Sophie
Sophie and her four siblings were born in my backyard in our woodpile. We’d been feeding their mom, a feral cat we named Buttercup, for about a year and we discovered her gorgeous kittens when they were about three weeks old! They are the sweetest things ever, and we are trying to find them all good homes.62 Comments »

faint tigerstripes FUZZ!
Actually its a siamese. I got one called sim-sim and shes kinda fat. I wish i had Sopie instead
I was thinking more “Get this camera outta my face!” kitty.
ahhhhhh - how wonderful of you - love her color!!
I love this kitty. So adorable!
I love the washed out colours
Such a little doll
“Hey, what’s that? Can I see? Can I can I huh?? Lemme see. I wanna see!!”
Followed by >click!< and a teeny-tiny fluffbutt jumping eleven feet straight into the air…
I love kittens.
I wish I had room for one more in my tiny two bedroom place. I’m bursting at the seams with four.
I *love* Sophie’s pink nose and blue eyes.
What a little cutie-face! You are a nice person for rescuing the kittens and also for feeding the mom.
Sweet baby, but who is that over her shoulder a sibling or mom? I hope you find them all loving forever homes and bless you for keeping mama fed. If she lets you near her, it might be worth it to take her in and have her spayed and consider her your outside cat. There are organizations in many cities (Like the shamrock society in Louisville that will help livetrap and spay feral cats)
Average number of litters a fertile cat can produce in one year: 3
Average number of animals in an average feline litter: 4-6
In seven years, one female cat and her offspring can theoretically produce 420,000 cats.
I want the orange one in the background!!!

Those blue eyes are just gorgeous! What a lucky kitty fuzz!
My boss forwarded this to me because my husband and I are crazy about our 11-year-old calico. I thought it was cute…
It’s not a cat it’s…
A small, four-legged, fur-bearing extortionist.
A wildlife control expert impersonator.
An un-programmable animal.
A four footed allergen.
A hair relocation expert.
A treat-seeking missile.
A lap-warmer with a built-in buzzer.
and you forgot: a furry alarm clock with teeth!
A frightening accurate alarm clock………..I like the Hair relocation specialist Tee Hee
Hmm, thats interesting because all my alarm clocks came with claws. Oh, and you forgot Opera diva in training.
All so true!
oh Miette, you’re so right! and they are sure to let us know when we’re late getting up in the morning or late getting home from work. My Katie has saved me from being late for work when the alarm clock failed, or the operator…..haha!
They are precious!
Sophie you are precious too! God bless your keepers for feeding you and your siblings and mamma, I hope you all find a warm and loving home.
Funny how they also know when you need them the most. I left work sick yesterday with a stomach bug. All afternoon my independent calico Gracie was a little kitty heating pad next to my stomach. Later when I transferred to the couch she did too and stayed cuddling on my tummy until I went back to bed. Normally she is the one perched on the back of the tallest chair, queen of all she surveys and won’t cuddle. She even held my face between her paws. The rest of the night the fuzz babies took shifts staying next to me. I’m much better today and I am sure they will be back to the normal routine too.
I was visiting at a friend’s house last year and was having a low blood sugar problem. I got some jucie and while I was waiting for it to do the trick her cat and dog awakened and sat next to me one on each side until I felt better. Teddy Bear was always friendly but Kitty was still a bit standoffish as she was a rescue feral kitten. They became my protectors that day.
we have something in common, i have diabeties and my “kids” wake me sometimes for no reason that i can figure out. almost every time they have done this my blood sugar is under 60. they are a great way to wake up, even if i do have the shakes.
i wish mine were not so spoiled, i would love to take one or two…or three… ihad better stop now, or there won’t be room for me in my place.
I hope the kind person who took care of the kitty family will post on the whereabouts of the kittens presently. I sure hope they are all in good homes…
We live next door to the original finders. We took the kittens and mama into our home, nourished them, provided veterinary care, spayed mama, and found homes for all the kittens. Mama is still with us, and has become a very loving pet. Happy ending to this story.
What a dreamy color - and beautiful eyes!
CREAMSICLE FUZZ
Latte FUZZ…
Bless you for helping!!
this is kind of funny…

Stare with the exact same expression whether you’re looking at nothing or an axe-murderer.
Wait till your human lays out their clothes and decide this would be the perfect place to take a nap.
Race through the house, hair on end and stop in an attack pose. Then walk off nonchalantly. Repeat as necessary.
Play with invisible objects.
Wait till your human is asleep and jump up and start kneading any available body parts.
Figure 8 your humans legs while they are walking around the kitchen cooking something you won’t get a bite of.
Before your human gets out of their bed, make sure you are napping in the bathroom doorway.
Leave gifts of small animal body parts in your human’s shoes. Then wait to be praised. Stalk off if not rewarded for your gift.
If you absolutely have to go to the vet, cling to your human’s head, howl at the top of your lungs, and spew hairballs on the vet.
Wait till your human is eating, then jump on the table and shed.
Using the litterbox at your human’s mealtimes can be great fun.

How about hacking up a hairball in the doorway of the bathroom.
Susan
Usually they hack it up right beside the bed where yu are sure to step in it LOL
You are right I have stepped in it there too but the wet, slimmy hairball on the tile floor is as slippery as a banana peel.
she is beautiful. All kittens and cats are beautiful. I wish I had space for one more. I have already rescued three myself.

*Cat Owner’s Prayer*

Because I’m only human,
It’s sometimes hard to be
The wise, all-knowing creature
That my cat expects of me.
And so I pray for special help
To somehow understand
The subtle implications
Of each proud meowed command.
Oh, let me not forget that chairs
Were put on earth to shred;
And what I like to call a lap
Is actually a bed.
I know it’s really lots to ask
But please, oh please, take pity;
And though I’m only human,
Make me worthy of my kitty!
Makes me think of a saying;
‘Oh, Lord…please help me become the person my dog (cat) thinks I am.’
Ok, these are pretty bad…

SOPHIE IS A CUTIE!!!!!!!!!
Sophie is a real cutie……and who is the darker orange one in the background? Whoever you are that has these precious babes if you live anywhere near Richmond VA I would love to have the dark orange one…..
Sophie, you are such a sweet-faced little schweetie! May God give you, your mama, siblings, and human parent(s) a long and happy life.
Bless you for helping the kittens–and what beauties. We live in about an acre of Pennsylvania woods and always have cats (feral, abandoned, who knows) around our house. Two of them came right up and said- We want to be your cat, and we adore them. It is so hard with the feral and abandoned cats. Every day I leave food several times for our pensioners, and try to help them. We leave the garage door open all winter so they can have a safe place, but so many ignore this. Happy always to hear about some other little cats saved from a short drama filled life on their own.
SO CUTE. Looks just like my kitten Sandy.
soft soft soft
soft fuzz soft colors soft stripes soft blue baby blue eyes soft soft
I’m very glad to hear that you take of the Moma kitty. I saw a kitten the other day going to work it was in the parking lot of Mc Donalds. I got some chicken strips pulled out of the lot. Got a block down and turned around and gave the chicken to that kitten. On my way home i went back by there to see if it was still there. Of cours it wasn’t. but I think of that kitten everytime i go by there.

this web site is good i like all the kitten here
That is very kind of you. Please consider trapping the feral mom and having her spayed. I am new to animal rights and trapping but I read up on the internet, borrowed a trap from a shelter, and did it myself with a totally feral 5 month kitten that was sighted outside my Chicago apartment building. My site has photos of my feral kitten Zen and a links page for more info about ferals and strays. I got big discounts at a shelter clinic since she’s feral. http://www.myferalkitten.com
she is sooooooooo adorable!!! i love kittens and she is just gorgeous!!!
