NoodlesNoodles doesn’t think that anyone in the house should have any private time at all. He knows how to stay out of the way… but not too out of the way. He is afraid that when a door closes in front of him that he will never see his human again! I suggested we just leave the doors open until he adjusts… (whoops!)

My two torties never outgrew that sort of behaviour. Besides, why should I not wish to have either of them sitting where it was warm and comfy? And I could NEVER close a door without being made to regret it…

Enjoy the little love bug just try not trip over him :)

    Oh my goodness.
And I thought my kitties were….um, curious. (Though I did have a kitten try to share the seat with me once or twice…a nice loud FLUSH solved THAT problem straight away. He now gives the toilet the same sidelong look normally reserved for the vacuum cleaner and the going-to-the-vet cat carrier…)

not necessarily. mine think that is fascinating and I found timing was everything in keeping them from getting the paper before it was properly disappeared. They see it as their personal water trough, and I’ve gotten used to the seat having wet-paw spots. You got kids or pets, you don’t get ‘pristine’.
and hey…if they’re so happy with so little, what’s ‘with’ OUR odd-ball values???

Be careful about them drinking out of the toilet. My cat got a gastrointestinal bug called giardia. I couldn’t figure out how this indoor cat got that, but the vet said it could have come from drinking toilet water. Fortunately medicine cleared it right up.

My Ludmilla comes running when she hears the shower running. She has to be in the bathroom when I’m in there. When I shower I close the door, but she sits on the toilet to keep guard– I guess— while I get clean.

This pic is hilarious. Not only because of the kitty, but cause someone else came in to snap a photo. Too much!

Does Ludmilla do the Shower Dance?? Snick gets into the shower, walks along the rim of the tub, then lets his back legs down into the tub and crab-walks sideways toward the water til it just dampens his fur…then he hops out, licks the water-drops away, and repeats it a couple of times.

We have to keep his bathroom door propped open because he locked himself in one night and was traumatized. Noodles is sooo cute. this has to be the funniest photo on daily kitten yet. As to sharing the bathroom with your kitties…my girl Phoebe has now decided that she must drink my bath water…replete with bubbles…AND she prefers it if I cup some of the warm water in the palm of my hand and lift it up to her mouth as she sits on the side of the tub. Now before you lecture me about dirty or toxic bathwater…I’m NOT that dirty and the bubblebath liquid is very gentle and very diluted. Phoebe has chronic sinitus and her vet suggested we let her in while bathing or showering because the warm, moist air soothes her nasal passages. Phoebe initiated the tub water drinking ritual…and I oblige her with a few sips EVERY morning….it keeps her from slipping into the bathtub while trying to drink on her own — which isn’t a pleasant experience…I have the scars to prove it!

LOL, My Gracie likes to drink bathwater too. Especially if I am using bath salts or that oatmeal stuff. She also loves to sit on the edge of the tub and smell the fragrance of bubble bath. Thierry likes to catch the drips from the tub faucet and Emma stays as far away from water as possible!

You’re right–suspiciously clean. Perhaps cleaned for the occasion? I would suggest (or rather hope) that the gentleman in the picture is actually fully clothed above the knees and that the underwear shown came straight out of the dresser drawer. I find this thought strangely comforting. . .

Priceless picture, though. Well worth the trouble of staging.

I agree. What is offensive is seeing someone doing their “business” with the cat in the underwear. There a ton more adorable pictures of cats in bathrooms then seeing them sit in a man’s underwear. Some men aren’t known for cleaning themselves after using the toilet. Therefore, a cat in the underwear is considered gross.

I prefer to think that, while this may actually happen (in our house, there is certainly no such thing as a closed door! lol), it is a “staged” photo. As in, well, they do x, and it’s silly/funny/adorable, so to take a photo of it, I’ll keep something else on, but let’s put some boxers around my ankles while I pose for a minute on the toilet, and give everyone a good laugh. It really is a cute photo, and personally I like to give people the benefit of the doubt when it comes to personal cleanliness. I really don’t see anything to be offended by. I mean, they did cut it so that nothing could be assertained than it’s most likely a man, and that their bathroom floor is quite clean.

This is too funny! My fuzz has to wait out side the door when I am “indisposed”. He gets his paws under the door and tries to grab at my pants. Once my DH had to detach him as he has pulled them halfway under the door into the hallway! I usually wad a piece of TP and put it near the door so he can play. He gets pretty viscious with it, rolling around on the floor and banging into the door. So cute!

My son had to do major repairs on his bathroom door because the cats always came in while someone was showering, thereby leaving the door wide open to let in the cold air. Also they insisted on jumping into the tub to lick your legs dry as soon as you turned off the water!

Noodles is too cute. My late cat Southpaw used to have to be in the bathroom at all times. He sat on the back of the toilet while I was in the shower and then promptly licked my toes when I was finished. He never missed a day. As for the people who can’t see the humor in this picture, I’m sad for you. I hope you don’t take life too seriously.

I’ve found that my girls are usually looking for fresh, running water, and they lick my hands and feet when I’m just out of the shower because they want the fresh water. Putting in one of those running fountains just for my cats to drink out of really has gone a long way to satisfy their desire for fresh water.
