Ina
This is Ina (pronounced EEna) at about three/four weeks. I found her by a dumpster at a mall when she was a week old (and very sick). She’s deaf in one ear, the reason her first mommy left her. Now, at six months, she’s bigger than most of the cats around her and is as crazy and sweet as ever. Oh yeah, she’s still completely white!

What a beautiful little baby girl. So teeny tiny she almost doesn’t seem real. I’d say you came home with the best the mall had to offer that day.
bless your heart, looks like she was almost a goner!
love your little angel!!
Iagree!!!!totally!!
This cat is so cute!!! I wish i had one just like it…my cat just had kittens and there all so cute but I dont have one like this one and I wish I did XOXOXO
I LOVE YOU ODESSA MAE AZBILL!!! XOXOXOX
shes really pretty, its very commmon for all whitte cats to be be deaf and blind in one ear/eye but atleast she is safe with you now!
What a cutie! As to the deafness, it’s a genetic trait in white cats. It’s possible her mother was deaf as well and forgot/lost her because she didn’t hear her.
~*Angelic Glo-Fuzz~*
I trhink the deafness is a problem in white cats only if they have blue eyes.
I had a huge white cat with golden yellow eyes that was totally deaf. So it’s not always just the ones with blue eyes that are deaf.
My baby is pure while with green eyes, can hear a can of tuna being opened from the other side of the house!
I have two pure white cats (one with green eyes, one with blue eyes) and both of them hear fine.
Absolutely sweet and adorable. All she need is a bow near one ear and she looks like Hello Kitty
Oh, my, who could abandon such a teeny darling. Thanks so much for rescueing her.
Ina is a very lucky little girl. You and your family are lucky to be a part of each other’s lives.
I just want to cuddle her to pieces with all of her cuteness. To abandon such a creature is so unfair and cruel.
Oh, what a good story! I’m so glad you found her and took care of her. I bet she’s a lot of fun.
Awwwwwwww, so cuuuuuute!!!
Ina is so precious and cute. Such a sweetie. So glad you found her when you did. Give her a hug and a scratch for me. She’s just so adorable!
Hi Renee,
If you are serious about adopting Bo, Brittany the lady who is
fostering him now says she can get him to Arkansas. Please get in touch with her at: Bmtiz92@aim.com
She added a little video clip of him on his page. He is a love bug!

What a sweet heart!! She is an angel from heaven to be sure. I am so glad you found each other.
She is so sweet, you couldn’t help but love her.

What kind of kitty is Ina? I’m not familiar with her adorable features! A precious teeny package!
What a cutie! Thank you for rescuing her!
What a sweeet little white fuzzwuzz. Did her beautiful eyes stay blue?
Teeeny Weeeny FUZZ

I just know you will be rewarded in due time for your compassion and loving care. May God richly bless you !
Your compassion is laudable, and you’re in good company — there is not a star on this board who would have done differently. Swaddle her in love, and come back soon and show us how she’s doing.
SO CUTE
How can you tell if a cat is deaf in one ear?
My Turkish Angora (one blue eye, one green eye and all white fur with pink paw leathers) was deaf on the ‘blue’ side. If you wriggled her sweetie paper behind her left (deaf) ear, where she couldn’t see it to clue her in, she didn’t respond at all. Wriggle by the right and your fingers had to be smart to avoid being eaten! What a treasure she was, and how I miss her even after all these years.
I am just sure that the definition of Ina = Angel…she is beautiful!!
Oh a snowy white kitten, thats where all our white stuff went! lol
CF
EEna, meenah, miney, MINE! (meaning, I’d love to have this kitten!) It is the bottle in the background and Ena’s tinyness that makes this pic too precious. Here’s wishing you many, many years of happy ownership BY this little gal. : )
Ooops. I meant “Ina”.
Very nice kitty!
To cute for words! a rel dollbaby
Awwwww, an itty bitty pretty kitty….sooooo tiny!!! She looks like she needs to grow into those big pretty eyes… I can’t get over the itsy-bitsy cuteness!!!! This is one of those cats that I can’t look at when anyone else is around, lest I dissolve into a puddle of babbling idiocy and destroy my reputation at one fell swoop…
She’s the sweetest little baby! I’m so glad you found her and took her home.
She’ll return the favor tenfold!
Is she odd-eyed? My Victoria has one green eye and one blue.. She can see and hear just fine…
I would like to start but saying that Ina is very cute and has a precious story. I have a homeless kitty near me that is pregnant and I would love any HELP you can give. I am in the Miami area, and all the no-kill shelters I’ve called are full. I am just here for three months a live with a family with a dog that is NOT cat friendly. And people I know that may shelter her are about 1000 miles away. If you have any siggestions please pass them along. Thanks so much!
Dee is a frequent poster here, she’s in Tampa… I hope she sees this and maybe can offer advice or help…
also get in touch with Best Friends http://www.bestfriends.org
they have a network of folks who may be able to help you.. good luck!
Thanks, I contacted a few places on the website that you recommended, so hopefully I will be hearing back from them soon. If that doesn’t work, I am probably going to take her to the local humane society, with the exception that I can keep an eye and her and get her back if she is not adopted in a timely fashion.
OMG What a beautiful little baby! She is the sweetest thing I’ve ever seen! Thanks for sharing, and I’m glad you saved her!
Snowball fuzz! What huge eyes you have (the better to see with)! Thank god you found this little kitty and was willing to nurse it back to health.
I do belive I am looking at an angel
Oh my, she looks so tiny and fragile! Pretty white snow ball with BIG paws and serious (= tired?) eyes.
I am so happy she got a home.
There are far too many homeless kitties out there.
What a sweet tiny baby!!!!! I am so glad you found her. She is so lucky and precious!
How beautiful! And it’s rare that she stayed so white after leaving kittenhood, I’m sure she’s amazing to see.
How on earth did you find her? Did you hear her mewing?
White Marshmellow Fuzz
Hi ALL
Thanks to everyone who put in their 2 cents yesterday about the grooming and alpha kitty status. THey’re just so interesting!
This kitty above is soo cute. ALIEN KITTY Fuzz
Here’s a late two cents! My Hickory, a somewhat aggressive cat and very jealous of my Aspen, who I had first, usually licks Aspen, though Aspen will lick back a little. It usually ends up in a cat fight. I think Hickory wants to be the top cat, but feels jealous that Aspen and I already had a relationship…I have to be very careful to give the girls equal time, as Hickory will get aggressive with not only Aspen but me as well if she feels I’m paying too much attention to Aspen. Hickory also does things like hoarding all the toys by gathering them up and laying on them - she doesn’t like to share
Maybe it has to do with something that happened to her when she was a stray, I’m not sure.
get a third to confuse them.
Ina, what a sweet heart! I agree, she does remind me of Hello Kitty! Cute wittle kitty with her button nose and big rounded precious eyes! Thankgod you found such a blessing!
She is so cute, thank God you found her. I have a white baby too, Nena, but she is completely deaf…she´s an angel too.
What a beautiful picture. You have captured the sweetness and joy of this amazing baby.
Dancing in the sunlight of the Spirit fuzz
oooh, little Ina, such extreme sweetness.
What a cutie!
I can not believe how adorable Ina is!!!!
i want to smoosh ina. She’s so delicious i want to eat her up - yum!
Ina is a sweet little snowball…and so young and cute in this pic. I am so happy she found you and her forever home.
Just one word……AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!
JCL
Now that right there is one cute little kitten!
“Y’all take care, and clean your paws before dinner.”
Sweet little love, she is. I see she has her nou-nou near by, and her little cup for when she graduates. She is lucky to have met you.
What a itty bitty cutie! I’d eat her up, make a sandwich outta her!
Awww………. shes so cute!!I love white cats!!!Shes adorable!
Eena is a truly angleic snowball!
But keep in mind, everyone, that mother cats don’t abandon their young as often as we think. I can’t speak for this kitten absolutely, but many times the mother has met a bad fate.
Poor little stray and feral mommies need the most support.
What a perfectly adorable tiny white beastie! I’m glad she has grown into a large, healthy older kitten.
What a lovely kitty! I’m so glad that you found her and took care of her!
All-white kitties are susceptible to skin cancer if they get much sun exposure, so Ina should probably be an indoor kitty.
In and around Macon, GA when I lived there was a strain of white cats with the slightest round dusting of charcol on the top of their heads. We had one - they were never deaf. (Ina is so cute she’s a three-barf-bagger!)
I am smitten with this kitten!
Such an angel.
If you found her in the dumpster, how do you know why her first mommy left her? Just curious…
Mama kitties don’t abandon their young unless there’s some problem with the baby or unless they meet some awful fate themselves. To answer some other questions, her eyes didn’t stay blue. They’re really odd. They have blue around the outside and orange/ gold flecks towards the middle. Depending on the light they look different all the time. I have been able to determine the deafness in one ear, so I’m assuming that’s why she was left. Also, there were no other kittens around her. I talked to the mall security, and they’d seen a full grown white cat around there for some time, as well as other babies running around. The fact that she matched those other cats but was completely alone before she could even see leads me to determine her mom left her.
EEEEEEEEEeeeeh! So teeny, so sweet!
Perhaps, the seperation occurred due to lack of communication. The kitten couldn’t hear it’s mother leaving. Maybe, if deaf also, the mother didn’t hear the baby she left behind. Ina is beautiful!!!!
Hmmmmmmm……I know some folks with a small boston terrier. The dog is mostly white and deaf. Hmmmmmmm……
too cute!
God Bless you for saving little Ina, she is a real cutie. So precious.
SHe is the cutest little girl ever! She’s so tiny. Thank you for saving her.
Exscuse me while I clean up this dallop of whipped cream that fell onto the floor. Oh it’s not whipped cream at all, though something just as sweet, a little white kitty.
How lucky for you both, she’s sooo sweet. She reminds me of my dear Blanco who crossed the rainbow bridge eight years ago. He had a series of homes (five in all) before finding someone who would let him be a kitten. By the way Blanco was a British Shorthair but dodged the deafness problem inspite of having one blue eye & one gold eye. I’m sure you will find as much joy in your little snowy bundle as I did. May the great spirit bless watch over both of you.
so, so, so, so, ADORABLE!
What a cute little face Ania
What a cute little face Ina has : )
She’s just so adorable and delicate looking in this photo! God bless you for rescuing this precious baby and bless Ina for just being who she is.
Ina is so beautiful! Thank you for rescuing her. You’ll be rewarded many times over.
She looks so delicate and fragile in this picture, but so beautiful! Bless you for loving her and nursing her back to health.

The poor little baby - so glad you came along. She’s pure as an angel!!
So Beautiful
Very CUTE! So glad that you found her when you did!
Love, love, LOVE the pinkness of the little toes and nose and ears and little kitten mouth. Adorable beyond compare. Good on you for taking her in.
She is so lovely, I have made her my wallpaper, and everyone who comes into my office, just has to coo, catperson or not!
Whast a darling little boo she is. I just want to pick her up and feel her whiskers tickle my cheeks!
Ina is such a cute little kitten. I know she will grow up to be a very beautiful kitty.
I am deaf and i would like to taking that kitten is a deaf so
I love kittens and wouldnt mind having a deaf one, even if it was more responsiblity!
What a doll! Glad you found her. She must have been crying or something…. Love the baby kitty bottle in the background of the picture too.
We have Ina’s twin!! He’s Pinot Noir, looks just like Ina. My son rescued him, an orphan, and gave him to me when he was 2.5 weeks old!! He had the same kind of baby bottle, too. Such a love–really snuggly. He is now 7 mos old, still white with “flame-tipped) butterscotch ears and tail–still those blue eyes!!
You are to be admired for the rescue & she is to be loved just because she….IS TOO DARLING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
she is an extraordinary cat
She is very unique looking. I wish they could stay this small.
Hey Ina, you’ve won the best home ever….
I recently met a lady with a white cat. She told me White cats are always deaf. I never knew that. She had also found hers. She was talking it for a walk on a leash! A beautiful cat, just like this one!
What a sweet baby. I’m glad you found her and took her home to a caring place. Bless you!
To straighten confusion about ability to hear in white cats. It is a genetic code that causes this when the fur is white and the eyes are blue. But they have to be dominant white. It goes a bit deeper; there is a difference between a pure white kitty and one that has white ‘covering’ another color. You’ll have to study the genetics a bit to understand this further. And of course, there are always exceptions. Thanks everyone for their support! Please, if you ever see a kitten that is alone and under a few weeks, take it home, love it, and if you can’t keep it, find her a new home! I work with a girl that has traps for the feral adults, we set them out to catch them, get them fixed and some shots, and back they go into the world! I never thought about doing this before I found Ina, and I urge everyone to do what they can to help out strays- cats and dogs alike.
From the cat fanciers web site… (i.e. reliable source)
Q: Are white cats always deaf?
A: No. Some white cats are deaf, and some are not. If a white cat has blue eyes, it is more likely to be deaf than a white cat with gold or green eyes. Deaf cats make perfectly good house pets, although they should not be allowed outside because they can’t hear cars coming.
Pretty, pretty princess kitty! She’s just missing her tiara. I have a long haired white cat…with a little black spot over her right ear. I just love white cats!
ahhhh this kitten is so gorgeous and id love to take her home but i cant cause of allergies at home
You are a very good-hearted person! God will bless you! What a cutie-patootie she is!
