MuklukMukluk got her name because she has so many extra toes it looks like she is wearing big mukluks on her feet. She was adopted from the Humane Society. She loves to get into everything; especially boxes, papers and of course packaging material!

Aaaaaaaaaaawh!! Sounds like my kity, Taboo. Not the extra toes part but the paper part does. Sounds like my old kitten, Sugar, with the toes. She had 8 in the front and 5 in the back! Awkward isn’t it!

I am glad I don’t have to pay her manicurist bill!

This kitty is such a honey. I would love to have her delivered to my home anyday of the week.

My Taffy liked to play in the foam “peanuts” they would stick to his fur when he jumped out of the box.

Special Delivery Fuzz! She is a sweetie. We have to seal our boxes right away or put them in the garage until they can be recycled, otherwise we have peanuts and packing material from one end of the house to another. I have one boy, Freddy, who loves to lick/chew the tape, too! I love polydactyls, too. I had a kitty, Mary, who was many-toed!

So after checking a lot of the comments about Izzy yesterday, I went and got her a few little toys and some treats. I came home and went to go find her so we could play. Weel, shes was missing. Turns out no one had seen her since Sunday. We looked for her alllll day and couldnt find her anywhere. After a while we really started to get worried because we remembered that a day or two before she had tried to jump onto a chest in the livving room and smacked into the corner when she missed. The one thing we did find was an open air vent in my brothers room, which scared us but we didn’t really think she was inside it. The whole day went by with no results, until my mom got home at eleven and they searched the garage. I’d say it was about 11:30 when they found her nestled in among all the junk out there. I guess she just loves our garage. That’s where we brought her when we first found her. We didn’t want the other animals to get any fleas. She was only out tthere until it got cold, then we brought her into the laundry rom which is now her favorite room in the house. Last time we couldn’t find her that’s where she turned up about the fifth time I looked. My little kitten is just the master of hiding. Everything with Izzy is OK now. She’s back inside and a little confused about having some shiny new toys…actually its a few mice and some pretty things on sticks but she seems to like them….shes just confused is all. :-)

My Taffy loved a cheap set of pearl beads that I purchased frpm the craft department. He would run all over the house with them and it stopped him from raiding my jewelry drawer while I was deciding what to take out.

    Hi Kristen,
Glad you found your Izzy. One thing you have to do is be patient with her. Try to spend time everyday with just her without the other kitty. I have a cat who is ’shy’ and a pushy kitten who would take over if I let him! So I always make some alone time with my Sydney.
Stay in touch. I think I can speak for all of us, we want to know how it’s going.
Good luck to you and Izzy :))

Izzy will come around. I have a shy boy, Thierry Henry, and even though he has never warmed up to strangers he is now a total mama’s boy. I get awakened every morning by him squishing on me and begging to be petted, sometimes he just lays on me and pets my face with his paw. As long as he loves me and I get to stroke his bunny soft fur, I don’t mind that he hides whenever we have company. (he has a couple of exceptions to the scared of company rule. He loves his aunt Beth and Aunt Sandy) I know Izzy will come to love and trust you given time.

Such a sweet baby, but what is it about cats and those styrofoam peanuts? I have one cat that knows they’re in a package before I even open it, and if I throw them in the waste basket she’ll go digging around to get them out. Very weird.

I know this will take time and right now I have all the time in the world…well at least until school starts but I’ll make time for my animals. Thanks for the tip about seperate kitty time. I love Cuddles and she’s so sweet but she always steals Izzy’s attention and toys and treats. I’m gunna try the alone time after she’s a little more comfortable with playing and stuff. My room should be a good place she loves it but the cats aren’t technically allowed downstiars in the basement….. so it’ll be a treat to get to sneak around my room again :-)

Lovely, lovable sweetheart doing what little kittens do best–getting into mischief! And with extra digits to do it! Good thing cats don’t have opposable thumbs! There’d be nothing they wouldn’t mess with. Civilisation would change drastically. (Actually, that doesn’t sound so bad these days. . .)

Great advice chris! Nobody else has mentioned cat nip yet. And Kristen don’t how old your kitty is but sometimes they only respond to it when they are sexually mature. Happened to me with my Nikki-Kat. she first reacted at 9 months or so. She goes totally bonkers and then she collapses from sheer fatique!:))

Advice: Raise the live stuff if you possibly can. It smells better and is more attractive than the dried, plus it’s cheaper. Catnip is a cousin of spearmint and has many of the same growing habits (like aggressiveness!). It’s easy to raise, but if you cannot get it out of the reach of strays, find someplace else. It will attract every stray in your neighborhood.

Very cute….. But Please be carefully of package materials my cat got a hold on one of the peanuts and tryed to eat he thought is was popcorn . My husband gave him popcorn so he thought the peanut was popcorn. My husband had a hard time getting it out of his mouth. And got bite for his trouble. He could have choked or gottten sick from it.
And yarn is bad too. If they eat it . It can get twisted around intestines and cause damage. Or even kill them, so be carefull Please what kitty plays with. Voice of experience. keep cute kittens coming. Thanks

In ‘Cranford’ a puss eats some old lace that has been washed in milk to keep the colour, but returns it without damage to lace or herself thanks to an emetic. I’m on the northwest English coast and am currently catless. Sigh! First time since I was four years old and I hate it. Too close to a very busy road and not a great neighbourhood.
This little charmer would do me very nicely thank you.

What an absolutely precious picture! This kitty will bring you lots of happy times. A little mischief is good sometimes. There’s a little stray kitty here at the campground and she’s so tiny. I pet her and am trying to become closer to her. I don’t want to force myself on her. I don’t really have much time to spend with her right now. The busy season is almost over and if she is still around, I’ll have to see what develops. I have 3 indoor cats right now, 2 of which I got here at the campground (Tigger is 3, Pip Squeek is 6, and Spooky is 12). Seems this time of year, people drop off the litters of kittens. Already found a home for one sweet babe. Hope you all have a good day and love your kitties!
