Roxy will sit in anything. Here she is in my breakfast bowl. Adorable, I think! I love my baby! If only they stayed just like this forever!

I’m first
too cute
Neener, neener, neener!
“Breakfast of Champions” FUZZ!
“Better Late than Never” FUZZ!
You’re just jealous
busted.
I wish my cat would do that so i could have a pic like that
God bless
This reminds me of the line in the ‘Police Academy II’ movie…. “Cat!?” “I said ‘litter box’ not ‘cereal bowl’.” LOL….
But still in all this cat is a sweety. Too bad they don’t stay little
forever. They are always cute no matter how old they get, but
I agree when they are babies is the best.
I love your cat
but not as much as mine!
I have started to think of the first post of the day, to be more like the first POUNCE of the day!
AWWW so very sweet!
Sugar bowl FuZzZzZz!!!
my babies are now on catster
Dixie is # 489169
Duchess is # 489172
Cool, I’ll take a look at them tonight when I’m home
An absolutely delicious bowl of fuzz.
Good morning to everyone…kittenmaster, I was about to hit the panic button! Need my daily fix
Good morning, TDKers! Can you all believe it’s already March? What a way to kick off a new month. . .a real beauty. Isn’t it amazing what they will find to sleep in?
Breakfast of Champions fuzz. Hee! SO cute.
Hey, cat question. Are Peeps safe for cats in small quantities? My Clio keeps finding my box of Peeps and trying to alternately open them or sit on them. I’d like to satisfy her curiosity (and get pictures) but am unsure if this is a good idea. I know chocolate is bad news, and she gets none of that.
Hey, that’s MY line!!!
Heehee. We wrote at the same time, you just hit enter faster. How about:
I don’t do mornings FUZZ
wat line?
The white line, oh ya, they don’t pull you over for peeps do they. duh
First what are Peeps, forgive my Canadian ignorance
To John in SC please be careful with the earplugs your kitty could end up kitty ER
Marshmallow chicks. Think sugar-coated marshmallows, they started as Easter candy but you can now get them practically all year round.
thanks Andi, I would think for one photo op it would be OK but I try not to give mine anything but kitty food
I generally do the same, but every now and then it’s worthwhile to satisfy a cat’s curiosity. Most of the time they’ll turn their nose up at it, wander off and that is that.
Of course, then there’s my little spazball Sheba who earned the nickname Rocket for a reason. She likes black coffee. Strong black coffee. She’ll sit there and drink it out of the mug.
My cat like to eat plastic bags. *sigh*
One of mine likes to chew on tape….geeeez!
Mine likes to play with pens. She will surpirse attack your pen while you are writing with it if you don’t pay her any attention! A bad thing for my kids when they are doing schoolwork!
The late, not so great Moppet (Miss Dumber-Than-Rocks a.k.a. “The Feminist Cat” because she would have NOTHING to do with any man) some years back ingested a sticky hand. For those of you without pre-teen boys, a sticky hand is made of some stretchy, quasi-gelatinous substance, is roughly shaped like a hand, and will stick to a wall if thrown against it.
Anyway, we had not even missed the toy until Moppet tried to pass it, without success. Even worse was the fact that, at the time the discovery was made, Grandpa was baby-sitting the kids. Poor Grandpa had to shut himself up in the bathroom with the cat and gently pull the toy from Moppet’s “back door.” The kids still talk about the noises that eminated from the bathroom that afternoon–some things are best left to the imagination!
Needless to say, sticky hands have since been banned from our household. The youngest has just about outgrown that stage now.
Ginny, what a funny story! The visual is too much? How did Moppet manage to eat one of those to begin with. Aren’t they rather large for a cat to swallow? Thanks for the laugh!
OH NO! on the Moppet story. Poor cat!
I had one eat a necklace once. Needless to say, after that all my necklaces got locked up!
My male cat Tom loves Ice Cream (tries to lick the wrappers but that was a no-no), he also loves to lick out the platstic bowls which have had rice pudding in, in fact I think anything that has had milk in it (he sniffs the teacup but decided it’s not for him!) I think generally he likes to investigate everything!! He’s a real Nosspot.
Lynn,
How Moppet managed to eat that $#%$#@% thing is anyone’s guess–it hadn’t even been missed until it began coming out!
My first cat, Whiskers loved to lick the Haagen Daz ice cream bars. As soon as she heard the sound of me opening one, she would come running, would wait till I ate all the chocolate coating and licked a little of the ice cream and then I would let her lick some from the bar. She loved them because they are so high in cream content. She also like butter and the whipped cream.
Now on the other hand Sylvester will have nothing to do with human food other than some types of crackers, croissants, butter or whip cream.
Does the ‘no men’ rule apply to feminist *cats* only? Because I’m a feminist and I have a boyfriend, and if I’m breaking the rules I’d like to know now
It’s O.K., Abby–rules were made to be broken
My Desdemona likes to like the inside of my coffee cup, once I’ve drunk the coffee. I think she likes the half and half dregs that cling to the side-
I meant “lick” the inside of my coffee cup-
My cat Thomas once ate the “sponge” from the bottom of a package of chicken-even th plastic part !! That was a frantic call to the vet. Everything came out O.K. pardon the pun. He also loves ice cream. Chaos on the other hand loves anything salty and crunchy-potatoe chips, saltine crackers, cheetos etc. My 18 year old son taught her to eat that stuff.
My Hudson’s favorite toys are pony tail holders. He will play with them for long periods of time and I can’t think how many are currently lurking under our refrigerator and other furniture.
He loves them so much if I have a ponytail in my hair and sit on the couch he will climb to the back of the couch so he can pull the holder right off my hair. He’ll do the same at night if I’m in bed with one in.
BUT, they have to be the right kind of ponytail holders. I prefer rather fat fabric ones to the skinny elastic bands. So does he. If his efforts result in one of those skinny ones, he’ll walk off in a huff.
The only toy Taffy would play with was a pink sponge curler. That little fool would flip it up in the air then hide it under the coffee table to discover it later and tame it all over again. He would also get on the back of my chair when I was setting my hair and try and steal them right out of my hair. My first cat loved playing with them too and cubba bubba Domino would just watch.
I think a little taste won’t hurt anything. My Juliette loves a couple of tiny bites from the inside of a glazed donut. My Annie likes a few sips of that Starbucks vanilla coffee in the bottle. My Socks likes the inside of a bisquit and my Romeo likes potato chips. My Lil Hunney liked boiled chicken breast and it had to be the breast. Juliette also likes chicken soup from La Baguettes with tiny bites of the soft part of a baguette. That’s a treat she doesn’t get often.
My cat Polar Bear has always had a strange fondness for licking the Ivory soap bar, but only after it had been used and was wet. Needless to say we ended up getting liquid soap for the bathroom!
Good Morning everyone - here’s to a low stress day! To get you started with a giggle (and answer your question), for your consideration: http://www.peepresearch.org
Bahahaha! Some people are truly bored. That’s cute.
Thanks a lot. There went 2 hours….LOL
Heck, peeps aren’t safe for humans in small quanitites
Yup, so to be absolutely careful you have to eat the whole box.
Icky! Who would want to? I can’t even eat one!
They are only really good if they have been left out overnight to get stale. Not sure why but they taste better that way. My old college roommate turned me on to that one. She would say the peeps have to breathe like wine!
Ew. I can’t stand them that way.
Oh well, I suppose Peeps are one of those individualized things.
Well, I guess they couldn’t taste worse that way….
must be a VERY individualized thing
Oh no! Peeps have to be frozen to have that EXTRA chewy texture. It’s an acquired taste but it does seem to run in the family…..unfortunately.
Hmmmm Frozen peeps. Ment Note: Must freeze the peeps.
I love peeps stale too! Very chewy then. I also freeze marshmallow items, especially three musketerrs. SO awesome!!
As my roommate knows, it is dangerous to mention Peeps in my vicinity. I have some VERY strong opinions about which are the REAL peeps–yellow or pink, chick or bunny-shaped only!! None of this baby-blue, lime-green, strawberry-flavored heart-shaped stuff. Those are POSERS, not Peeps.
However, within those certain narrow boundaries, I adore Peeps. My mom always picks me up a pack for Easter–a throwback to my childhood.
I must be an odd ball okay I heard you all agreeing - I hate anything marshmellow also cotton candy. I was the only girl scout in my troup that wouldn’t eat smores.
My wife refuses to eat any smore that is not made over a campfire - she says that any other kind is a form of sacrilege.
I don’t like marshmallows either. Ditto the cotton candy. I’m an odd eater anyway, but those two things I definitely do without.
I don’t eat seafood either.
You don’t eat seafood and you own cats? What is a nice shrimp day without the hordes hounding you for a bite?
My CATS don’t like it either. I guess they just aren’t used to it. I can open a can of tuna and they don’t care.
If I open a can of refried beans though - they go crazy - LOL. Go figure.
I’m one of those meat and potatoes people. Finely cooked cows and pigs are my friends - lol.
You don’t like marshmallows OR seafood? Heck, I make s’mores with peeps sometimes. Why yes, I do have a sick sense of humor, next question.
Another fun activity with peeps is to take two peeps, put a toothpick in each one facing forward, and put them both in the microwave. Turn the microwave on HIGH. They’ll joust, and the loser will explode. (Cleaning up after this activity is a bit of a mess.)
I agree about the peeps to me they are too sweet and this coming from a girl who can eat cake icing right out of the container but I LOVE cotton candy. And I agree with Huddy’s Mama, I don’t eat fish either. I also don’t eat chicken (but I eat Turkey), bar-b-que (even though I have been born and bred in Texas), any type of seafood ewwwwwwww.
My husband says that I am not a true Texan because I refused to eat bar-b-que and fish.
To each his own right!!
I’ve done that
Tracie:
I’ll eat chicken but not turkey - lol. I love barbecue, but it’s gotta be good barbecue. Some people think if they boil some meat, smoke it for an hour and drown it in (disgustingly sweet) sauce that they can call it barbecue - not true not true.
It’s O.K. Tracie–I like my chili with beans, and I’m a Texan. Beanless chili is for hot dogs!
For the non-Texan: We have the reputation for believing that putting beans in chili is sacreligeous and grounds for excommunication. Other than that, what you put in chili is no big deal.
Ginny, I have to have beans in my chili. But I also put picante sauce and shredded cheese on my pinto beans.
Hi, several of my kitties love marshmellows and I’ll give them a minimarshmellow or 2(then hide the bag b/c they’ll raid it). But I don’t think I’d let a kitty eat any of a peep, it’s probably too sweet.
Also regarding Peeps,I’m ashamed to say I was so bored I put some in the microwave and they just sweeellll and then POP. :D:
I was really bored.
I thought I was the only person who blew up stuff in the microwave. Last week it was hotdogs. This week? Who knows.
But if you microwave a cockroach, they just walk away. Pretty creepy.
I’ve blown up a few peeps, it’s really funny
Heh! No, I do too. Try holding a peep joust with your kids.
CD in a microwave is pretty funny too. Just do it when you are ready to get rid of the microwave in question
Okay, am starting to wonder about you folks. Microwaving peeps and cockroaches for fun. Oh boy.

Cockroaches also survive freezing. They are also believed to be able to survive a nuclear attack.
Maybe Franz Kafka was on to something.
So at the end of it all we will have cockroaches eating peeps and drinking Mountain Dew
Wow thank God I have never been that bored!
If you put the cockroach in a bowl of water and then nuke it you can kill it. It takes a few minutes.
if you take baking power and sugar, mix it 2 to 1, and place small mounds in the back of drawers, cabinets, behind the fridge, etc. The cockroaches walk through it, get it on their legs, and when they “clean” themselves, they ingest it, and then explode, because they can’t belch!
T
Has anyone ever tried the recipe for blowing up ants?
1 tbsp baker’s yeast, 2 tbsp. sugar in 1 pint of water.
I’ve always wanted to try it, for getting rid of ants but I always forget to buy some yeast. Plus, I’d be afraid to put it outside for my cats might eat it. Yeast and cats don’t mix! I seen this on one of those natural remedies show for alternatives to pesticide.
And a fiesta in a bowl!
Ha! I thought that was Fiestware!
What a darling baby. Wanna kiss that forehead and snuggle.
If that is Fiesta ware, everyone should know it has low level radioactiity and should not be used for food.
Only if it’s the original 1930s stuff, MerD. They don’t use uranium in the glaze of the modern version.
No need for the microwave.
our cat lives for ear plugs. When we moved our furniture last weekend, I found about 30 of them under the sofa!
Mine live for twist-ties. I find them everywhere, which is some trick because I am so careful to either throw them away or store them in a sealed box. The other four humans who share my house, however, are not always so careful.
Emerson lives for twist ties and rubber bands. Ferrule likes anything that he can throw
Hey, MeezerMama, Do you have a Thoreau to go with your Emerson?
Same for my cat too, Ginny. He loves to play with twisties. He also likes rubber bands but he will eat them so I don’t let him play with them. He also likes eat the the little fleece pills that come off when you wear a new pair of sweats. I try to make sure I pick them all up but he sometimes gets to one before I can get it. Silly cat.
My Romeo likes plastic bags. I have to cut the handles on them in case I accidently leave one where he can get it. He puts his front end in the bag and uses his back feet to push himself around the kitchen. He is such a stitch. I only let him do this with supervision of course. Juliette likes those really big twisties. Annie and Socks like the laser light.
PANIC OVER!! I THOUGHT THE KITTENMASTER FORGOT US!!Adorable fuzzbutt today
Watch out Tony!! (the Tiger) Lovely little fuzz….
AWWWWW- that pretty much sums it up.
OK, someone beat me to Breakfast of Champions. How about:
I don’t do mornings FUZZ
Some cats will just milk it for all its worth!
*eeewwwww* I think I just snorted my tea!
hey there fondahona
just looked at your kits. bosley is a cutie pie and wow what amazing markings on bailey- dont think ive evet seen a cat like him
Thank you, thank you, thank you! I am certainly a very proud momma. I teach sp. ed. and I like to say that Bosley is my sp. ed. kitty and Bailey is my G.T. cat (lingo for Gifted and Talented!). She is a sweetie pie, too. She loves to lick and give kisses all the time.
FondaHonda, I will have to go check out your furry buddies later. I like your pet names for them. Very cute! I love the feel of a kitty’s tongue when lick you. For some reason, my cat Sylvester loves to lick my nose. Go figure.
Very punny, FondaHonda!
A high-fibre diet is very good for the digestive system.
lol lol lol
She looks very comfy. I wonder if she will still try it when she is too big.
Snap Crackle Pop Fuzz!
Most likely. I have a kitty that used to sleep in a bowl–even when she got too big for it, she would try desperately to stuff herself in! She now sleeps in a colander.
She’s still “straining,” huh?
Good one Ginny!!!! har har har
Very funny Ginny!
Lol!
There is a shop in Portsmouth that had an enormous cat who would hang out in the shop and sleep in a basket on the counter. He overflowed like you wouldn’t believe, but that is where he wanted to sleep.
i love this picture. That is so cute. Little curled up kitty.
I have a Tuxedo cat named Puddin, who weighs about 20 lbs. She likes to sleep in a 8 inch flower pot. I have a flower pot wedged in a shrub out in my yard. I looked out one afternoon and there she was all curled up in the pot! What a sight! I said, you have your very own treehouse. Treehouse FUZZ!
All my cats love to sleep in it. I caught two of my cats, in it together, last summer. I keep aiming to get a picture of them sleeping in the flower pot.
OK, TDKer’s - from the “the shoe’s on the other foot” section of the news…
**Madonna Tells 10-Year-Old Daughter Lourdes to Wear Less Sexy Clothes**
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,255365,00.html
For a second I thought I missed a month and this was an April fool’s joke..
Would I do that to you???
wait….. maybe you shouldn’t answer that.
I’ve often wondered what exactly she would tell her kids when one of their friend inevitably hauls out that coffee table book on S&M she did several years back.
I had heard about Madonna. She told Lourdes to wear a belt with her low rise pants so that she won’t have to look at her “butt crack” (sorry for the crass words). I am sure Madonna has already sat down with her to talk about mommy’s past behavior. Whole situation is an oxymoron.
I wear low-rise jeans, and I just cannot imagine having your buttcrack out being COMFORTABLE.
That and when they wear a thong and the straps show oh yuck. I equate a thong with dental floss for the butt.
Roxy~~ You’re a doll in what looks to be Fiestaware! I girl after my own heart!
To my fellow TDKers~ A request for your thoughts and prayers… My mother-in-law (and fellow cat lovers) is having brain surgery tomorrow. We’re heading to Kansas City hoping for the best…. I don’t post often but every positive thought helps at times like this! Thanks in advance guys!
