Yes–might wanna have another look at that gender! But what an angelic little darling–and what a precious little kitty entry to come back in on after being offline for a month! I have really missed my Daily Kitten fix!
Most all calicos and torties are female…VERY rarely are they males, and males are generally sterile. for some reason male cats just can’t carry the genetics for three colors.
What a sweetie. But, yes, probably a girl. The red and the black fur color genes are carried on the X chromosome so a male cat, with only one X (XY) can only have one of the colors. Male cats who are black and red almost always are either 1) a genetic oddity, like XXY (therefore having 2 Xs for the 2 colors) but usually sterile because of the abnormal pattern or 2) a chimera–a being with the cells from more than one individual. The only male tortie I’ve seen had tortie skin that was genetically XX but his body and organs were male and XY. He would have been fertile because his reproductive organs were the normal XY.

oh great we have bears fans here x.x you know im from indianapolis, and i drive a cab and last year i picked up a group of the chicago bears and they were very rude and didnt tip at all… and the bar they came from said they were rude to them as well. so for many reasons i have to say Go Colts lol

I am very sorry that happened as a long time Chicagoian I apoligize for the boors. Mixing alcohol with testosterone has a very bad effect on some.
But I still hope Da Bears win tomorrow! Either way I hope it is a clean game and no one is injured and it is played with style and grace.
As an almost-lifelong Chicagoan, I apologize for the behavior of those jerks as well. (You shoulda seen the things they did to the fans from New Orleans, if you wanna see bad behavior–it was downright embarrassing.)
Our sports FANS tend to be a bunch of boorish drunks (ever ride an El train after a Cubs game? :::shudder:::) but our TEAMS, on the other hand, are awesomer than the awesomest thing ever, and then some. So again, I say:

He is too cute!!! While I LOVE, just LOVE kittens, there is something to be said for adult cats that don’t jump all over everything and wake me up the the middle of the night!! Happy Birthday to my Charlie, that turned a year old this week. He still wakes me up.
Sweety Petey is 11 years old and he still wakes me up with head butts and sloppy wet kisses all over my face when he decides we have slept enough. Who needs an alarm clock when one has a fuzz butt.
Boo is a cutie, but with her paw on her tummy and the sad look on her face she almost looks like she’s saying, “Mommy I don’t feel so good, can I stay home today?”

Hey Boo! … My favorite movie of all time is To Kill a Mockingbird and the end with Scout seeing Boo Radley for the first time hinding behind the bedroom door - it makes me cry everytime.

When I read all the comments every day from the viewers of these absolutely adorable kittens, I am amazed at the outpouring of love for these precious animals. I know so many folk who don’t like cats…can’t imagine why….and am heartened and encouraged by this show of affection for God’s tiny creations. I love all animals (except snakes), especially kittens and cats. They are the perfect pet….soft, warm, expressive, independent, and capable of making the biggest man feel tender. I have 2 18 year old feline ladies, who are the light of my life. They have always lived indoors, enjoy good health, and are still very playful. They never liked each other very much and I swear they are trying to outlive each other.
Since Huddy’s Mama doesn’t seem to be here today, I guess I’ll just step in . . .c’mere little Boo . . . that’s right . . .(gently smooshes paws and kisses belly before placing into backpack)
That we have in common, I also like lying in bed, sleeping is the best!
But my bed is sure bigger than his, jijiji

Sammy tried to sit on my head the other night. He’s 16 pounds! Needless to say, it woke me up. But I’m thrilled he wanted to be so close to me. haha
