Mau and Lau
Location: Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, USA
Mau and Lau are two orphaned babies from my mother’s farm. We have tried to adopt the babies out, but it is so hard when you get attached to them. They were just neutered last month. They may or may not be brother and sister, but they love each other for sure!

So cute - they look all warm & cuddly!
What little dolls Good morning to all and love those little ones to death
Wow, not that is really cute. I’m almost speechless

Instinct — I tried to find your fuzzbutts on Catster, but could not. Can you give me your page ID or link, again, please?
Here’s the link to Roo’s page. http://www.catster.com/cats/481252
And of course, you can look at the other two from there
Hi Instinct - your kitties are adorable! I’ve got to get mine on Catster but finding the time is hard.
Thank you. Quazo is the biggest cuddler of them all and Misto (the smallest one) is the biggest trouble maker.
She went into Roo’s bathroom one time during the night to cause trouble and run, but when it was time for her to run (because Roo doesn’t like to leave the bathroom) instead of running out the door she ran behind the door and Roo trapped her there.
My wife and I were awoke to her crying for help and Roo was just sitting there looking at her like “I COULD kill you now….”
your cats are beautiful and that bathroom story is hilarious.
One of these days I’ll get my cats up on catster
Thanks Instinct — they’re primo fuzzbutts. They look like Mickie and Minnie (black 3/4 persians) that used to live with me many years ago. My caster, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy sent Roo and Crew a friend request…
Gorgeous furry buddies you have Instinct! I really love your story and the very happy ending. I especially love the part about Quazo liking the bath so much that she submerged herself. I would have loved to have seen that! I haven’t had to bathe Sylvester yet since he is an indoor kitty but my husband seems to think Sylvester should have a bath anyways. I don’t think Sylvester would like having a bath.
Your kitties are gorgeous! They are very lucky they found you.
I forgot, I sent you an invite to be friends with Sylvester. Purrr.
Instinct, what beautiful fluffy kitties you have. The better to live happily with. Bless you for saving them. I know they have repaid your kindness many times over with their love and catness.
Beautiful Kitties Instinct.
I sent them a friend request.
Oooooooo–pretty kitties, Instinct! Perfect companions for grad students.
Instinct they are so beautiful. My cat Lucky weigh about 17lbs and looks like your two black cats Quazo and Misto they are beautiful and so is the other cat don’t want to leave any kitty out. I know your wife and you enjoy there company. Enjoy them for as long as you can
I worry mine may have used up most of his 9 lives. lol
Instinct–I must admit that Roo looks like a little snot. But I LOVE snotty cats! She is gorgeous! And I thought you had 4 cats??
We do Dee. I just haven’t finished putting up Wicket.
Been trying to get grad school stuff finshed by the weeks end so that I can have it off by Saturday so Wicket will be done this weekend
It was worth saying twice.
Good Morning All,
How adorable of the dynamic duo to snuggle together.
Oh! They look so peaceful together, I would keep them
Beautiful babies in silver and gold. Lots of kisses to both of them.
awwww what sweet babies
Oh my goodness. That’s like the sunrise through a storm cloud. I had a pair that looked like this. Their names were Tigris and Euphrates. Euphrates was trouble and her brother did everything she wanted him to do.
Cool names Meezer Mama! Guess you are into the river names. Now if I can only remember where those rivers are. I want to say somewhere in Greece or Turkey.
The Tigris flows thru Bahgdad I remember from the news that a couple of soldiers drowned in there.
The Euphrates also flows through Iraq. They are the boundaries for the tip of the “Fertile Crescent” (remember World History class?). They are also the only two boundaries for the Garden of Eden as described in the Bible that still exist.
that’s exactly right Ginny!
When Euphrates got in trouble (which was often) she would freeze and then go limp. First time she did it, we were scared. I gently picked her up and she peeked out at me with one eye and I knew it was a game to her. Each time after that I could bring her out of the “faint” by laying my hand on her side. She would just continue to play dead if my husband tried it though.
MeezerMama,
Hi, That is so cute that your Euphrates was playing “possum”. You asked me the other day, how the weather was here. It has been nice. Monday it was 68, so I went outside for 3 hrs. and sat with my kitties. Tuesday it got up to 77! It is supposed to be 72 today. I’m ready for a bit of a warm up.
MeezerMama that is the funniest thing I have heard in a long time. I thought our two were funny but that has ours beat by a long shot….
These two babes are so precious I am ready to get a backpack of my own!
She was quite the little brat. Only cat I ever knew that did that. Cracked me up so much that I couldn’t stay mad at her. So I guess her scheme worked.
That is so funny, MeezerMama! My late Juliet was so defiant–I tried to get her off of countertops, etc by squirting her with the water bottle. Never worked! She would sit firmly planted on the countertop with her eyes SCRUNCHED up as tight as she could and not move an inch! My friends cracked up at this.
Aaaawwww….sweet little babies!
Well-my street kitty has come home. He was missing for almost 3 days. I believe that he may have been locked in my neighbors garage. The weather here in Syracuse, Ny has been so nasty-I was extra worried. Thought he may have been plowed along with the snow. Oh well-all is good.
i am so happy for you street kitty or not they find a place in your heart
This is the first good thing today.
hurray i’m so glad he is home, I have a “barn cat” that is 13 years old i have tried to get her to come in in the winter but she wont have any part of it. when i have bribed her in the house after 2 seconds she is climbing the walls. and i know when she isnt there when i do chores i always worry. but i to have fixed a heat lamp and place for her to keep warm.
It’s like the saying goes: You can take the man out of Texas, but you can’t take Texas out of the man.
The same goes for cats
Hi Chris I am also very happy for you

Adorable babies. Love the way their tails are in the same pose.
Hope you keep them both. It is so lovely to watch 2 kitties when they love each other.
Wishing you all a happy day. It is beautiful sunny in Montreal
Chris-That is wonderful news! Glad he is home. Lots of treats go to him!
That’s great news!
YEAH! That is good news!
Yea Yea Yea. Prayers were answered. Give him extra treats from all of his TDK friends
Oh, what wonderful news!!! You just made my day!!
I am so relieved! I was going to ask you about that today. Lots of warm milk for that baby!
Wow! You must have been really worried - I know I would have been. I’m so glad your baby made it home. Yay!
Yipppeeeee!!! That’s awsome news, Chris!
My sister also has a street kitty, whose moniker is Queenie. She’s a black kitty and so very sweet. Her visits used to be intermittent until sis and Mom (who I mentioned before doesn’t cotton to cats) began feeding her on a regular basis. Now, my sister taking an interest little Queenie’s welfare I can understand — but Mom?!?!?!?! I’m still trying to figure that out ** puzzled look on face **
Many purrs to you.
My grandparents have a cat like that. My grandfather is a prickly old man and never took kindly to cats after one of my mom’s (who he especially loved) passed on. Well, he started feeding this cat that was one of their neighbour’s, and soon he named her and then started letting her in… etc. The neighbour said they could have her, I guess they had taken her in, but she didn’t shine to their other cat. My grandmother said the other day that, since it was cold, my grandpa let “Missy” sleep under the bed in their room!! ; )
Oh I am so glad for you! What a relief to have your baby safe. Lots of cuddles and kisses to this little stray.
Such great news, Chris! So glad for you and the kitty…
Just like my Tabs–came back when he was ready, and none the worse for wear. God loves his “free range kitties,” doesn’t He?
I am so glad you kitty is home. I was worrying right along with you. The 3 days my Annie was gone is still fresh in my mind. I am so happy for you - big smile!
Thank God he’s back! That’s aterrible feeling not knowing where a kitty buddy is.
Great! Such happy news! Wherever she was, she came back to you because she loves you!
Wow - 2 snuggling kitties are just too cute! Enjoy these beautiful babies.
Good Morning everyone!
look at his little feet! omg!!
so sweet even my lucky is checkin them out
Chris - I’m so happy for you! A lost kitty is an awful feeling; I know it well. Glad for the happy ending.
into my pack they go lol beat hm today
Noooooooo!!!
Puts Kathy AND the daily kittens into the semi and drives away.
muwahahahahahah
What a great evil laugh, H.M.! It’s very Simon LaGree - I can almost envision you twirling your mustaschios!
If she has the mustachio then should we call her “EL Guapo”??
Technically, it’s “La Guapa.” but I think I’d just call her “traviesa”!
Que?
Ginny? You’re calling me a ‘crossbeam?’ I know there’s another meaning, but when I was in construction I heard that word a LOT. LOL
No, in my husband’s part of Mexico, a “travieso(a)” is an imp or a troublemaker. For example, the name of the comic strip “Dennis the Menace” is translated to “Daniel el Travieso.”
Got it. My mom always called us ‘amenazas ‘ when we were being impish or troublesome.
you guys crack me up those kits are soo cute .
Huddy’s Mama strikes again!!!!!!!!
Can hardly blame you tho’ — they really are irresistable.
Aren’t they precious? Almost makes me want to go out and get another baby. But no. *promises herself no more trips to Petfinder*
HD, hope you see this. You don’t have to “go” anywhere.
Lots of kits needs moms on catster.Even Bo’s fate is still uncertain
I just can’t get another cat. Three is enough. It’s not really enough, but 3 is all I have room for/can afford.
Poor Bo, I thought he had a forever home.
A double treat of tropical delights.
Have a great day TDKers!
What darling babies! They’re even more darling when they’re sleeping. I want to wuzzle a couple of fuzzy tummies with noisy kitty kisses!
Oh my gosh these two are puuurrrrrecious!!!!
BTW….thanks to all who mentioned Catster….I am now hooked on that site as well and all my “kids” have their own page. What fun!
Could you post their page numbers? I love to see pictures of the kitties that I read about everyday! My babies also like to invite them to be friends when I’m not looking.

Mau, Lau, meow, WOW!
Sweet snuggle fuzz!!!!!!! I want to join in the snuggle!
Good morning everyone!!
Glad to hear a lost fuzzbutt has been found. Great news!
I just want to curl up with these 2 little fuzzers. Awwwwww! Sometimes I wish they stayed that tiny longer…….they grow so fast!
VERY BEAUTIFUL!!!!! Sweet how they love each other so much. AWwwwwww……..
Such sweet babies. I want to tickle Mau’s fat belly. I haven’t seen Huddy’s mama lately. HM are you out there?
BTW has anyone tried the new pounce catnip flavored treats? My kits go nuts for them!
I will be on the lookout for the pounce catnip treats!
I “marinate” my kitty toys in a big jar of loose catnip, when the boys see me with that jar, they go drooling crazy!! Such entertainment to watch them with a “freshly marinated” toy!
I live in a ruaral area and we have lots of wild catnip or catmint? not sure what it is but mine go nuts over it i just take the toys out and rub them on the fresh stuff and the are “crazy” for the rest of the day…….lol
Ditto here! Nothing better for those cats than a fresh toy covered in catnip. Hope all is well with you and your kits. This has been a crazy winter for ice!!
I give my girlies straight catnip to eat. At Petsmart you can buy the unopened flower buds on stalks - it’s said to be the most potent form you can give your kitties - and they are very laid back drooling fur bags afterwards.
:0
Do they have a Kitty Catnip rehab?? Mine are addicts!! They haven’t shaved anything or gotten any tattoos, so I guess they’ve got their addiction under control!! OUCH!! I’m sorry, I just had to go there……..
I buy a small catnip plant at Petco in my area. I pick off the leaves and give them to my cat Sylvester. When he sees me get the plant down, he starts to meow like crazy. Nothing like a stoned kitty. He basically goes into hyper drive and has the “kitty zoomies”.
I do that too! Last summer when a friend and her children were visiting the toddler found the container of catnip and mice and dumped them all over the floor. Emma wallowed in the pile and huffed catnip until she started sneezing uncontrollably. She lay on top of the biggest pile so Gracie and Thierry couldn’t have any. Even though I got it all scaped/vacuumed up she wallowed the spot on the carpet for days!
Nothing like waking up to a drool covered toy right next to you in the bed!! I’ve been awakened by toys hitting me in the face too, my baby, Biscuit “pitches” his toys! He’s such a nut and a joy to watch when he plays!! Lord only knows what I’d do without my furry angels!!
LOL
I was napping on th couch the other day and Ferrule bonked me in the head with his sock that we use to play fetch. I posted a video of that a while back. He was even so thoughtful as to throughly wash the sock in his water bowl before bonking my sleeping head with it. Ah wet sock on the forehead, great way to wake up from an afternoon nap. I oblige him with a game of fetch though.
LOL!
When I get home from work, the water dispenser has couple mice and pompoms floating around and the dry food dispenser has the infamous raccoon tail looking toy. My 16 year old tuxedo, just looks at me with discouragement in his eyes, asking me “and we have the other 2 around because???” Never a dull moment and I wouldn’t trade it for nothing!!!
I also have a tuxedo who will be 15 in April. He also does not understand why he can’t be an only cat. I had to laugh about the wet sock on the forehead. The only thing dropped in our bed are dead mice! I think I’d prefer the wet sock.
lol I never had a cat put toys in the food and water dishes until my daughters cat Evan started doing it now he has my “boys” tiger cat and rocky doing
I have a tuxedo also and every time he is a brat I threaten to get another kitty. He is a year and half old. He likes to leave his squishy balls in his waterbowl. Sylvester also loves to play fetch and will bring you the ball and headbonk you till you pick it up to throw it. He then tears after the ball and brings it back. He is alot of fun.
My tuxido, dutchess, was fetching a small pink plastic slinky (she found it and brought it too me). When she was bringing it back it was distended like an elephants trunk and bouncing with her steps. I was on the floor laughing out loud.
LOL…I thought my goofballs were the only ones who put their toys in the food bowl!! The (now dearly departed) stuffed rhino used to end up there often…poor kits are inconsolable at the loss of their favorite toy, but it was more hole than fabric…
