Nutmeg is a foster kitten that we couldn’t bear to part with, so now she’s a part of our family. Her sister is Emmy Lou, and they are great fun!

If anyone animal could look sweet and regal at the same time it is Nutmeg. I can see why you couldn’t give her up.

Hey Susan, Missed you the past couple of weekdays. Hope you are doing well
I am still in alot of pain but I am back to handeling it with humor and grit. It usually doesn’t get me down but this past week from lack of sleep 3 to 4 hours a night and I just “shut down”. I had a wonderful day at church and then to my nephew’s with family. We had a barbeque it is down in the upper 30’s but what the heck.
Thank you for the prayers and concern it makes an old gal feel good.
As an “old” gal, glad to hear you are doing better. Glad church went well and you had a nice time with family. Cold weather makes for great bbq’s! Made ribs on my grill tonight and I am in the 30’s too! You are in my thoughts and prayers. God Bless

Thank you Lynn. My uncle used to grill out all winter in Chicago he finally built a top to the patio so he could even grill in a snow storm. Everything tastes better when grilled over charcoal. My neice uses a gas grill but it was still a treat.
Sorry to hear you were hurting Susan…as a fellow “old gal” I can sympathize. Here’s to your grit and humor and, especially, better days ahead…

No, Evangaline, I am not from the UK. I have lived in Houston, TX for nearly thirty years. There are certainly times when I have wished to be in the UK, or somewhere other than here. I suppose I should add my location to my name….. and have done so….

Sweet little Nutmeg.Yes, I had to stop fostering kittens because I would fall in love w/ them and couldn’t give them away.Especially w/ rescues,after I had gained their trust and they looked up at me with their sweet little eyes I was hooked.

I am glad I am not the only one who couldn’t foster cause of the slight problem of attachment. I used to feel guilty cause I thought I could help instead of being selfish….But I can’t change so I have decided to accept this part of me that wants to be owned by every cat I meet.
Truer words were never spoken! We accepted a cat from neighbors who couldn’t wait to get rid of her and then they stole her from our house before our cat sitter could arrive! We had to take them to court to get her back. Ten years ago this month actually. Now she’s a fat, sassy pewter princess who thinks she owns her daddy’s lap.

I love the name “Nutmeg”. I named a tabby w/similar coloring “Ginger” because she had a small orangey-red blotch on her back.
