Miss Diva Emma is doing just great with her little babies, although I found one outside of the crate this morning Oops….I have found Erwin he is the biggest baby and as mellow as one can be at little less than a week old…..these kittens already know me as I talk to them often during the day, and they know my smell, some actually come twords me and dont mind being held already, My husband called this moring from Texas, and we may have a forever home for one of them !!! yeah………I am taking requests for kittens if anyone is interested, and By the way Miss Elizabeth shoe is due any day now so there might be a spotted in this batch just keep that in mind. *A Living Love*

If you have ever loved an animal, there are three days in your life you will always remember . . .
The first is a day, blessed with happiness, when you bring home your young new friend. You may have spent weeks deciding on a breed. You may have asked numerous opinions of many vets, or done long research in finding a breeder. Or, perhaps in a fleeting moment, you may have just chosen that silly looking mutt in a shelter — simply because something in its eyes reached your heart. But when you bring that chosen pet home, and watch it explore, and claim its special place in your hall or front room — and when you feel it brush against you for the first time — it instills a feeling of pure love you will carry with you through the many years to come.

The second day will occur eight or nine or ten years later. It will be a day like any other. Routine and unexceptional. But, for a surprising instant, you will look at your longtime friend and see age where you once saw youth. You will see slow deliberate steps where you once saw energy. And you will see sleep when you once saw activity. So you will begin to adjust your friend’s diet — and you may add a pill or two to her food. And you may feel a growing fear deep within yourself, which bodes of a coming emptiness. And you will feel this uneasy feeling, on and off, until the third day finally arrives.

And on this day — if your friend and whatever higher being you believe in have not decided for you, then you will be faced with making a decision of your own — on behalf of your lifelong friend, and with the guidance of your own deepest Spirit. But whichever way your friend eventually leaves you — you will feel as alone as a single star in the dark night.

If you are wise, you will let the tears flow as freely and as often as they must. And if you are typical, you will find that not many in your circle of family or friends will be able to understand your grief, or comfort you.

But if you are true to the love of the pet you cherished through the many joy-filled years, you may find that a soul — a bit smaller in size than your own — seems to walk with you, at times, during the lonely days to come.

And at moments when you least expect anything out of the ordinary to happen, you may feel something brush against your leg — very, very lightly.

And looking down at the place where your dear, perhaps dearest, friend used to lie — you will remember those three significant days. The memory will most likely to be painful, and leave an ache in your heart.

As time passes the ache will come and go as if it has a life of its own. You will both reject it and embrace it, and it may confuse you. If you reject it, it will depress you. If you embrace it, it will deepen you. Either way, it will still be an ache.

But there will be, I assure you, a fourth day when — along with the memory of your pet — and piercing through the heaviness in your heart — there will come a realization that belongs only to you. It will be as unique and strong as our relationship with each animal we have loved, and lost. This realization takes the form of a Living Love — like the heavenly scent of a rose that remains after the petals have wilted, this Love will remain and grow — and be there for us to remember. It is a love we have earned. It is the legacy our pets leave us when they go. And it is a gift we may keep with us as long as we live. It is a Love which is ours alone. And until we ourselves leave, perhaps to join our Beloved Pets — it is a Love we will always possess.

Dee… thank you. We lost Anne McCatfrey after 23 (yes 23!) years and she still visits us… a warm spot on her favorite pillow, a silly memory… the ghost of a muzzle nudge… she’s still here as long as we remember.

Beautiful Tortie!! My first baby was a Tortie, I called her Mudd, which is what she looked like. I lost her 4 years ago at 18 years old & still miss her very very much, she was quite a talker.

CANBERRA (Reuters) - A prized cow that lost a leg in a farm accident in Australia may soon be walking back on all four hooves after medical experts offered to help its owner find an artificial leg.

Farmer Geoff Heazlewood began the search for a new leg for his breeding Jersey Theresa two months ago after the cow fell down a river bank and broke its leg, forcing vets to amputate the limb between the knee and ankle.

Theresa is a prized breeding cow at Heazlewood’s stud farm in the southern island state of Tasmania, with genetic lines from Canada, and the farmer said he was determined to get the animal back on four hooves.

“I just want to try and do the best I can for the animal,” Heazlewood told Reuters Wednesday. He said prosthetic legs were common for dogs and cats and were worth trying for a cow.

“The cow is perfectly well,” he said, adding that Theresa was able to hobble around her paddock despite losing the limb.

He said four prosthetic limb makers and experts had offered to help make and fit an artificial lower leg.

Heazlewood said an artificial leg might be unusual for a cow, but most stud farmers and breeders would go to extraordinary lengths to look after their animals.

Hey, everyone! Jellybean–oohhmy! one of many cuties! Dee, you got me blubbering, again!!
Baby, my 4-legged daughter is doing much better after having to swallow gel-caps and getting liquid medication down her little throat. She had one of her treats this evening; chicken lung. She isn’t chowing down as she did before, but I believe that will come aback, soon.
I had been sssssooooo worried about her–all sorts of bad scenerios in my head!! I’m still praying her health continues on this up-swing.

My sister just lost her cat. She had him for almost 20 years. His rescue was pretty spectacular. We heard him mewing and discovered him at the tippy top of a fairly young tree. Thinking hunger and thirst would bring him down, we put food and water at the bottom of said tree. Three days later he was still howling and hadn’t moved at all. We grew so worried and sick for him. He cried constantly - it was heartbreaking. And then a friend told us that many cats die in trees. This galvanized me into action. I called the local fire department and told them the story. Ten minutes later some of Chicago’s finest, and, I would like to add, most handsome, fire fighters got him out of the tree and snuggled him into a blanket we had given them. We left him in the basement w/ food, water, a bed and a couple of kitty toys. Every day we would try to make contact, but he was just to scared. One day my sister opened up her back door and he ran inside talking up a blue streak… as though it was about time someone let him in! Little Willy never did stop talking. He was one of the dearest, kindest little cats I’ve ever known. If you were down, he was right there by you. If you were happy, he was even happier. If you were sick, he wouldn’t leave your side till you felt better. He wasn’t even mine, but I have such a hole in my heart for both her, and him. He left this earth very comfortably w/ my sister at his side. When he took his last breath he actually reached up to touch her face w/ his little paw, as he often did to express his love. God bless little Willy. God bless all rescues and those that rescue them.

What an absolutely adorable ball of Fuzz! Jelly bean is such a cute name. It makes my day brighter now. We are having rain like there is no tomorrow. Anyway, I’m typing one handed as Tigger, my 16lb bundle of joy, is up on my shoulder getting his morning lovin in. He likes to look at the Daily kitty pictures too!
