Miso when she was six months old. She loves to be in photos and pretend that she is not trying to grab the camera strap! She is now nine months old and has become an adorable big-kitten that loves to take naps in her mommy’s lap.

To Andi, the one whose voice teacher is looking for a home for her siamese. Where are you located? Hope she finds a good home for him/her. I would love to have another siamese but I already have several cats. My heart goes out to you.

Well since I have lived in this apartment for nearly three years and he has only been here once. I figure what he doesn’t know won’t hurt me! If he does find out and throws a fit Petey can go back home to my brother’s it won’t be like when he got rid of Domino and Taffy three years ago next month.

I did some cooking but not as much as usual. Mostly some dessert. Fruit salad & Banana pudding. Alot of people were supposed to show up at my mom’s but they didn’t. I did not mind. Lots of people showed up at my mother-in-laws. Her house was packed!
I notice you call it banana pudding in my family we called it Arkansas Pudding. No one else calls it that. I don’t know if some of my relatives made it there (Pine Bluff) and the name stuck even tho we lived in Chicago. Whatever the reason it is lip smacking good.
Susan, in my family, it has been called banana pudding since my mom was little. My grandpa called it that. He liked lots of vanilla wafers and bananas in it. So do I. Several years ago before he passed, he said I made good pudding! What a compliment. I live on the other side of Fort Smith but I know where Pine Bluff is.

My mama and her sister were both born in KS, Franklin and Mullberry to be exact. I have others running around in Carthage, MO and a bunch from TX.
I never did know why we called it Arkansas Pudding and didn’t realize till I moved to GA that others didn’t. That was nice of your grampa to compliment you that is a treasured memory for you. Too often we keep those thoughts to ourselves when we should share our thoughts and compliments.

I was born and lived until I was 21 yrs. old in South Shore at 78th just two blocks from Rainbow Beach. I went to HS on the East Side and then moved to Belmont and Harlem area. I moved when I was 40 yrs.old to Augusta, GA. And yes, I miss Chicago very much. As I said I live in GA but my home is in Chicago. Where do you live?

KENOSHA, Wis. — Melissa Gemig said she always knew her boyfriend’s marriage proposal would be unique.
But she never expected Brian Steinseifer to design a large, lighted Christmas display that read “MELISSA WILL YOU MARRY ME.”
The pair took a stroll Sunday night on so-called Christmas Lane, a stretch of street known for its colorful holiday displays.
Gemig, 21, asked her mother just before the couple set out for the walk what the chances would be that she’d be engaged by next Christmas. Steinseifer came over the night before to ask permission.
“I thought, ‘Little did you know you’d be engaged in an hour,”‘ said her mother, Kathy Gemig.
Steinseifer, 23, a designer for a Milwaukee advertising agency, said he got the idea a little more than week ago, through he wasn’t sure he could pull it off. He took a large piece of poster board and black construction paper and drilled dozens of holes through it, then arranged white Christmas lights to construct the proposal.
The last piece of the puzzle was securing a spot on Christmas Lane. Steinseifer’s mother asked her old high school friend, Sandy Poltrock, if her son could use their front yard for the proposal. She obliged.
My human will never let me eat her pet hamster, and I am at peace with that.
I will not puff my entire body to twice its size for no reason after my human has finished watching a horror movie.
I will not slurp fish food from the surface of the aquarium.
I must not help myself to Q-tips, and I must certainly not proceed to stuff them down the sink’s drain.

We will not play Herd of Thundering Wildebeests Stampeding Across the Plains of the Serengeti over any human’s bed while they’re trying to sleep.
Screaming at the can of food will not make it open itself.
I cannot leap through closed windows to catch birds outside. If I forget this and bonk my head on the window and fall behind the couch in my attempt, I will not get up and do the same thing again.
I will not assume the patio door is open when I race outside to chase leaves.
I will not back up off the front porch and fall into the bushes just as my human is explaining to his girlfriend how graceful I am.
I will not complain that my bottom is wet and that I am thirsty after sitting in my water bowl.
I will not intrude on my human’s candle-lit bubble bath and singe my bottom.
I will not stick my paw into any container to see if there is something in it. If I do, I will not hiss and scratch when my human has to shave me to get the rubber cement out of my fur.
If I bite the cactus, it will bite back.
It is not a good idea to try to lap up the powdered creamer before it dissolves in boiling coffee.
When I am chasing my tail and catch my back leg instead, I will not bite down on my foot. This hurts, and my scream scares my human.

Yes, my aeryn got some new springs and a ball of rabbit fir to play with. My family got her some cat treats and this toy whip. She also got a new litter box. She and her little sister got a toy that it like a hideout tube with two levels.
I did. I bought Petey that red nylon pop up cube house with the three round windows. I have it next to my puter if I am in my recliner he is in my lap.
What did you buy now fess up Dee we know you did?
“Santa” gave them new scratching pads, and a “purr pad” and “zoom around the room” catnip (they went NUTS over that! Tiny Emily bit my fingers when I was trying to get more out of the bag for her!) and a small toy for each (Gabriel tore the eyes off of his play mouse within a minute…).

After watching “It’s A Wonderful Life” for the umpteenth time, I was reminded of a beautiful poem Jimmy Stewart wrote about his dog Bo. In the 1970s, he recited it on The Tonight Show with (the great) Johnny Carson. It made Johnny (and Jimmy) cry. DO NOT read this beautiful, bittersweet poem unless you are prepared for a cry.
**My dog, named Bo**

He came to me when I would call,
unless I had a tennis ball
-or he felt like it.
But mostly–he didn’t come at all.
When he was young,
he never learned,
to heel, or sit or stay,
he did things his way.
Discipline was not his bag,

Gorgeous kitten! Looks like my Diana when she was a baby… ^.^ She’s an old girl now, my sweet Diana but she remains a frisky thing after 15 years. God blees your kitten and make her life as long and sweet as my Diana’s.

**Firefighters Use Tech To Rescue Cat**

BLOOMSBURG, Pa. — When coaxing didn’t work, firefighters used some high-tech gear to rescue Kitty the cat.
Lois Kessler said her pet fell through a hole in a closet floor and got lost behind the walls of her Bloomsburg home.
Firefighters used a thermal-imaging camera to pinpoint Kitty’s exact location.
Rescuers then cut through the wall to free the cat.
Assistant Fire Chief Don Long said his crews are always rescuing cats. But he noted this was the first time they’ve had to pull one out of a wall.

**Brussels sprouts cause turtle fart alarm**

A turtle given a Christmas treat of Brussels sprouts caused a Boxing Day emergency when it set off an alarm at a sea life centre – by passing wind.
Its bubbles in the water tank were sent up a tube to the surface, where they popped and splashed water on to a sensor.
Marine biologist Sarah Leaney rushed to the 500,000 litre tank in Weymouth, Dorset, assuming it was overflowing.
‘Sprouts are a healthy Christmas treat for sea turtles,’ she said. ‘But they give similar side effects to those experienced by humans.’

Yes I did all five cats & 2 chihuahuas got a gift ,by the way my cat’s all weigh more the my chi’s love today picture a real cutie!
Yes, my aeryn got some new springs and a ball of rabbit fir to play with. My family got her some cat treats and this toy whip. She also got a new litter box. She and her little sister got a toy that it like a hideout tube with two levels.
Not only my Knucklehead kitty, but all the ‘nephew and niece’ four foots too… All canine…..
I did. I bought Petey that red nylon pop up cube house with the three round windows. I have it next to my puter if I am in my recliner he is in my lap.

“Santa” gave them new scratching pads, and a “purr pad” and “zoom around the room” catnip (they went NUTS over that! Tiny Emily bit my fingers when I was trying to get more out of the bag for her!) and a small toy for each (Gabriel tore the eyes off of his play mouse within a minute…).
My kits got a katnip pickle with a bell on one end and red fringe on the other. It hangs in a doorway and is great fun, especially for the kitten.

I posted this last week—don’t think many people saw it. It’s a GREAT update on Bo-Bo the abused chihuahau—take a look at the new video footage of him. I’m worried about the fact that he is not up for adoption. They are not thinking about giving him back to the thing that did this to him, are they?

After watching “It’s A Wonderful Life” for the umpteenth time, I was reminded of a beautiful poem Jimmy Stewart wrote about his dog Bo. In the 1970s, he recited it on The Tonight Show with (the great) Johnny Carson. It made Johnny (and Jimmy) cry. DO NOT read this beautiful, bittersweet poem unless you are prepared for a cry.
**My dog, named Bo**
by Jimmy Stewart
He came to me when I would call,
unless I had a tennis ball
-or he felt like it.
But mostly–he didn’t come at all.
When he was young,
he never learned,
to heel, or sit or stay,
he did things his way.
Discipline was not his bag,
but when you were with him,
things sure didn’t drag.
He’d dig up a rose bush just to spite me,
and when I’d grab ‘im he’d turn and bite me.
He bit lots of folks from day to day,
the deliv’ry boy was his favorite prey.
The gas man wouldn’t read our meter,
he said we owned a real man-eater.
He set the house on fire,
but the story’s long to tell.
Suffice to say that he survived,
and, the house survived as well.
And on evening walks
(and Gloria took him),
he was always first out the door.

We’re early-to-bedders in our house
I guess I’m the first to retire,
and as I’d leave the room, he’d look at me
and get up from his place by the fire.
He knew where the tennis balls were, upstairs
and I’d give ‘im one for awhile
and he’d push it under the bed with his nose
and I’d dig it out with a smile.
But before very long, he’d tire of the ball
and he’d be asleep in his corner in no time at all,
and there where nights when I’d feel him climb up on our bed
and lie between us, and I’d pat his head;
and there were nights when I’d feel this stare,
and I’d wake up and he’d be sitting there
and I’d reach out to stroke his hair;
and sometimes I’d feel him sigh,
and I think I know the reason why.
He’d wake up at night,
and he would have this fear
of the dark, of life, of lot’s of things,
and he’d be glad to have me near.
And now he’s dead.
And there are nights when I think I feel him
climb up on our bed,
and lie between us, and I pat his head;
and there are nights when I think I feel that stare,
and I reach out my hand to stroke his hair,
and he’s not there.

I remember that show and I remember I cried also. He wrote a few funny peoms too and Johnny would have him recite them whenever he was on. I know I am getting old but somehow I just don’t get that excited when the new actors come on. With all the hair flipping and inane remarks.
