This is one of our two cats. He doesn’t look like this anymore, but we love him more every day. In this picture he’s around five weeks old.

Good morning Benson and all TDK’ ers. Thank you so much for your warm thoughts, wishes and prayers.
Yes, I meant to say I am thinking about your dear husband too. I noticed it didn’t post before. I’m sure that kitty is so happy to have him back home to snuggle with.
Blessings to all of you!
…quickly sneaks Benson into her little sac for field-trip home to bring some sunshine to dear hubby… Will bring him back in a few.

Hi Tiger! You can keep Benson for the day.Sounds like a wonderful way to bring some sunshine to your dear hubby! And if Huddy’s mama comes along with her silly backpack I will personally chase her way. In any case she has my Wally and she has not given him back yet!

I WANT MY WALLY BACK
Sorry getting carried away here.
It is a beautiful morning here, storm never materialized although very nippy and there is plenty of snow on the ground.
Hope everybody is well
Benson is a real cutie! I agree with Evangeline, Tiger, you can keep Benson for a while! Now, Huddy’s mama, give Evangeline Wally back right now!! You can’t have them all!!! Share!!
Back at work, but the day off was nice. Cold as heck though! Hope everyone else made out ok in the storms.
Got your email, thanks for the tips. Will let you know how I make out.
In the Governor’s mansion FUZZZ!!!
Best Animal Park around FUZZ!!! (For those not from around here, I grew up going to Benson’s Animal Park in Hudson, NH. I drive by the site it was on everyday now and it seems so small compared to when i was young and it seemed HUGE!
He looks like a little dust-bunny! I’d love to sweep that out from under my bed! So cute! You are adorable, Sir Benson!
Oh my goodness! He looks so squishy! Tiger, I have to snuggle him as soon as your hubby is finished with him.
Cat’s are awesome. Check out this story.

Awww, ya beat me to it. I posted it right below yours
It’s a great story. I saw it before the new kitten was posted and have been waiting to share it.
yea, me too
or just read the story in Instinct’s post:)
Great minds right?
Or crazy people
I won’t say which though
There is a fine line between genius and insanity
I love stories like that!
I saw that on my yahoo and couldn’t figure out how to share it. I’m glad there are computer savvy cat lovers out there to do it for me! Sooo, sweet. I bet that dog is going to grow up thinking it can climb on your lap and lay on the back of the sofa!!
My last Rottweiler thought she was a lap dog. She loved cats too and couldn’t understand why they were afraid of her.
I love that!
I too had a Rottweiler (she’s over the Rainbow Bridge now) and she used to give my 17 tuxedo cat Sebastian rides on her back. Sebastian was still a kitten, but Khalua (my dog) never minded dealing with him at all.
She was almost more cat than dog in her behaviour too.
Oh, that is just so precious….
Here’s a story to warm your hearts on this snow filled morning
Cat Addopts Puppy
MERIDEN, Conn. (AP) — Who says cats and dogs don’t get along?
Workers at the Meriden Humane Society are marveling at a short-haired mother cat that has adopted a 6-day-old Rottweiler puppy that was rejected by its mother.
3
The tiny pup, named Charlie by Humane Society volunteers, nurses alongside a jumble of black and gray kittens recently born to Satin, who was taken to the shelter by an owner unable to care for her.
Charlie’s mother was found by the side of the road in Meriden a couple of months ago. She gave birth to two puppies, but one was stillborn. As sometimes happens with a stillborn in the litter, the mother refused to accept Charlie.
Volunteers bottle-fed him every two hours, but the effort was exhausting for them and insufficient for the puppy, volunteer Chris Chorney said.
Research indicated that a suitable substitute could be Satin, who had given birth to four kittens that have quickly warmed to Charlie.
“The kittens scrum up with him and the kittens treat him like one of their own,” Chorney said. “There’s a certain social benefit of small animals being with each other.”
Such relationships are not all that unusual in certain circumstances, said Deirdre Chiaramonte, a veterinarian at the Animal Medical Center, a specialty teaching hospital in New York.
The cozy arrangement between Charlie, Satin and the kittens will likely changes as the pup grows. Full-grown male Rottweilers commonly weigh 100 pounds.
Volunteers are hoping that dog owners will volunteer their puppies to be Charlie’s playmates.
“Dogs need to be with a litter of puppies, to learn to play with other dogs,” Chorney said. “He has to learn to be a well-socialized dog.”
What a wonderful story!!!
OMG! THanks guys for bringing this to our attention. I am sending it to all my friends. But first I have to chill..cute overload I feel a bit dizzy

Very cute story. Hopefully this dog grows up to love cats instead of chasing them. I find Rottweilers to be a very intimidating breed but maybe just this one will be a lovebug because of the cats.
As a one time vet-tech I found Rotties to be single minded, or one track minded, but not all. I have known some (usually the ones bred from Germany) to be more intellegent animals, and since this one is a mix and it is being so well socialized it will be a very good dog I think.
My Rottie was a mix and she was the sweetest, most intelligent dog I’ve ever had. She would occasionally eat the firewood or garden hoses, but she was also so gentle that she could pick up egg shells in her mouth.
She was an odd one. She really liked the deck in the back yard to be perfectly clean. When my husband would have a cigar out there, she would patiently wait for him to finish. Then she would gingerly take the butt in her mouth and push it through the slats so that it wouldn’t clutter up her deck.
She loved all animals except rats. She was always trying to snuggle up with the cats. She thought she was a lap dog too.
He is very cute - looks sooooo innocent - He’s saying “look at me with my pretty eyes”
SHE SINGS:
“I feel pretty, oh so pretty,
I’m a kitty whose pretty and how!
And I pitty, any kitty that isn’t me right now!”
Rosie very good - except that will be running thru my mind all day.
Rosie,
It is just shy of midnight here in New Jersey, and now I won’t be able to sleep. Because I will have “Pretty Kitty” going through my mind.
Yep it will be on my mind too! Such a perfedt pose for a sweet looking kitty! I love the name too!
Wow! Looks like MeezerMama and Instinct are on the same page this morning…literally!
Aren’t we ALL on the same page?
**snork, snork, snork**
Or (for many of us) that would be *snoore, snoore, snoore*
Good Morning to everyone! Hope you all had a lovely Valentines Day!!
Good morning to you Bumblebee! Hope you had a very nice Valentine’s Day as well. I love your name. As a child I had a fascination of watching bumblebees. According to science it shouldn’t be able to fly. That is what fascinates me to this day. Have a great day and stay warm. Lots of snow your way.
Me too Karin. Lifelong puzzle for me too! How does a bee fly?
Probably the same way an F-4 Phantom flies - you give anything enough thrust and it will get airborne
Yes, but only the A-10 Warthog has to worry about bird strikes from the rear!
That’s how the Hog Drivers who used to visit my squadron ages ago described the slowness of their much-maligned but beloved aircraft.
That’s funny
I love the Warthog, it’s the only plane I know that the gun is so big that when they fire it the plane is pushed backwards
I’m scooping up the baby bumblebee
Won’t my mommy be so proud of me?
I’m scooping up the baby bumblebee…..
I remember that song MeezerMama. Learned it at Girl Scout Camp when I was 12. Now it will be stuck in my head all day.
When I was little my family lived on a little farm near Gettysburg. We had a stone driveway with little flowers blooming in the center. Mom told me that when I was two and three years old I would pick up the big bumblebees and rub the fuzzy bee to my cheek. Never got stung. But then I had a very alert guardian angel always watching over me.
How lucky you got to live at such an awesome place. That is SO adorable of you to do that! AWWW…
The difference between God and science and God always wins!
Hello Karin,
Thanks. I was knicknamed Bumblebee back in the 80’s and it just stuck. I have a dear friend and I call her Chickadee. She thinks that is just great.
We love bees and one day watched honey-bees on her sunflowers. It was so cool. Their little bodies were full of pollen. Did you know that bees can now sniff out explosives?? Isn’t that just the coolest thing?? Only took 18 years of research to find this out! My friend Chickadee and I both homeschooled our children so we are very interested in insects and animals, etc.
Good morning Bumblebee. How is your back today? I hope it heals quickly for you. Tiger, I ment to write to you too. I hope Hubby is comfortable this morning. You’ve got my prayers too..even though I’m mostly a lurker.
Sorry, I typed out that huge name as a joke, and now everytime I post, I can’t change it. It automatically resets itself.
I wrote a reply, then it disappeared??
Thank you Mom from NJ for asking and for remembering. My back is slowly getting better, I can tell a difference. It feels great when I get up in the AM, but after I am up for awhile, hurts bad again. It’s a mystery!! But, I see an improvment.
Thanks! You are very sweet!
Hmm, your a lurker too. I have a tendency to lurk as well, though not so much today.
awww soft and snuggly fuzz
Blue-Eyed Benson FUZZ!
What a beautiful little fluff…..
Hello Everyone!!!
Benson looks so soft and cuddly. He fits nicely into the back pack too. I’d love to see what he looks like now
You got the wrong kit, Huddy’s mom since Tiger and Hubby have Benson. Also,
PLEASE GIVE ME BACK MY WALLY
*RELUCTANTLY hands the beautiful Wally back to his mommy*
Bye, Wally! *kisses Wally on the head*
Thank you HM. Hugs her big fat boy and kisses him on the head too! Wally’s fave spot to be kissed. So I forgive you:)
Glad you 2 finally worked this out!! Let’s watch now and see who’s next in HM’s backpack!
I’ve decided to get all of my kitties buddies in Catster and put them in my back pack!! The babies who have gone over the Rainbow Bridge will be in the backpack in spirit!!!!
If your kitty is Huddy’s buddy, you’re gonna miss him/her for a day or two. But I promise to bring them back tomorrow!!
W.H. Kattus and Lady say they are ready for a play date…….maybe I can use the day or two to put my house back in order…but I’ll sure miss the thundering herd down the hallway….LOL
My downstairs neighbor once came upstairs and knocked on my door. I hadn’t been living there long and he asked me “Are you guys having a party up here?”
I was like “You guys? It’s just me and my cats”
I guess he thought people were running around in my apartment, but it was just the cats. They run around like they weigh 100 pounds apiece.
Good morning all!!
What a sweet fuzzbutt!!
Kinda chilly here in Jacksonville FL this AM, but I am soooooooo not complaining!! Where on earth is all that snow coming from?? Bless y’all!
Have a great day!
It was 31 degrees in the hinterlands west of Houston today. They’re predicting near-record lows in the low 20’s tonight.
I need to remember feeling this frozen come July when the heat and humidity are both triple-digit!
Every year when I hear of all the snow and freezing temps, I thank God for the mild weather we mostly have hear in Northern California. Of course we do get a walloping storm every now and then like we had last year on New Year’s Eve.
I meant here. Guess the coffee has kicked in and the fingers cannot keep up with the mind.
It’s 18 degrees here right now. Brrr. I’m thinking that maybe I should migrate like the birds
-19 with the windchill here today… THAT’s a MINUS 19!!!
Yikes CatRancher! I had to go to a family funeral in Michigan in February about five years back and experienced what minus 12 degrees Fahrenheit feels like. Heck to us Californians, anything below 40 is freezing to us so you can imagine that it was kind of painful for us to experience the minus 12.
Ginny,
It is 28 here. It was snowing before 5am this morning. It piled up quick but it finally stopped about 1pm. Now, it has melted completely. Tonite’s low is supposed to be 16. BBRR!
That’s what *I* was telling every this morning. They better enjoy it (the cold weather) because it’ll be gone soon and they’ll be sorry when they start melting in the killer heat.
It’s supposed to be 27 tonight here. I love it.
I have decided that’s why God made hot-flashes for women like me. So I can find periodic joy, barefoot in the freezing snow.
Amen!
My son is stationed at Mayport Naval Station there in Jacksonville. He has been enjoying the warm weather in Florida and rubs it in that he is having to endure the 20 & 30 degree temps in NC.
Opps. I meant NOT having to endure the 20 & 30 degree temps in NC.
Hi, i’m new to posting here, but i’ve been visiting this page daily
I looooove seein the pictures of the kitties..really brightens my day!! Love these guys!!

Hi Elaine, wow, what a beautiful family you have.
Wally just sent you a friend invite
You named your kitty Piwacket??? AWESOME!!! My dad used to refer to the wild scamperings of my first cat (Cujo) as “wacketing”, derived from “Piwacket”. This was many years ago, and both Daddy and Cujo are on the other side of the Bridge, but to this day, that’s the verb I use for frantic feline activity. As in, “Snickers, stop wacketing BadCat’s tail before he bites you on the paw again.”
Welcome Amanda! I posted an apology to all. Under Tabasco. I hope you all will read it and forgive me. I *will* just jump in and comment.
I love lots of then names for your kitties. So inventive and imaginative! Where ever do you all come up with them? LOL
By the way we are pretty warm here in CO . Hear we are to get lots of wind though. YUCK!
Im new too this site love to read and comment each day to see all the kitties and the peoples comments to each other
Ditto the welcome.
Welcome Amanda! Glad you posted. Nice to have you here. I love this site. The kitties do brighten our days!
Enjoy!!
Welcome Amanda! This website is where all the fun, joy, laughter and few tears (when Dee or someone posts a cute sentimental story). I find this place helps me get through the day sometimes when I am having a rough day at work.
Welcome to the group, Amanda!
Hello, Amanda!
Welcome Amanda. Let us know where you are from and how many kitties you have!
Hi Amanda……welcome, you’ve joined a very, very nice group of kitties…..and their people….LOL
Hi Amanda, welcome aboard!
What a darling little powderpuff of a kitten. I am definetly in love just don’t tell Petey. I should be the one to be jealous he has spent most of the lap time on my friend’s lap. When we came home yesterday he turned his back on us as he was ticked off being left home for hours.
My wife’s cat does that. She’s part Siamese (the cat - not the wife :D) and if we go out after work and come home late her cat will yell at both of us and then storm off and pout for the rest of the evening
I think that’s just a Meezer thing. Mine yell at me when I get home from work. If I work late, Emerson will literally climb me to get up on my shoulder.
Oh Instinct I had to read your comment about your cat not wife we both cracked up.
Yea, I live for stupid humor.
Nothing like some Monty Python humor, eh Instinct?

Have you seen Weird Al’s movie “UHF” Karin? Now THAT is some low flying humor
No..haven’t seen UHF. I will see if I can rent it from Blockbuster. I like Wierd Al’s stuff. I am told I have a warped sense of humor.
Karin in SF, CA
Have you seen Weird Al’s “White and Nerdy” video?
That was interesting.
Hi Instinct,
Are you sure about your wife not being part cat? lol
I think we all have a bit of cat in us!
Egad! Your right!
Benson is so cute and fluffy!! Little nose needs a smooch!! Love all that wild grey fuzz and these blue eyes.
My cat Mittens invites everyone to her Catster page at
http://www.catster.com/cats/477983
Thank you Evangeline and Athena for encouraging us to join. Thank you Kittenmaster for letting us share.
Have a great day TDKers!
Wow! Mittens is beautiful! So sad to have so many homes in such a short few weeks. Bless you for taking her and giving her a forever home! Awwww…. What a swwetie!
What a sweet, creamsicle kitty!
Cute name for your kitty. So glad you were willing to take this poor kitty in. Give Mittens a cuddle and smooch from me. I left a treat.
Mittens is a doll! Thanks for the peek!
Mittens is a beautiful girl. W.H. and Lady just invited her to be friends….
