This reminds me of the line in the ‘Police Academy II’ movie…. “Cat!?” “I said ‘litter box’ not ‘cereal bowl’.” LOL….

But still in all this cat is a sweety. Too bad they don’t stay little
forever. They are always cute no matter how old they get, but
I agree when they are babies is the best.

Breakfast of Champions fuzz. Hee! SO cute.

Hey, cat question. Are Peeps safe for cats in small quantities? My Clio keeps finding my box of Peeps and trying to alternately open them or sit on them. I’d like to satisfy her curiosity (and get pictures) but am unsure if this is a good idea. I know chocolate is bad news, and she gets none of that.

I generally do the same, but every now and then it’s worthwhile to satisfy a cat’s curiosity. Most of the time they’ll turn their nose up at it, wander off and that is that.

Of course, then there’s my little spazball Sheba who earned the nickname Rocket for a reason. She likes black coffee. Strong black coffee. She’ll sit there and drink it out of the mug.

The late, not so great Moppet (Miss Dumber-Than-Rocks a.k.a. “The Feminist Cat” because she would have NOTHING to do with any man) some years back ingested a sticky hand. For those of you without pre-teen boys, a sticky hand is made of some stretchy, quasi-gelatinous substance, is roughly shaped like a hand, and will stick to a wall if thrown against it.

Anyway, we had not even missed the toy until Moppet tried to pass it, without success. Even worse was the fact that, at the time the discovery was made, Grandpa was baby-sitting the kids. Poor Grandpa had to shut himself up in the bathroom with the cat and gently pull the toy from Moppet’s “back door.” The kids still talk about the noises that eminated from the bathroom that afternoon–some things are best left to the imagination!

Needless to say, sticky hands have since been banned from our household. The youngest has just about outgrown that stage now.

My male cat Tom loves Ice Cream (tries to lick the wrappers but that was a no-no), he also loves to lick out the platstic bowls which have had rice pudding in, in fact I think anything that has had milk in it (he sniffs the teacup but decided it’s not for him!) I think generally he likes to investigate everything!! He’s a real Nosspot.

My first cat, Whiskers loved to lick the Haagen Daz ice cream bars. As soon as she heard the sound of me opening one, she would come running, would wait till I ate all the chocolate coating and licked a little of the ice cream and then I would let her lick some from the bar. She loved them because they are so high in cream content. She also like butter and the whipped cream.

Now on the other hand Sylvester will have nothing to do with human food other than some types of crackers, croissants, butter or whip cream.

He also loves ice cream. Chaos on the other hand loves anything salty and crunchy-potatoe chips, saltine crackers, cheetos etc. My 18 year old son taught her to eat that stuff.

My Hudson’s favorite toys are pony tail holders. He will play with them for long periods of time and I can’t think how many are currently lurking under our refrigerator and other furniture.

He loves them so much if I have a ponytail in my hair and sit on the couch he will climb to the back of the couch so he can pull the holder right off my hair. He’ll do the same at night if I’m in bed with one in.

BUT, they have to be the right kind of ponytail holders. I prefer rather fat fabric ones to the skinny elastic bands. So does he. If his efforts result in one of those skinny ones, he’ll walk off in a huff.

The only toy Taffy would play with was a pink sponge curler. That little fool would flip it up in the air then hide it under the coffee table to discover it later and tame it all over again. He would also get on the back of my chair when I was setting my hair and try and steal them right out of my hair. My first cat loved playing with them too and cubba bubba Domino would just watch.

I think a little taste won’t hurt anything. My Juliette loves a couple of tiny bites from the inside of a glazed donut. My Annie likes a few sips of that Starbucks vanilla coffee in the bottle. My Socks likes the inside of a bisquit and my Romeo likes potato chips. My Lil Hunney liked boiled chicken breast and it had to be the breast. Juliette also likes chicken soup from La Baguettes with tiny bites of the soft part of a baguette. That’s a treat she doesn’t get often.

As my roommate knows, it is dangerous to mention Peeps in my vicinity. I have some VERY strong opinions about which are the REAL peeps–yellow or pink, chick or bunny-shaped only!! None of this baby-blue, lime-green, strawberry-flavored heart-shaped stuff. Those are POSERS, not Peeps.

However, within those certain narrow boundaries, I adore Peeps. My mom always picks me up a pack for Easter–a throwback to my childhood.

Another fun activity with peeps is to take two peeps, put a toothpick in each one facing forward, and put them both in the microwave. Turn the microwave on HIGH. They’ll joust, and the loser will explode. (Cleaning up after this activity is a bit of a mess.)

if you take baking power and sugar, mix it 2 to 1, and place small mounds in the back of drawers, cabinets, behind the fridge, etc. The cockroaches walk through it, get it on their legs, and when they “clean” themselves, they ingest it, and then explode, because they can’t belch!

1 tbsp baker’s yeast, 2 tbsp. sugar in 1 pint of water.
I’ve always wanted to try it, for getting rid of ants but I always forget to buy some yeast. Plus, I’d be afraid to put it outside for my cats might eat it. Yeast and cats don’t mix! I seen this on one of those natural remedies show for alternatives to pesticide.

I’ve often wondered what exactly she would tell her kids when one of their friend inevitably hauls out that coffee table book on S&M she did several years back.

I had heard about Madonna. She told Lourdes to wear a belt with her low rise pants so that she won’t have to look at her “butt crack” (sorry for the crass words). I am sure Madonna has already sat down with her to talk about mommy’s past behavior. Whole situation is an oxymoron.

I wear low-rise jeans, and I just cannot imagine having your buttcrack out being COMFORTABLE.

That and when they wear a thong and the straps show oh yuck. I equate a thong with dental floss for the butt.

To my fellow TDKers~ A request for your thoughts and prayers… My mother-in-law (and fellow cat lovers) is having brain surgery tomorrow. We’re heading to Kansas City hoping for the best…. I don’t post often but every positive thought helps at times like this! Thanks in advance guys!
