, but Rick just couldn’t give up Moofur. I wouldn’t be able to either!49 Comments »

Oh my goodness how cute!!!!! I don’t think I could have given him up. His eyes are beautiful. Looks like he will grow up to be a BIG kitty. Love the big ones. He does look like he has a wild side. Enjoy. Glad they all found homes.

Please everyone, please help get the word out about these wonderful kittens and their Momma. Two are being adopted, hooray! Now we just need to find a home for a few more and the Mommy, Grace. You might remember, these are the kittens that the ASPCA was going to put down. They really need a home!!! If you know anyone in the Houston area or anywhere for that matter. Two are being adopted from a wonderful person in New Jersey!
Moofur is adorable! Thank goodness he has a great home, as well as his siblings! Went to Houston Cat Hospital (our vet) to pick up more A/D food for the kittens. She had 2 more families “dumped” at her doorstep. Four babies that were left without a mommy, thank goodness they are about three months old. Spent a hour there calming kittens. Anybody in Houston, THESE KITTENS NEED HOMES. CONTACT HOUSTON CAT HOSPITAL — 713/782-MEOW. PLEASE HELP IF YOU CAN!
Kim1, if these are those beautiful orange and white kittens I saw from someone’s link I told them that since the woman that has them is moving to DC if she would come by way of Richmond, VA (which is right outside of DC for the most part) that I would take one of those beautiful babes. If you can get me her email address I’ll email her and tell her that myself.

For all of you with teenagers or who have had teenagers, you may want to know why they really have a lot in common with cats:
Neither teenagers nor cats turn their heads when you call them by name.
No matter what you do for them, it is not enough. Indeed, all humane efforts are barely adequate to compensate for the privilege of waiting on them hand and foot.
You rarely see a cat walking outside of the house with an adult human being, and it can be safely said that no teenager in his or her right mind wants to be seen in public with his or her parents.
Even if you tell jokes as well as Jay Leno, neither your cat nor your teen will ever crack a smile.
No cat or teenager shares you taste in music.
Cats and teenagers can lie on the living-room sofa for hours on end without moving, barely breathing.
Cats have nine lives. Teenagers carry on as if they did.
Cats and teenagers yawn in exactly the same manner, communicating that ultimate human ecstasy — a sense of complete and utter boredom.
Cats and teenagers do not improve anyone’s furniture.
Cats that are free to roam outside sometimes have been known to return in the middle of the night to deposit a dead animal in your bedroom. Teenagers are not above that sort of behavior.
Thus, if you must raise teenagers, the best sources of advice are not other parents, but veterinarians. It is also a good idea to keep a guidebook on cats at hand at all times. And remember, above all else, put out the food and do not make any sudden moves in their direction. When they make up their minds, they will finally come to you for some affection and comfort, and it will be a triumphant moment for all concerned.
My kids aren’t that old yet, but I know kids who are. This is right on the money!!!

My Aleks likes his chest rubbed, but not his belly
My kitty loved her tummy rubbed SO MUCH, that when she had to go for an ultra sound, she just laid there and stretched and posed and acted like a big jelly bean.
‘Big jelly bean’? Love it! What flavors were the babies?
Well, unfortunately it wasn’t ultra-sound for a good reason… It’ll be a year in July that I kissed her goodbye. She was 19 yrs old, my sweet princess and all the jelly bean a person would need. Licorice she was.
I knew I’d put my foot in it. I’m at least glad I brought back loving memorires.
It’s ok, Aubrey. I’m happy whenever I think of her.

Moofur hasn’t been to the vet yet to be fixed, but he is all male currently.
He’s not really chubby either, because he also needs his vet visit for all his shots and to be dewormed as well since he lived outside for the first 2+ months of his life. Though he has had round worm dewormer already. He has a little green harness and leash now too.

My cats never looked that cute. Then again, my cats rarely have their eyes open.

Yesterday’s kitty was a sweetie, too.
First time post here, long time visiter. I had to share a quick story; I had 4 cats at the time, and yes they all loved they tummys rubbed. As I came in from work on this particular day I was met by Sam, Squeeks, Rosie & Kiana all in a row on their backs with these “wow Mom we’re sure glad you’re home” goofy smiles on their faces. it blew me away and it all decended itno cuddling maddess. Thats my story and I sticking to it. Pretty funny, huh;-)
