Why do you say she is unusual? She is very pretty which is not unusual in tabbies.

    a few interesting cat facts….

Cats prefer to eat their food at 86º F, which is why they don’t immediately gulp down the half-eaten can of food from the refrigerator.

In 1987, cats overtook dogs as the number one pet in America.

Cat whiskers are found on the face and on the back of the forelegs as well.

Cats spend 30% of their waking hours grooming themselves.

    Cat’s can’t taste sweets.

Cats rarely meow at each other. Meowing is reserved for “speaking” with humans.

Studies show that if a cat falls off the seventh floor of a building it has about thirty percent less chance of surviving than a cat that falls off the twentieth floor. It supposedly takes about eight floors for the cat to realize what is occuring, relax and correct itself. At about that height it hits maximum speed and when it hits the ground it’s rib cage absorbs most of the impact.

I gave my last litter names of Harley Davidson motorcycles, took them to a neighborhood yard sale and set the box down next to my Harley, they went like wildfire!! Everyone loved that they were getting a cat named after a motorcycle, Knucklehead was the cutest, and bravest, he would try anything, he went first. Sportster was the smallest girl, and zoomed around all of the time, so the name fit her well, she went next. Then came Fatboy, he is going to be a BIG cat. I wound up keeping “Springer”, because that’s the type of motorcycle I have…it was fun.

I’m far from a religious person even though I went to Catholic school till eleventh grade, but that’s another story. I do have a lot of faith in St. Francis and so I asked him to watch over your kitty. Hope he/she gets well soon.

How about names from Jane Austen novels? You already have an Emma. Name the boy kittens Darcy, Bennet, Bingley, and the tiny girl Lizzie. (Pride and Prejudice is one of my favorites…lol)

We have a little tabby in the woods around our house (where both Angus and Misha were found needing homes)– this little tabby comes for food and water but shows no interest in being friends (unlike Angus and Misha) but we call this little cat Graymalkin, and every night when I call up Daily Kitten, we say if there is a tabby kitten posted then we know Graymalkin (Mallie) is okay. Kind of dumb, but there you are. Glad to see a tabby tonight (Misha requests more marmalades, and Angus prefers glossy black.)

Most kitties will be friendly if they’re not removed from their moms too soon.

Pita is SO sweet and adorable! Please give her a big and gentle hug for us.

May God bless you and Pita and give you long lives. :)

Pita is a picture of beauty! The face markings esp. around the eyes are gorgeous. The “M” isn’t as well defined but is there, just a little smaller. She is beautiful none the less. Reminds me of my Tigger. Keep her safe and give lots of love to her. Keep the cute kitties coming!
