Tinkerbell and Zippy are litter mates. Zippy is the wild adventurous one and Tinkerbell is calm and beautiful. They have brought much joy to our home.

They are the cutest! They look so sleepy, did they just get finished playing together? Have fun with them
May I move in with you and these two outstanding babies? I love tuxedoes and these two are purrrfect.
Adorable. They must be what my cat Sarge looked like as a kitten. I adopted him when he was 4.5 years old. Not many people want to adopt adult cats, but I felt sorry for him. He was abandoned last February and I adopted him in September. For more than 6 months this awesome cat was available but no one but his foster family wanted him. Kittens could have been born, weaned and adopted in that time. He took to our new home quickly (I just moved from an apartment to a house) and slept on my bed the first night while his new step-sister hid under the basement stairs crying. Sarge is a sweetie. Everyone loves him. I know kittens are cute, but adult cats need love too. They’re already litter trained and won’t get into as much trouble as kittens. Plus they’re just as capable of bonding to you. So next time you’re ready for a new feline, please consider and adult cat.
I’ve said my piece. Zippy and Thinkerbell are very cute and they’re lucky to have you and each other. Litter mates are great together. I wish you many years of joy with them.
Thanks Jason for opening your heart and home to an adult cat. There are so many wonderful adult cats in need of forever homes. Your Sarge is a perfect example of how adult cats make great family additions. Hope his stepsister has stopped crying and come out of the basement. Thanks again for the reminder about adult cats. Many purrs to you.
Oh yes. Lena (my other cat) adjusted quickly. Within a few days she was acting like the house was hers. It took a while for her and Sarge to come to an understanding, but they have bonded and get along very well. It’s great that they have different, but complimenting, personalities. Sarge loves being held (he’s sitting on me right now) and Lena hates it. She’d rather I get on the floor and brush her. Both are well behaved and more importantly both are happy.
I also think wonderful to you Jason for taking on Adult cats. I wish there were more people like you where we live, Our Humane Society is a no kill shelter and there are plenty of adult cats that need homes. The kittens always get taken or looked at first. For your problem with the step-sister try a product called feliway. It will work.
An adult cat is the only kind I would consider taking in. But I can no longer afford vet bills so the one I have now must be my last, I’m sorry to say. If it were up to me I would have another 3 or 4 cats with me. I just can’t handle to vet charges when they get sick anymore. It’s a shame because I’ve had cats in my house for over 40 years.
I am sorry Jo that you won’t be able to have anymore cats. I am on disability and I know how tough it is to stretch the money. Mention this again on Monday maybe someone knows of a vet in your area that isn’t out to be a millioniare.
Jo if you do ask on Monday mention where you live.
I live in the northeast part of PA and from what I hear all the vets are the same. Prices are going thru the roof. My neighbors daughter wanted to get her kitten fixed and there was a $100 price difference from 2 vets 15 minutes apart. But both were very high. The only way they give help is with spaying costs. As far as illness you are on your own. My tortie has almost all her teeth out due to her having her jaw broken when she was an outside cat and chronic sinus problems. It cost me $100 per tooth. I always make sure she has her meds but I had a 22 year old cat who looked like Tinkerbell, who I had to have put to sleep last year because she had a siezure and I could not afford the hundreds of $ the vet wanted to just run tests. They said she had a brain tumor. Can you imagine what THAT operation would have cost? I have a friend who told me she spent $26,000 on her dog once. That’s right I said thousand! She had a good job abd could afford it. Most people can barely keep up with their bills even working a full time job. That’s the problem here. If you HAVE a job these organizations say you make a few $ too much and you’re out of luck. If it were up to me I would have an entire house full of adult cats. Esp if they look like that 20 pounder on MSNBC! Now HE was a cutie!
Where do you live? Many cities/counties have assistance programs. Check with your local Humane Society chapter..
I’ll check, but since they are all complaining about not enough $ for themselves, I doubt if there are any programs for people who have cats with medical problems. MY cat is sick again I see. another sinus thing. I always have her pills on hand. I won’t let my baby suffer. I would do without meds myself before I would allow her to be without!!!!!!!!!
not telling
I agree, my husband & I took in a great cat that showed up at our doorstep. We tried to find his owner, but had no luck. We didn’t want to send him to the SPCA because one of his eyes was surgically removed. We knew it would be very hard for them to find someone to adopt him. And we couldn’t leave him outside because he is declawed. He is very handsome & loving. We all fell in love with him very quickly.
Lovely babies with tempting pink noses! It is great to have two cats in one’s house and two litter mates - even better!
Zippy and Tinkerbell are so sweet! I have always wanted to adopt litter mates and the next chance I get, I will. For now Gali and Max are enough. I would need a bigger place and right now, that’s not an option. Hmmm, maybe in the near future…..
They are adorable. Even though I am much more of a dog fan, than cat fan, I have to admit they are pretty cute.
Tinkerbell and Zippy are so precious. Such a cute picture. They remind me of my 2 cats, who are sisters and the same color. They are so adorable.
Two super cuties! One has smooth fur, the other has the wild fur. Love those dark golden brown eyes. Way too cute. I bet they both get whatever they want and when they want it. BTW Love the bright happy color scheme these two get to live in.
Have a great day TDKers!!
“One has smooth fur, the other has the wild fur” …
what an observant comment, Teresa - their fur matches their natures …
Tinkerbell and Zippy are ADORABLE …
What cuties! They look as if someone just woke them up.

So adorable, you’d forget to go to work. I’ll take a six-pack.
Zippy runs around
And keeps the pace
While Tinkerbell casts
A glow on the place.
A dynamic duo
Is what they are
To hold em and kiss em
I’d travel quite far.

Hi Rowan,
Please tell us more about the series as who wrote it etc. Also are you of Scots decent as you sound like my great grandmother she was born in Glasgow and then moved to TX, USA where she married very, very young.
Hi Susan, here is a little info on Catwings from Wikipedia.

Your fuzzies are SOOOOO CUTE!!!! I like them, I have a kitten, named Plinko. He would get along. He would like to plot something with them too! : )
Fuzzies,
Shelby
My year-old Tonk is Zippy!!!! These guys are adorable too!
Re: Comment by James in Illinois - I agree! I haven’t had a kitten since I got my precious Taterpoons. Tatie died eight years ago at age 19. But I haven’t been catless, not at all. All my cats since were adults when they came to live with us. These were strays that just showed up and we adopted, but my AbieDoll is a shelter cat that was abandoned when her people moved away and left her. I love kittens, but they all become cats in the end and that’s the ultimate goal, isn’ it? - to have a loving feline companion for many years.
It’s great that you’re taking in adult cats. A year from now all the kittens we see on this site will be adults and look and act very different. But a year from now our adult cats will look and act pretty much the same, if not better since they had time to adjust to their new home.
they are so cute
thanks
do you have one
Welcome to all new posters! The more the merrier!
They are identical twins!!! They are vey cute!!
Ahhhhhh as usual
we are thinking of calling our cat (when we live somewhere where our landlord isn’t mean and lets us have pets) Zippy, though after the singer from Dragonforce
Two gorgeous kittens, bursting with mischief and delight. FUlly deserving of more comments than a mere 58!
Thank goodness the clinic reported this!
**Dog Given Aneurysm, Killed After Sales Pitch**
Cleveland Clinic Reports Surgeon To Ag Dept.
POSTED: 10:05 am EST January 12, 2007
CLEVELAND — An investigation is under way at a renowned research hospital after an unauthorized demonstration involving a dog.
The Cleveland Clinic said a neurosurgeon used a dog with an induced brain aneurysm to demonstrate a medical device to salespeople on Wednesday.
The dog was anesthetized during the demonstration and euthanized afterward.
The hospital uses animals for medical research but says it “doesn’t allow procedures with animals for the sole purpose of sales training.”
It’s unclear whether the aneurysm was induced in the dog solely for the sales demonstration. An aneurysm is when arteries or blood vessels bulge and eventually burst, which can cause severe damage or death.
The clinic has reported the incident to the Department of Agriculture, which regulates animal testing.
**Hunting dog hits trigger, kills hunter**

Staff Writer
A 28-year-old duck hunter was killed when he was accidentally shot by a hunting dog on an inlet of the Cumberland River in west Nashville, a state wildlife official said today.
The victim was identified as Thomas Ayer St. Charles III of Carriage Drive, Metro Police said this afternoon.
The man had gotten out of the boat to pick up decoys at the end of the day, said Cape Taylor, Tennessee Wildlife Resources law enforcement supervisor for Davidson and several other counties.
A hunting companion, who didn’t have waders on, remained in the boat, where the other man’s shotgun lay on the floor.
“The dog apparently jumped back there and hit the trigger of the gun,” Taylor said.
The safety lock had either not been on or the dog hit the safety button — depending on the type of shotgun — and released it, he said.
The shotgun fired and blew a hole through the side of the boat, striking the man in the water in the lower abdomen, he said.
“He said, ‘Call 911, I’ve been hit,’” Taylor said, repeating what the other hunter had told officials.
The 911 call was made to Metro at about 5:50 p.m. Thursday.
Emergency personnel could get to the men by driving down River Road, he said. The slough where they had been hunting is just off the west Davidson County road.
The man who had been shot was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he died, Taylor said.
The death at this point is considered accidental and the only evidence of any breaking of regulations was that the hunter who remained in the boat did not have a current hunter education certification.
“That’s something we’ll address in the future as part of our investigation,” Taylor said.
The man who died did have the certification.
Anyone born Jan. 1, 1969, or after, is required to undergo the training. Taylor said it’s recommended for all hunters of any age.
Hunters, also, are advised to unload their firearms as soon as they are through for the day, he said.
The incident is the second death this month in a Midstate hunting accident. The other was a deer hunter who was mistakenly shot by his brother outside White House. Neither of the brothers were wearing the required blaze orange clothing.
