Willow is a sweet little girl that we just adopted a few days ago, after her whole litter was abandoned in front of a post office. She’s a little bitty thing, but our Siberian Husky dog adopted her the minute we brought her home.

how precious a nice end to a rough day. Give her lots of hugs for me…my tortie is 17 years old and is talking to me as I write this. She wants the water from the bathtub turned on so she can drink lol..
What a precious little blue-eyed bundle of love! Lovely markings, too. We could just take her and give her a big and gentle hug! God bless you and Willow always. Do you know what happened to her litter mates?
To Susan in GA if you click on to the Daily Kitten the title on the page you receive it on whether it is on my yahoo like mine you can bring up the current kitten and two others from the day before. I hope this helps .. I just can’t waite to see The Daily Kitten. I look every morning before I go to work at 10:07 AM Central time. I work from 11Am to 5Pm
That is cause Kittenmaster fell asleep at the wheel today :))
Posted very late, I was starting to feel very anxious thinking I was going to be without my daily fix!
Adorable! My tortie cat was about that size when I adopted her from the pound 11 years ago! Her eyes went through several beautiful color changes (for awhile they were purple) before deciding on lima-bean-green when she grew up. I hear torties are supposed to have a bossy attitude; my Mokey sure does! But she’s such a wonderful kitty I barely mind when she does things like wake me up at 5am because her favorite water dish is not quite fresh enough and she doesn’t want to drink from the other one. SPOILED.
Kathy the DK didn’t show up on my home page till after 7pm either. I check it daily as does Susan. The Kitten Master is slow sometimes. But who cares as long as we get to see the kitties.
Yafooey has been on my poop list all week. I haven’t gotten any of my sites from gophercentral for all of last week and this week either. Supposedly Yafooey is blocking them I just figured they were messing with TDK too.
she’s absolutely precious. bless u for rescuing her and i hope her siblings and mom went somewhere good too. i love that your dog adopted her too…so sweet
Willow is a very pretty kitty. I just love her little paw sticking out. It looks like she’s trying to escape from the blanket.
“Ma! I just want to go play!”
I love, love, love torties I have two of my own, one I got as a kitten and one I adpoted as a stray cat on our acerage(turned out to be the neighbour’s cat they didn’t want anymore). This kitten reminds me so much of my two kitties I had to leave at home for college. Sigh. Such a beautiful kitten though! Especially since it’s a tortie. And when it’s older I’ll bet it’s going to get some of the attitude too!
I WAS FOUND IN A TRAP ABOUT TWO MOUNTHS AGO.I HAVE BEEN LIVING WITH VERY LOVING PEOPLE FOR THE REST OF THE TIME. I AM GETTING VERY LOVING,GET ALONG WITH OTHER CATS. I STILL GET SCARED EASY, BUT I LOVE OO PLAY WITH BALLS. I AM VERY CUDDLY. WE WENT TO THE CAT SHELTER AND FELL LOVE WITH THIS CUTE KITTEN, AND ADOPTED IT. WE HAVE HAD IT FOUR TWO YEARS NOWS.
Whay is going on with abandoning litters of kittens lately? I wa driving home from errands today in the heat of the California desert, saw a cardboard box on the side of the road and just had a feeling….and guess what was inside. Four tiny kittens, eyes barely open and dehydrated and hot, but alive. Needless to say I rushed them to my vet who is going to keep them until they are well enough for me to bring home and raise. He said they will probably be fine because they weren’t left in the heat long, possibly for less than an hour but how could someone do that? The part of highway I found them on was very isolated and I only took it to avoid the endless construction out here. It was only by a miracle that I drove that way and stopped for the box. What are the odds? Obviously the person who dumped them is a horrible, dispicable person and if I could have just 5 minutes with them…well, never mind, this is a happy site after all. Thanks for listening everyone, I just had to vent. Wish me luck with my new family. Lots of love to all (especially all the unwanted babies out there.)
One last rant and I’ll stop: How dumb is it to know that you don’t want kittens but still let your cats get pregnant? Hello, it’s not that hard to figure out to get them spayed and there are lots of assistance programs to help with the cost. Ok I’m done, thanks again everybody.
Thank goodness you stopped, Riley. Bless you for your kindness. I can assure you, that you will be repaid with much kitty love! Nothing is better than kitty love. I know, because I have several cats, myself. Best wishes to you and your new family.
It was meant to be that you found the wee babes. Thank heavens you decided to take an alternate route. Can’t wait to see them on this site after you get them home. Please keep us informed!
Willow is an adorable bundle of FUZZ! I know Willow will bring you much happiness.
*Bless* you a million times for adopting those helpless babies! Yes, I agree–people who abandon animals are not fit to live. And I agree–there’s no excuse. Neuter/spay your pets or don’t have pets. Also a good idea not to let pets run loose, whether they’re neutered or not–so many awful things can happen to them. Don’t have to be a rocket scientist to figure that out.
It’s so good to read about good people like you who care about animals. May those kittens give you many cuddly years of purrs!
Riley, you were sent there because you “knew” you were needed down the alternate road. I thank you and bless you for taking the time and energy to pull over and go to the vet.
As other posters said, you will be repaid tens times over.
What a lovely little sweetie..She is so lucky to have found a loving home.
People who don’t neuter their pets and then abandon babies makes me ill! I hope there is a special place in hell for anybody who can throw out little animals as if they were just so much garbage!
Willow is darling! I adore torties! Reminds me of my Dannie. I, too, agree that torties can be *somewhat* demanding, but I prefer a kitty to have a personality! Here’s to adorable, fun times, and the fabulous calamity that is a tortie kitten.
I rescued a tortie baby from a construction site a year ago. She had the best personality and we adored each other. Sadly the pollutants she was exposed to before we got her out of there damaged her lungs and she only lived 13 months.
Whipsey was my first ever tortie. The comments I’m reading here are making me think I need to make my next kitty another tortie! I just loved Whipsey’s personality. Only problem is she wasn’t good at spelling. Kept getting her Y and E mixed up. Kept thinking my toEs were her toYs. lol.
Christabean, you need to get a fountain to give your kitty fresh water all the time
Susan, just remember you gave that baby a much better life every day she owned you.
Dottcomm1, ask any vet you can find about posting an adoption form on their bulletin board, and also check with other rescue organizations for hints and help. I work with local vets for my rescue operations and they are lifesavers!!
what a sweetie! and you are so kind to take her in!
i think the kitten we are keeping from our stray’s litter is the tortoise. she’s so playful, yet can be extremely cuddly. the rest need to be adopted out, but the spca is full. i have exhausted all options…any suggestions??
Hi, Dott. Have you tried putting up a poster at your local veterinary’s office ? Mine allows people to post pets that are up for adoption and business cards also. Good luck. Hope you find homes for them all. I would be a sucker to adopt them but I already have 27.
Oh, what a dear little face! Look at the line down the centre, dividing her face into two tones! Shes a little harlequin! Bless you for adopting that precious little one! Love her always!
And thank-you, Kittenmaster, for your wonderful site! So you post late once in awhile. . .we know you’ve got a life too! Your site raises awareness of the plight of unwanted kittens, and demonstrates the joy that adoption and responsible pet raising can bring–and the lovely pictures every day create a lot of happiness!

i think there is a special circle of hell reserved for people who hurt children and animals, at least i hope so!!!
this baby has the cutest “crazy” eyes, glad she has a great home now.

She is adorable. I have always had a weakness for torties!
I’m so glad that I got my kitten fix today! This kitty is soooo cute, with its little paw sticking out.
I’ve never had a tortie (or a calico or even an orange kitty), but it’s on my to-do list for sometime in my life.
What a stunning little girl!

Well, who wouldn’t adopt her?! That is the sweetest face!!
The kitten’s a gorgeous baby.
So, Kittenmaster, what time did you *actually* post the September 12th update? It certainly wasn’t the time it says it was.
Yep, you got me - I was about five hours late. I’ve recently moved house, and still have no web access.
Sorry everyone!
Hey, not a problem. RL issues and bumph catch hold of everyone sometimes. I was just wonderin’.
