I love snuggles with kitties- want to crawl in with them….

    Observation for TDKers-
At a Christmas party we were discussing the differences between male and female kitties. Does anyone think that female kitties always sleep/sit nice and proper, while male kitties will “lounge”? Both of my girls sit nice and proper, and sleep curled up, while a friend has a male that will sleep in any position that he finds suits him. I think it probably depends on the cat, not the gender.

    Any comments?

    These guys are adorable.

Living with male and female cats, I have to say that it depends on the cat. My 3 year old tortie, Penny will stretch out or curl up depending on her mood I guess, and my year and a half old male is the same way.

I have had both male and female and both genders curled up although Domino male tuxedo would sometimes lie with one paw/leg over the edge of the table or whatever as an anchor.

Well, I think it depends on the cat. We have 4, two girls and two boys. Sam who is the oldest at 18 always sleeps and sits “properly”. Belle, Skittles and Benny just do as they please.
    Don’t most cats anyway, LOL.
As for the picture today…….they are precious sweethearts!!!!!

Depends on cat.. but as per my observation goes more number of female cats sleep/sit in proper position especially if they have kittens.. Perhaps they do become responsible and disciplined after parenthood ;)

Chessie, my male Tabby sleeps sprawled out… likes to lie on the floor on his back with his feet pulled up like a sea otter. Stormy my little girl, (she is about 2/3 the size of Chessie) Tends to sleep all curled up. Neither is a real cuddle-cat but they sleep at my side at night. They tend to go to sleep when I do…

I have to agree with most others, it depends upon the cat. My Annie will sleep anywhere from prim and proper to on her back with all four legs pointing in all four directions!! She LOVES to have her belly scratched.

And the two kitties on here are AWESOME!! I wish I could have them both!! :)

Cinnamon and Sintobus are so cute! They look like they are falling asleep watching a TV show…probably a western with lots of mice. Xena once caught a mouse that would run back to her and snuggle, until she ate it. Very strange! Maybe the mouse had toxoplasmosis: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toxoplasmosis Everyone please be careful when cleaning the catbox, especially if your cat(s) go outdoors!

They’re so sweet and they remind me of the first two of my five cats. One was a tabby and the other was a tortie…both long-haired females. They were six week old strays when I first got them and they used to sleep so close together that I actually thought one had escaped from the box they were in because it looked as if there was only one kitten. Sadly, though, as we brought more cats into the house, the dynamic changed and now each one of the cats seems to wish it were an only child. :(
