I get the biggest kick out of when cats do that - my one adult cat will still chase her tail. I’ll grab it & hold it for her & she can then lick it!!!! Too cute of a little guy he is!!

I thought my cat was the only one who chased her tail! She is hilarious, too. She is almost 3 and grows more playful every day. It is really something to see her go–she does catch it but doesn’t seem to know what to do with it, once she has it.

That is the number for information at the phone company just as 911 is the emergency number. I forget some of us aren’t from the USA. Sorry.

:::blushes because I’m 36 and I’ve known about emo since ‘95:::

Every time I get to thinking that I’ve got a nice, normal, functional mainstream life going, something like this pops up and reminds me: “you may be 36, but most of the things you know will get you strange looks from REAL 36-year-olds…you know, the responsible, normal ones.” Most people would be proud of this, I suppose, but I just feel…weird. (Thank heavens for kittehs, who look at all humans as equally weird and incomprehensible creatures!!! :) )

Heh. No, I’ve known about emo for a while too. I think it depends on what circles you run in and who you meet. I’d heard 511 too, though not in a while. We usually use TMI or WTMI (way too much information) or WTFTMI (way the f*** too much information).

Mine does too! When she was a kitten it used to scare the crap out of me, because she’d climb up on the shaky bannister, balance with her back feet on the bannister, then reach through the bars with her front paws and chase and chew on her tail. Funny to watch but a little scary to think about if she falls.

I had a snow shoe who would get mad at her tail for giving her away when she was in “hunter mode” It was a hoot! When what she was stalking was tipped off by the thrashing, she would turn around and look at her tail as if it had a mind of its own. Then she would promptly chase it and do a Turk

Turk comes with all that kitty stuff
Teeth and tail and claws — he’s tough!
But he must have been left agog
To be compared to a dog!
He is just a kitty sweet
From kitty ears to kitty feet
He think everything was fine
Until he was called canine!
Turk’s a lovely baby cat
And that is all and that is that.

You never saw such a shocked face in your life. Of course, then she had to pretend she’d done that on purpose, so she started licking her tail very hard.

Turk is adorable. If I didn’t have seven already, I’d snatch him. :-D

Isn’t it hilarious how felines won’t ever admit to clumsiness. Whenever one of mine has a silly little accident, such as falling off the counter or the bed, they always recover and look around to see if anyone saw them. Then they get that “I did that on purpose” look. So funny.

Another great ginger kitten. I am convinced that kittens have tails just for play. They think all tails, whether moving or not, are toys to chase and nibble on.

My Bob, now a 2 year old, has a huge fluffy tail. Whenever I have new rescues kittens in the house they won’t leave poor Bob alone. He is a very sweet boy, but doesn’t take kindly to having all the babies chasing his tail.

Awwww, you have rescue kitties, God Bless ya! Hopefully Bob will teach them some manners soon. lol My oldest Sydney was just a bit over one when kitten Wally came into our lives and it was fun to watch Sydney play mom. I caught her smacking the top of his head often.
Their relationship came to a very abrupt end one day when Wally tried to suckle poor Syd. She has big eyes but they got to be cartoon kitty size and then she smacked him so hard he fell off the couch..Now she tolerates him - just barely.
This is my first time with multiples (3) and it is fun watching them together.

Then when I sit down, he jumps up on my lap and kneads me. When I lay in my bed, he has to lay right under my neck or behind my neck, and kneads me some more! He is so lovey. He usually always is very lovey to me, but since I’ve been sick, he is very clingy. I am so blessed to have his love. Awwww….. He is grey and white and one whisker puff is white and one is grey.
