Big Boy, Tiger, and Tiny
So sweet and red.
They cuddle in bed
How could they have been left behindy?

“They will have warm and safe permanent homes soon I hope!”…And there isn’t a poster on this blog who wouldn’t gladly be one of them in a heartbeat! :) Adorable.

You are so right! I would adopt all of these darlings in need of homes - in some perfect world. In my apartment building, they charge $300 per pet, and I have just adopted one “illegal” baby girl until I can save the money to pay for her. First, her own needs come before the needs of the apartment.

The one on the right sitting higher looks exactly like my Taffy did. He better be waiting for me on the Rainbow Bridge or no treats for him! Thank God for you and no kill shelters for saving these babies.

Hi Renee,
Petey came on Thrusday we are having a lovefest here thanks for asking. I found a neat nylon cube for him that pop open like those hampers kids were taking to college. It has three portholes and can be connected to more but I don’t have room for more. I’ll send this home when he leaves and get another for his visits.

I just got home from my brother’s I had a great time seeing my youngest niece and husband and two kids. The girl is only a month and a half old. My oldest niece came from NYC for a one day visit.
I hope you have a wonderful Christmas and the same to all our other TDK friends.

What makes people throw them out side instead of cuddling by the Yule log!

These sweeties warmed my heart, I’m thrilled with such rescue stories. Such lucky, precious ginger babies.

I adopted a new fur baby today, a beautiful calico girl about 10 months of age, feisty as all get out! Do we -ever- have enough kitties??

Congrats on the new addition to you family. Lots of hugs and kitty kisses for your new baby. What have you named her?

Comment by Lisa in Ann Arbor
2006-12-24 14:55:01

Her name is Mosca –she didn’t need a precious name, because she is not terribly cuddly or precious, she has serious cattitude and will be ruling this house with an iron fist! LOL She loves to play more than cuddle, but that’s fine, there are plenty of other kitties who are cuddlers. The world needs all kinds of kitties.:)

Well, I am maxed out at 6 (all but two absolute strays), 7 if you count the once scrawny, now so obese he can hardly walk, Tom who gets all the food my 6 finicky eaters won’t touch.

I must resist … I must resist …. I must … resist…

Hi I will be getting a new kitten (also a rescued kitty) in 3 days. I have made a nice little seperated area in a small room for this new little girl. What is the best way to for me to introduce this little kitten (bout 7weeks old) to my 9 month old kitten Aeryn? Aeryn’s had a fair bit of socializing with other cats but mostly her own litter mates and a dog or two. Im guessing this little one is used to her own litter mates. Any help would be apreciated.

WHen I brought Taffy home DOmino was two years old I just let them do their own thing. For two days Domino would sit on the back of the chair and hiss if Taffy came too close after that he carried Taffy around by the scruff of the neck as if he was his mama. They were best buds after two days and would sleep together Taffy would use Domino rear quarter for a pillow. Taffy had half his tail amputated and he would chase after Dominos I think it was tail envy!
Good luck with your new baby we will be looking for the pictures soon. What a great CHristmas gift to your self and her.

Bring her in and then leave the carrier outside for the other cat to sniff. Take a blanket, towel, or cat toy that your current cat uses and leave it for the newcomer to sniff. That will give them a sense that there’s another cat in the house and should evoke curiosity. Aeryn is young enough that introducing should not be a problem.

Hi! I recommend you just keep the new kitty in a separate room for two to three days - after a day you can crack to door and let the kittens sniff each other a bit. Once you let the new kitten out - try putting a little oily tuna onto the new kittens fur. The other kitten should be happy to lick it off and they’ll make good friends!
Good luck,
