This picture was taken when Cloudy was about six weeks old. We rescued him from an animal shelter and he’s become the center of our home.

I know this comment is not profound or original but all I can say is awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!
Took the words right out of my mouth!
what a little sweetheart!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wearing little bermuda shorts and long fur, Cloudy is as cute as a kitten can be. He’s sure to brighten up your cloudy days.
LOL at the bermuda shorts. I had to look again and ya’ know? They definitely could be. Yup.
The blue eyes are so beautiful~
so adorable, sweet, precious kittens.
Love the little upright stubby tail!
Love the cute little upright stubby tai!
Aaaaahhhh! Look at that fuzzed out tail!!!!! Fur in all directions!!!! Too cute!
ohhhhh - what a cute furrball & love those white feet!!!!
A VERY SWEET LOOKING BABY SO SOFT AND CUDDLY HUG HIM FOR ME
I bet the picture is pretty clear when Cloudy’s around–lots of sunshine!!! So precious….
GRAY POOF fuzz
Cuddly little baby - love the tail and slightly started expression on his cute little face.
why arent my comments posting?
Not sure Elaine………..mine aren’t either.
Sweet little cuddle bunny! Love the tail and slightly startled look on his little face.
Cloudy’s stubby poofed tail and arched back had me LOL! Not the reaction he was going for, I’m sure! We shall call him Mr. Cloudy Thunderpaws, because he is so fierce…. (wink-wink, nudge-nudge)!
Thunderpaws? haha! Is that it’s American Indian name? I always joke that my Emily’s American Indian name is Crazy Cat.
Yes, it definitely has a Native American sound, doesn’t it? I have a Mr. Fattypaws (Freddy) at home…but it doesn’t sound as menacing or “noble” as THUNDERPAWS! How are you doing Dee…was you time off from work restful or chaotic?
uh-oh. Was I being politically incorrect? Are we exclusively using Native American now? I’m sorry if I offended anyone.
I loved having those days off. As the old saying goes; a bad day at home is better than a good day at work! haha!
I swear, I could so easily become a slacker for the rest of my life….just read, and spend time with friends and my cats, and cook (and eat!) and be a beach bum. This “career” thing is over-rated….
Amen to that career thing….I am at expert at doing nothing…but not having time to just let the world float by for awhile and watch and wonder can be crippling to we dreamers and thinkers out there. I just like time alone to think…and that is looked down upon but the “movers and shakers” and corporate America.. I’ve shaked and moved for over 50 years….now I just want to “puddle” for awhile!! OH, and I believe American Indian is just as appropriate….I didn’t change it to correct you, just typed it as I “heard” it…
Hi Dee : My Alfie’s American Indian name is Alfie Underfoot for reasons that should be clear.
Love the little gray fuzzbucket with the mismatched socks. Too cute and of course the upright little tail
Alfie Underfoot—how cute!
Thanks Dee, You know I couldn’t agree with you more about being at home..and if I lived near the beach OMC
(that’s Oh My Cat) I would definitely became a beach bum!
I would say that is my *goal* at this point in my life.
Hugs and have a good week! Oh, that includes everybody at TDK
I have Freddy FattyPaws!
Love the “injun” names and I am the only one who can call us injuns because I am American Indian. (Just kidding.) Actualy many of us enjoy the term, “First Americans” these days. Sounds much more prestegious than Injun, don’t you think?
Love this Cloudy boy. Sweet and kissable.
I am part Cherokee but in my case it was like when Jay Silverheels (Tonto) told Johanton Winters that one nose bleed and he would be out of the tribe! I figure the first time I shaved my legs I was out. I still claim them I don’t know if they claim me.
What a dollbaby! I love the white socks on his back legs!
everyday, each cat is cuter than the one before! he looks like a fluffy storm cloud. too cute.
What a sweetie!!!!!!!!!!!
I have posted before here. Maybe it is time for me to add my babies to the pictures????????
I also have a question if anyone can help……………anyone have a painless idea on how to remove matted hair from my Benjamin?
Thanks…………………
2catmommy—
Here is an informative article from one of my favorite sites—Doctors Foster and Smith…
http://www.peteducation.com/article.cfm?articleid=1136
Thanks for the link Dee. My Jiggs is getting on in years and can’t reach all parts of his beautiful Maine Coon body. My biggest problem is that he’s still strong and has fast reflexes and he’s got very sharp teeth and claws! I try to brush the fun parts that feel good then we work on the mats. He lets me know when he’s had enough!
Cloudy, you are so handsome!
Thank you Dee! My Benjamin is a big kitty and kinda chunky and has a hard time reaching his back too. I put this link on my favorites and will refere back to it for lots of other stuff! How coolllllllll! Thanks again…….Bless you.
carefully, with scissors, unless it’s too close to the skin, then consider a groomer, for possible clipping. Does anyone know if ‘hair-so -new’ is okay for cats?
oh I love this tail!!!!!!!
Talk about a puss in boots! He’s wearing white shrimping boots! Our calico has long white front legs. We say she’s wearing her opera gloves. Hehehe! Such a cute baby!!!! Thank you for sending the photo for us to enjoy.
What a cutie!!!!!!!!!
Question…………anyone have a painless way of removing matted hair from my kitty?
When I had my maine coon, I used to have to take little manicuring scissors and clip out the mats bit by bit. Smaller scissors are easier to control and make it less likely to slip.
How cute!! He looks like he is ready to rumble with the camera, on tippie toes and tail all fluffed and in the air and all. He is adorable.
Cloudy, may you be a constant source of sunshine to your parents and family. I have a kitty friend named Sunny! You have the cutest fuzz-butt I’ve seen in a while.
As for removing matted hair, if it’s really bad, just cut it out or even cut it through the middle and then comb out to save some fur. We had a himalayan that would get matted. We had a metal-toothed comb (not fine-toothed) that we got especially for mats from a pet store. Start at the bottom of the mat combing it out as you work your way up. Bathing only makes it worse. Try some tangle-spray that you would use on kids??? Never tried it but it just came to me.
Look at that tail, it’s shaped like a piece of pie.
What a tiny little thing! His tail so cute! Standing straight at attention. Mine are a good deal bigger than his!
FUZZBUTT!!!!!!
….ahem….I LOOOVEE Cloudy days!……….
Eep! What a cutie!
What a stance—he reminds me of the bumper cars at amusement parks! (Darnit, I wish I had a cat to squish right now!)
Fuzz ball with socks ,he’s a doll!
So, so cute.
OH MY how sweet are you? VERY VERY Sweet! What a cutie!!!
By FAR FAR FAR the CUTEST kitten i have seen on this website in the last 3 years!!
Here is something fun for Friday….
****2007 Pet Horoscopes****
ARIES (MAR. 21 – APR. 20)
This year is a time for Rams to experience more, and move less. Tune into your animal instinct for signs about you and your family’s life. Often you are ready to pounce on something new. In 2007, think before you leap.
Animal and Human Relationships: Now is the time to open up and provide comforting companionship to people and pets. Do take advantage of the rewards (i.e., treats or hugs) of good communication.
Health and Well-being: Speaking of tuning into your intuition, don’t tune out your body during the spring time. A visit to your vet, Ari, to tweak that junk food diet may be what you need to stay bold and strong like Arien pets can be.
2007 Pet Tip: Be prepared for novelty and sniff the new sensory delights of the four seasons.
Animal-Loving Celebrity: Aries Doris Day-Founder and President of The Doris Day Foundation.
TAURUS (APR. 21 – MAY 21)
Thanks to generous Jupiter, this is luxury-loving Bulls’ time to enjoy a new-and-improved home, pet-friendly vacation getaways, and state-of-the-art pet toys and beds. On the downside, you may have to share your space with another human or pet—but it won’t be a forever thing.
Animal and Human Relationships: Pet events, kids, and fun pet-related activities are in the stars for you from winter to spring. Get ready to get out of the house and enjoy the great outdoors.
Health and Well-being: Don’t let your ears perk up or yowl if you find yourself sitting in the waiting room at the vet’s office before the summer. It may be time to get a head to paw check-up so you can be in tip top shape for the summertime.
2007 Pet Tip: Vow to appreciate your human caretakers in your life, and be the faithful pet that you are meant to be.
Animal-Loving Celebrity: Taurus Jay Leno-Animals often make a guest appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.
GEMINI (MAY 22 – JUNE 21)
This year 2007 is the time when you turn a new paw, fin or feather and truly hear your humans—and get it. The year’s four eclipse influence your change for the better, whether it is acceptance of a new pet roomie or enjoying a more active life outside your past normal daily grind.
Animal and Human Relationships: New pet pals, animal-related organizations, and pet people may find you and you will feel freedom and unleashed.
Health and Well-being: The beginning of this year through the spring and pre-fall may be time to make changes in your exercise routine. P.S. Lose the high calorie snacks for your body’s sake.
2007 Pet Tip: Your intelligence will help you to adapt and face any new situation.
Animal-Loving Celebrity: Gemini Joan Rivers-is a known devout dog lover.
CANCER (JUNE 22 – JULY 23)
It’s the year for Crab critters to communicate on a deeper level with pets and people. No more secrets. Like Geminis, this year’s sun and moon eclipses affect you—but rather than socializing with a wide variety of acquaintances you may develop a stronger bond one-on-one with a fellow pet or human.
Animal and Human Relationships: You may face pesky non-thinking squabbles with bully pet roomies and/or your caretakers or strange animals running loose in your neighborhood.
Health and Well-being: If you learn to run not walk away from confrontation, you will not feel stress. Summer months are ideal for coping with a new lifestyle chock-full of regular exercise and rest periods. Translation: You will purr or wag your tail often.
2007 Pet Tip: Come out of your shell and resolve to relinquish insecurities with animals or humans.
Animal-Loving Celebrity: Cancer George Bush-The President has had a long history of pets and his current canine companion is Barney, a black Scottish terrier.
LEO (JULY 24 – AUG. 23)
Lion pets enjoy companionship in 2007. This is a great ego boost for Leo animals because they love to be around people and pets, all sizes, all ages. It will be a grand year for single pets who have been craving warm and fuzzy feelings.
Animal and Human Relationships: On the flip side, your new friends may have a secret agenda or weaknesses that you will see clearly. But note, you can and will practice coping skills (think safe spot) to beat pet high anxiety.
Health and Well-being: Energize yourself with a healthful diet, more premium food (turn your nose up at the generic brand), and interactive toys.
2007 Pet Tip: Be happy, don’t worry.
Animal-Loving Celebrity: Leo Martha Stewart-is a devout cat woman and has featured animal experts on her TV show.
VIRGO (AUG. 24 – SEPT. 23)
In 2007, count on a move with your family. Blame it on a variety of energizing planets but change may do you good. It’s time to let go of your shy behavior and toss caution to 2006. It’s a time to start fresh oh practical one and be Top Cat or Top Dog.
Animal and Human Relationships: If the move isn’t enough to move you, you can bet that your family members will be turning to you for comfort, guidance, and companionship.
Health and Well-being: Pay attention to your keen sixth sense to stay balanced and emotionally well. If you need your safe haven—go to it without hesitation.
2007 Pet Tip: Vow to love yourself first and you will have more to give to humans and fellow animals.
Animal-Loving Celebrity: Virgo Michael Jackson-is well-known for his exotic animals at his Neverland Ranch and often touted for his love of animals.
LIBRA (SEPT. 24 – OCT. 23)
The New Year finds you focusing on finding a delicate balance for you body, mind and spirit. Good stress can make both finicky Virgos and perfectionists Libras feel unbalanced but you will set your paws on staying grounded this time around.
Animal and Human Relationships: Listen to your inner voice—it will help peace-loving Librans to communicate their needs and get pampered with a capital “P.”
Health and Well-being: Exercise, exercise, exercise. No matter what season it is Lib, make sure you also get plenty of R&R to help you stay balanced.
2007 Pet Tip: Be the animal you strive to be and help others achieve their happiness.
Animal-Loving Celebrity: Libra Suzanne Somers-has a line of makeup products not tested on animals as well as offers animal print bangle bracelets.
SCORPIO (OCT. 24 – NOV. 22)
Welcome to 2007, Scorpy. Yes, new love and doing things differently will add gusto to your existence. Forget about Scorpion fears, petty jealousy, and sibling rivalry. This is the time to enjoy and show off the new you.
Animal and Human Relationships: Still, challenging times may time from time when dealing with chaos on the home front—but you make it work.
Health and Well-being: Spring is your time for nurturing. A groomer, vitamins, and pet massage may be the things on your caretaker’s calendar that keep you perky.
2007 Pet Tip: Be open to new experiences and discover the upbeat beast in you.
Animal-Loving Celebrity: Scorpio Loretta Swit, an animal person, is associated with Actors and Others for Animals.
SAGITTARIUS (NOV. 23 – DEC. 21)
This will be a year of good cheer for you and yours. Jupiter, a giving planet, is to thank for your zest for going for it, whatever it may be. Note: Don’t hold back, Sag. Snag your pleasure and run (or slither, fly or swim) –do not walk away.
Animal and Human Relationships: On the other paw, new friendships may move into and out of your world like a whirlwind but you will find it all a safari-like adventure.
Health and Well-being: Spring may be a time your nervous system needs a boost. A pet specialist (vocalize yourself so your humans take you to one) may be in order and counting to 10 in animal-ese is a must-do instead of ruffling your feathers or having a hissy fit.
2007 Pet Tip: Resolve to confront others but with the craft of a mellow pussycat.
Animal-Loving Celebrity: Sagittarius Dick Clark-Dogs play a big role in this well-known celeb’s life offstage.
CAPRICORN (DEC. 22 – JAN. 20)
While other pets are dealing with changes on the planet and in the home, you will be looked after instead of looking after others for a change. Read: It’s your year to be pampered and appreciated. Go on, roll over and shut your eyes.
Animal and Human Relationships: As a social, action-oriented critter, don’t be surprised if you relish lone days and nights and don’t bark or yowl or sit depressed in a corner. But do socialize on occasion for your sanity’s sake.
Health and Well-being: To soothe yourself during the cold months, hang out by the heater or sunny windows. In the warmer months take cover under a shaded tree or cool spot in the house.
2007 Pet Tip: Take time out to tune into you and enjoy self-reliance.
Animal-Loving Celebrity: Capricorn Betty White-This actress is a pet enthusiast and animal welfare activist.
AQUARIUS (JAN. 21 – FEB. 19)
Water Bearer it’s time to get the best of both worlds this year, due to the planets affecting your sun sign. If you give-and-take cuddles and strokes, you can help yourself to help others achieve happiness and peace no matter what changes happen in your world.
Animal and Human Relationships: Team up with your humans, whether it is exercise or down time. Yep, animals and humans can become best friends with no strings attached.
Health and Well-being: In the spring you may benefit from a pet professional to help balance any negative emotions. Think of it as a time to detox your inner being so you can enjoy the summer as well as the other seasons.
2007 Pet Tip: Resolve to be man or woman’s loyal confidant no matter what happens.
Animal-Loving Celebrity: Aquarius Paul Newman-Newman’s Own Organics is his premium pet food line; he donates to animal organizations.
PISCES (FEB. 20 – MAR. 20)
This year is the time for Pisces pets to get TLC. If you felt ignored or neglected last year, now is the time to get your attention. Psst: The planets and four eclipses are on your side to make it right in the upcoming months.
Animal and Human Relationships: People will come to you and offer praise for your good traits. Keep in mind, you are a touchy-feely animal so pay back the compliment with a nudge (or two). It will make bonus good pet points.
Health and Well-being: Before the summer rolls around, do whatever you have to do to get your caretakers to take inventory of your diet, exercise, and lifestyle. After all, it’s your 2007 to enjoy. Cheers!
2007 Pet Tip: Do hold your head up high and enjoy the good vibes from people and pets.
Animal-Loving Celebrity: Pisces Nancy Wilson-Her dogs are pampered pooches, whether it be staying at 5-star hotels to traveling in private jets.

He’s a cute little fuzzball! I must also comment on his straight up stubby fuzzy tail! CUTE!
Just too cute for words !!
His name may be Cloudy, but he brings sunshine to my heart! What a cutie! Kisses and hugs to the new baby.
Wonderful face, big eyes, a radio control antennae for a tail, and super-sized bobby-sox. He’s even on point?? How cute can one cat get??
Precious little puffball! Thinks he’s fierce doesn’t he?
Cloudy is soooo cute and fluffy!! One of the sweetest kitties I’ve ever seen!!
What a great story!
**Dog lost in Colorado found in Tennessee**
Fri Jan 5, 4:57 AM ET
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - Seven months after disappearing from her yard in Colorado, a rat terrier named Daisy walked into the arms of Tracie Crass in Knoxville, some 1,300 miles away. Thanks to Crass, Daisy got an airplane ride home.
Crass spotted 2-year-old Daisy wandering down her sidewalk on Christmas night. She assumed the 12-pound dog had slipped out of its home amid holiday festivities, so she brought the pooch on her porch and waited for its owner to come looking for it.
When no one showed up by the next day, Crass telephoned the number on Daisy’s rabies tag. She reached Daisy’s veterinarian, who contacted Daisy’s owner, Vonda Lundstrom of Aurora, Colo.
“The kindness of people gives you a reason to believe,” Lundstrom said. “It’s the best Christmas present.”
A cell phone photograph of Daisy sent to Crass confirmed it was the same little dog that dug a hole under the fence at Lundstrom’s home in April and disappeared.
With help from Knoxville’s Young-Williams Animal Center, Daisy flew home on Wednesday.
The reunion at Denver International Airport was memorable. “She licked me. She loved on me,” Lundstrom said. “I have my baby back, that’s for sure.”
Lundstrom has no ties to Knoxville and she assumes somebody stole Daisy. She said she has since filled in the hole under her fence.
“I’m going to do everything in my power to see that it doesn’t happen again,” she said.
a few good freebies from WalMart…
http://walmart.triaddigital.com/Free-Samples.aspx?fromPageCatId=11
Thanks, Dee…I was surprised at how soon I received my free Greenies sample after I followed your link to that freebie…keep em coming…
The WalMart samples arrive in less than 2 weeks. I love free stuff! I used the coupon for the free bag of Nutro cat food at Petco last night. The two younger cats loved it, but Atticus won’t touch it! How can he be so fat and so picky! haha! While I was there, a family brought in their puppy (I love that you can bring your pets in the store!) —a little pug puppy. He was just a baby. I was petting him (his name was Neil–how cute), and I could feel my heart turn into oatmeal! My three cats sniffed my hands when I came home—did not seem phased at all. When I get a larger apartment/house and am home more than a few hours a day, I MUST get a dog!
For those who may have missed it, here is the link for a coupon for free cat food….
http://www.nutroproducts.com/yourfamily/
and the free Greenies sample….(my two younger cats LOVE these…)
http://www.felinegreenies.com/en_us/2k6sampling/feline.asp
I love Pugs, too and Corgis… If I ever get a pooch…it’ll probably be one of those. I love labs, but after reading Marley and Me…I realize there might be a lot more of a committment than I am willing to make at this stage of my life…
Oh, I didn’t know you read that, too! I know Evangeline read it, as well. I sobbed so much reading that book!
And when Marley had that “accident” on the beach after drinking too much saltwater—that cracked me up.
I asked for it for Christmas based on what you and others had said about it….I read it font to back on one of my lazy days…. It reminded me of my daughter’s dog, Dexter in many ways. A great story!
I have an 8 year old corgi (Sir Nicholas) who thinks he’s a big red cat. He tries to groom himself like the cats do. He has attempted to meow a few times, too! He is at my parents house because of my 2nd job. It just doesn’t seem right to keep a dog locked up for 15 hours at a time. Besides my parents just love Nicky.
Cloudy, you are the sweetest fierce kitty I think I’ve ever laid eyes on. I love your stance… and who couldn’t love the tail!!!
mine either.
mine aren’t either.
I get to type in a code, then it still isn’t posted. do it again and it says I already posted it. Is it up? no.
I posted this the day it happened—-has anyone been paying attention to this amazing story? This man is a true hero! He was on David Letterman last night (I’m sure you can find the interview somewhere online…), and he got a standing ovation and I could not stop crying! Just when you think there is so much evil in the world, a story like this comes along and restores your faith in humankind. He said there were about 75 passengers who just stood by and watched or ignored the whole situation, but he and two other women helped this sick young man. As he said to David Letterman last night (I’m paraphrasing), “When you see someone is ill, how can you say, oh well, I’ve got to go to work?” What a beautiful human being.
http://www.wnbc.com/news/10664939/detail.html
I read about this earlier…he offered up his life for this young man…I agree, he is a beautiful human being!
my comments don’t get posted….either. I give up.
ADORABLE!!
about dematting-
this type of comb is really good http://www.petco.com/Shop/Product.aspx?R=6549&Nav=1&N=0&Ntt=comb&sku=320099&familyID=15400&
i have a different brand but it is the same basic concept, it doesn’t leave bald spots just gently cuts out the matted hairs, its great
Tail up kitteh! Too cute!
ooh, what a meeeeeeeean little baby!! (giggle) I love it when teeny-tiny kitties try to look thugged-out…esp. when they’re as adorable as this sweetheart is! And such cute little go-go boots he’s got, as well…
Here is the photo of the cat who was issued a credit card. Good thing he couldn’t use it—he looks pretty high-maintenance! haha!
http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20070104/od_nm/australia_cat_dc
A hilarious story! And kind of worrying too. Hope my cat doesn’t get any ideas.
You’re right, Dee, he does. But what a glorious color??
Glorious, indeed! He absolutely has “the Midas touch”.
He looks kind of ticked that his credit is cancelled! Looks like he would of ordered caviar and champagne for the neighborhood’s felines.
haha!
What a cute ferocious fuzzer…….looks like he’s wearing socks!!
He is a fuzzy little darling, too cute for words. What a sweet little face and neat socks. And that tail - awwwwwwwww!
Thanks for the suggestions on getting mats out. My Jiggs is a senior and can’t reach parts of his beautiful Maine Coon body. However, he is still strong and quick on the reflexes, and has sharp teeth and claws. I brush the parts that feel good, then work on the mats. He lets me know when he’s had enough.
Cloudy, you are so handsome!
You are lucky in that Jiggs is a Maine Coon. Get a slicker brush (wire teeth) and go to work on the “mat”. With a little effort, the mat will simply “shred” out. The nice thing about Maine Coons is that they have fur that doesn’t exactly “mat”. They will mat however it’s not as serious as a triple coat like a persian which would need either professional attention or to have the mat cut out which is REALLY dangerous in that the cat’s skin is extremely easily cut (personal experience speaking). I’ve brushed out Maine Coons who were matted from head to toe and have gotten wonderful results. After Jiggs is all “combed out”, just go over him every day with the slicker brush and he shouldn’t have any further problems.
I LOVE this kitten!!! Such a sweet heart. I love the white boots!
If you are a boomer you’ll get the reference: Do I hear Nancy Sinatra in the background singing?
oh nooo…..now it’s stuck in my head… “and one of these days these boots are gonna walk all over you…boom-boom-boom…boom bada boom….
Every time I hear that song I crack up! Did you know that the FBI blasted that song over and over to try to get David Koresh and the Branch Davidians to surrender during the Waco, Texas standoff?? I’ve always wondered why they chose that song!
Do you really need to ask?
It could have been “It’s a Small world afterall…” like what used to play in that Disney world ride….I almost jumped out of the boat on that one….I don’t think it exists any more…that was many moons ago.
I think the FBI should have blasted “Don’t Worry, Be Happy” by Bobby Mcferrin. Do you remember when the country was “swept away” by that song? That song could be why the terrorists hate us!
LOL! That’s another one….how about Achey Breaky heart?
Good thing nobody’s invented a time machine yet, or they might have been able to use “My Humps”! Now THAT’s torture.
Every time I hear that song I remember Nancy walking the “cat walk” with the white boots and pig tails! How funny!
What a sweet looking kitten, looks like you might have your hands full when he gets older. In my animal shop we call that the halloween cat stance. Absolutely adorable!!
