Calli

CalliCalli loves to lay in the pillows and and crawl up under them and hide. She usually does this when her brother and Mom are looking for her to play. Calli’s mom was a stray I found and brought home to take care of. Now all three “rule the house”.

Tunnel Cat! Does she jump under the sheets and blankets when you make the bed? My tunnel Bug does that!

My Scratch does that!!!! So I just do my best to make the bed around her.

What a lovely little Calli. She makes me want to go snuggle.

Bug will let me make the bed but wants me to play with him while he’s under the covers. Watch out when smoothing the coverlet! He chases my hand all around the bed, then gets board and slides out from under and goes on his way.

Cute baby :)
So all I am acclimating the kittens out into the general population slowly……I let them out to run around highly supervised………They were absolutly hilarious……….I watched them run and jump and what I call the sideways hip hip hop, and of course kitten chicken…….the older cats were running around with them it was complete fuzzbutt mayhem………I laugh and laugh at thier antics………..when trying to put them up, Anne gave me a royal chewing out so I was forced to let them out again LOL

The coloring on that little face is so perfect!

It’s felt like a long, long week at work. I’m counting the minutes until I can go home, lay down on the sofa and snuggle with my kitties. In the meantime, I’ll just look at Calli and relax a little bit.

2006-12-15 17:38:06

My daughter’s name is Callie and she acts just like the kitten Calli! Wonder what’s up with that? The two college kittens, Charlie and Lucy, are completly ruling the house and the 3 big kitties are finally establishing some sort of report with the two babies. The tree is up with lights and one ornament. The kittens are now ignoring the tree so a few ornaments will go up this weekend. Thanks for the tree tips from yesterday. I have a bowl full of clementines and the kittens don’t touch them. Clementine peelings are going under the tree tonight! In response to the low comments for weekend kitties I pledge to post for them! By the way, I am in Tupelo, MS.

I love, love, love calico cats. This girl looks like a real snuggle puss! My calico Lucy is 9 years old now. She came to us as a stray and skinny as a rail but has turned into a real purr-baby. Her former owners couldn’t afford to take care of her so just turned her loose in our neighborhood. Oh well, their loss was my gain and I love Lucy dearly.

I am not aloud to make the bed without the cat kids helping. So I pretend to make it, to amuse them for a while and then I go plug in the curlers, make coffee and feed them. Then I go back and make the bed so it looks made. This is a daily thing I learned from Mom. She did the same thing when I was a kid. Doesn’t everybody?

Cats have ruled the house since I was born. Is there really somebody out there who gets to run they’re own house? What a concept! What neatness they must have–what order!!! I cannot imagine.

I call it “rooting” when they poke under pillows and covers, nose first. I loved the cat songs yesterday too. I also sing to the fuzzfaces.

“The boys in the band, the boys in the band, the boys in the band, the boys in the band..and the little girley toooooo.” They love it. We discuss everything. The perfact eye-contact cats make, makes me sure they understand absolutely every word. They are good listeners too. I believe when they purr, they are praising everything in creation. Purring is a way of giving thanks for life. Did you know cats even purr when they are in pain? I wish I could do that. They never cease to amaze me every day. A vet told me they cannot find any biological part inside a cat that they use for purring. There is no physical explaination for this behavior! I think it is indeed supernatural. Native Americans believe that when an animal can do something profound, they have special gifts so they are “medicine animals.” Grandma always said cats are very special people. Coming home to them every day is the best thing I do for myself.

Calli is adorible. Kisses.
