Maggi K
About two weeks old, we found her in a neighbors yard after midnight, crying as loud as she could. Here at four weeks, she was having a little fun in the flowers. She finally began eating and drinking from her bowls at six weeks, so now we can pack away the bottles for another time.68 Comments »

Oh my cuteness!!!! how adorable. I’m happy to hear she is eating on her own now. Good for you guys to take her in. You will be forever grateful

I had to look closely. I thought for a second there that it was a really fuzzy flower or lawn ornament.
Heheh. Now I see it’s a Maggi K!

She looks just like the beautiful little Russian Blues we found when they were about 3 weeks old. We were going to fatten them up and find home for them, guess what? We did, ours! We still adore them 13 years later. Your little Maggi K is delicious!
What a delightful welcome wagon! That kitten is almost lethally cute.
Beautiful deep blue kitty! Her color is so striking, she almost looks purple!!! Spiking way off the cute-o-meter!
Hi, everyone. Here is a link to cut and paste that will take you to The Humane Society US. It seems like people have stopped talking about puppy mills–perhaps they mistakingly believe they no longer exist. But, they do! It’s up to all of us animal lovers to educate people who may be unaware of these barbaric “puppy factories.” My favorite quote is by Edmund Burke: “All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.”

Hi Dee! I really enjoy your stories and links, and I’ve been checking out the eagles every day! Since you’re in Tampa, I thought I’d ask…do you know anyone or anywhere that would temporarily foster a mama cat and 4 kittens? They’re in the Miami area and in desperate need of a place to go before an evil landlord takes them to be put down. I know it’s a little far from you, but thought you might have some connections. If you have any suggestions, you could e-mail me through my link. Thanks!
I haven’t been at work five minutes and I already have a cute headache. What a wonderful little pot of delight.
ABANDON WORRY ALL YE WHO ENTER HERE FUZZ
Why can’t I grow beautiful kittens in my garden??
Dee,
You are so funny!
ARGH! CUTE!
MUST HAVE MORE KITTEN!
Pretty baby! LUCKY baby!
This is one of the cutest faces and the prettiest colors I’ve ever seen on a little fluff! The setting makes it even more beautiful - what a great picture! I wonder how the poor little thing came to be all alone and lost. Bless you for taking her in!
I’m kind of stressed this morning and not really thinking straight, so I have to admit that when I first saw the rock, I read “VELCOM” and thought “Hmm…sounds like a cell phone company - odd thing to put on a rock”…
what a cute widdle woobie!!
I’ll bet that sign says “Welcome to Kitten Haven”. What a beauty Maggi K is!
Ok, the following story made me sob at work! It’s another rainbow bridge story. I guess we don’t have to worry that all of the neglected and abused animals have no on to wait for at the bridge….
*WELCOME AT RAINBOW BRIDGE*
by Alexander Theodore, Bouvier, Fourth Year Resident
On the morning of September 11, 2001, there was an unprecedented amount of activity at the Rainbow Bridge. Decisions had to be made. They had to be made quickly. And, they were.
An issue, not often addressed here, is the fact that many residents really have no loved ones for whom to wait. Think of the pups who lived and died in hideous puppy mills. No one on earth loved or protected them. What about the many who spent unhappy lives tied in backyards? And all the dogs and cats who were abused. Who are they to wait for?
We don’t talk about that much up here. We share our loved ones as they arrive, happy to do so. But we all know there is nothing like having your very own person who thinks you are the most special pup or kitty in the Heavens.
That Tuesday morning a request rang out for pups and kitties not waiting for specific persons to volunteer for special assignment. An eager, curious crowd surged excitedly forward, each one wondering what the assignment would be.
They were told by a solemn voice that unexpectedly, all at once, over 3,000 loving people had left Earth long before they were ready. All the pups and kitties, as all pups and kitties do, felt the humans’ pain deep in their own hearts. Without hearing more, there was a clamoring among them - “May I have one to comfort?” “I’ll take two, I have a big heart.” “I have been saving kisses forever.”
One after another they came forward begging for assignment. One cozy-looking fluffy kitty hesitantly asked, “Are there any children coming? I would be very comforting for a child ’cause I’m soft and squishy and I always wanted to be hugged.” A group of Dalmatians came forward asking to meet the Firemen and be their friends. The larger working breeds offered to greet the Police Officers and make them feel at home. Little dogs and kitties volunteered to do what they do best, cuddle and kiss.
Dogs and cats who on Earth had never been given a kind word or a pat on the head, stepped forward and said, “I will love any human who needs love.”
Then all the dogs and cats, wherever on Earth they originally came from, rushed to the Rainbow Bridge and stood waiting, overflowing with love to share — each tail wagging a little American Flag.
OMGosh, Dee. That was great! I need a tissue now! I am saving this so I can email it to friends. Where did you find it?! Btw, just wanted to make sure you saw Karen C.’s comment above to you. #12.1
I found it “googling” on the internet (in lieu of work, apparantly!). I swear, I’m STILL all misty.
Thanks for the reminder about Karen—emailed her some links—hope all works out.
Whoops!! Try “apparently” instead of apparantly! I think I should get back to work!
Well Dee you saved me from consuming too many calories at dinner as I cannot eat as I am crying too hard after that beautiful story. I hope my two boys are waiting for me if not I hope they found someone to love them.
Dee, I just had to forward this to friends. Thank you for your stories and sharing information on the protection of all animals.
….this fuzz is ‘livin’ after midnight, anf rockin’ til the dawn!………………………………….

Maggie K is sooo way cute! and why did the KM let comment #32 post….that’s way disgusting!
She’s Smokin’
lucy kitty to have such a loving home. that is the perfect name because she is magical.
Oh! What a precious little ball of fur! God bless you and her always.
Thanks for everyone pointing out the rude comment (it’s now deleted), but please bear this in mind: I have to sleep sometimes, and comments posted while I am asleep will not be deleted until I wake up.
Wait. The kittenmaster….sleeps? How can this be?
I figured that constant kitten vigilance was one of the KM’s super powers. That and being able to harness and direct the cuteness of millions of kittens. And a spandex outfit with
“KM” emblazoned on the chest. And a tail.
LOL - “and a tail” - that’s excellent!
Actually, the description is spot on.
She is so cute! You’re lucky to have found her!
What a beautiful little lady… and this is a GREAT picture!!!
She is so cute with her little squashed in face. She is so dark that she looks like she’s part of the welcome stone!!
Hello lovely little kitty she looks so sweet…..
its so cute!
Hi Kittenmaster,
We really do like and appreciate this site and all the precious little faces. Thanks.
How cute! We had the exact same thing happen with a solid gray male about 2 years ago. We went outside to view a lunar eclipse, and when we called our other cat to come in, we heard this animal “screaming” like a banshee. We couldn’t find him and when I stepped inside the house to turn on the flood lights, there he stood on the front porch when i stepped back outside. He was about 6 weeks old and nothing but fur and bones. He looked me straight in the eye and kept “screaming” until i picked him up, took him in and fed him. Then he proceeded to crawl up in my lap and go to sleep. So that is how we came to have Cat #4. And just let me tell you, he is IN CHARGE of everyone and everything. I love him to pieces!
Spectacular!
*Thank You For Sharing This Beautiful Gift From God*
Oh my goodness, how can you not fall in love. She makes the saying “Love at first sight” a fact! No more bottles, awwww, I love how they put their little paws around it and suckle. The beautiful memories . . .
That has to be.. without doubt the cutest.. sweetest most precious baby kitten I have EVER seen.

I’m so happy that you guys found her. I have a litter of about 5-6 kittens living in my great grandparent’s garage that I can’t get open.
It’s heart breaking..
Good thing we feed momma cat plenty.
I’m hoping to get them out soon.
Oh, poor little sweetie! Such a darling little face! Two weeks is so young to be left alone…
Mom & dad have been reading me all your comments. I am making dad write this for me–I want to thank you all for your comments and well wishes. They got 2 more kittens last weekend that are my age; they are manx crosses and they came from a mountain home so they are named Whitney and Shasta–both female. We are having lots of fun terrorizing the older kitties as well as trashing the office. So best wishes to all you all and your kitties.
