Mistik
Location: Austin, Texas, USA.
This is a five-week old classic tabby. We found him at a country store, along with his brothers and sisters. At our home, he found several favorite sleeping places, including a tennis shoe and his cat box! Here he is posing on a pumpkin while sniffing a flower. Unfortunately, we had to give him away because two people in our family were allergic to him. But we still love him!

First!
He matches the pumpkin1 Very seasonal.
hurray 3rd now every one will see my note of thanx for all your prayers and best wishes.Today’s kitten is very cute.
What a beauty…………….
Darn I wanted to get the first pounce of the day. However, I am here before Huddy’s mama, so quick-into the backpack kitty !
I don’t have a backpack but I’d love to share that little cutie with you!
Come on over there’s plenty for everyone. We’ll get you a backpack too.
TDK is why I had to go out and buy a backpack !!!

Sweet Mistik’s quite the rage.
Good one Ivory Bill!
Woo Hoo! A backpack of my very own! Now I can play with lots of kitties! C.J. is going to be jealous, VERY jealous. Oh well…I guess she will learn…if I can’t have them at home at least I can “play” with them here.
We are going to be in SOOO much trouble when Huddy’s mama get here. hehehe
Hey, when you snooze you lose!
Backpack? I keep seeing this what is it?
the “backpack”, Ange, is purely hypothetical: it is a place where we place kittens for snorgles, squishes, and tummy rubs. Of course, we all share amongst ourselves, so if you don’t get first “grab”, don’t worry, the kitten will get around to you eventually!
T
Thanks ! Appreciate the explaination.
Adorable kitty and picture. So sad you are allergic. Cannot imagine life without my kits.
Hope you found Mistik a happy home
Life without kittens would be terrible! I agree with you that i couldn’t live without my kittens either!
I found out I was allergic to cat hair among other things, but that didin’t keep me from having 3 in the house at once!!!!!!! I found that I didn’t mind the symtoms after a while, and that a lot of other things were blocking my nose and making me sneeze, besides cat hair. The cats were only a small part of what I was allergic to, like cut grass, mold, birds ect. I would rather be stuffed up than NOT have my babies around. I hope you found the cat a good home?
I totally agree with you. I´m alergic too, but if a doctor tell me to get rid of my cats I just get rid of him!
Wow its been some time since I’ve posted on here! Mistik is like a dream kitty… very adorable! What a lil angel!
Ben how have you and your family been? It has been ages since your last visit here.
Hi Ben, welcome back, how are things with you and yours? Hope all is going well!!!
Hey, Kathy. C.J. and I are in VA also.
Very cool!!!…may I ask where we’re in Richmond
Mount Crawford…just south of Harrisonburg.
Orange on Orange FuZzZzZz!
He’s a cutie… I’d be heartbroken if I were allergic to cats!
I’m allergic…and I have one anyway! That’s what Claritin is for.
iagree with you i’m allergic to but have 7 kittsand i love everyone .
Such a sweet ball of fluff. I might of been tempted to take allergy meds instead of getting rid of this kitty. I hope the furever home will be the last and filled with love.
perfect balance FUZZ.. so sweet
Hi Will be back when I find the time. The lurker
Mistik is so cute. So sorry you were allergic to him. Nice picture.
Mistik is such a cutie, I agree with Susan, I’d be willing to take allergy shots to have this little boy and I HATE SHOTS!
If anyone is interested in seeing some cute polydactyl kitties, here is some pics I’d like to share.

meany!!
I hope you’re being sarcastic, because every single one of those kitties is beautiful!
Kittens with Mittens! That’s what they look like, anyway. I think they’re absolutely adorable!
i agree i own a six toed calico and she is cute and very affectionate
Ok! I have to get myself a backpack just for Gimper!! How Sweet!! My Aunt had a beautiful sweet “poly” named Penny for years…
he is so pretty.
I would like to see little Mistik run the pumpkin along with his paws, whilst he balances on top. I hope he found a good home
What a cute boy!
The polydactyls were gorgeous. I have to say, about both the sweet little Mistik today, and Bonnie, the polydactyl, that I would NEVER give them up. I’m terribly allergic, but take Allegra and just put up with the remaining symptoms it doesn’t fix. If I had to move in with my kids, like the lady who owned Bonnie did, I’d live under a bridge before I’d let them tell me to give up my cats! Just sayin’……
*exits soapbox…*
I agree, Rainingwolf. I have a friend whose bf wasn’t a cat person, and he automatically assumed that she would give up her children (the furry kind, of course) if they moved in together. He just talked about it as if it were a given and she didn’t have a choice. Obviously, they broke up.
the cats stay, the man goes

Hello everyone. I have been sneaking peeks at the TDK sight for about 2 or 3 weeks now. I thought it was time to say hello!
And Mistik is a very gorgoues little bundle of fluff.
Welcome, Ange! Glad you can join in the fun!
Mistik is beautiful! Hope he’s in a happy home.
You won’t be sorry you joined in the fun. Welcome !! Oh yeah, I agree with the above comments-allergies or not I will have my kittykids. Thank you Zertek (sp?).
If my kids were allergic, I’d be more likely to give them up than the kitties! Can’t imagine life without them (cats)
Yes, I am allergies to everything. Zyrtec is great , for all season allergies. I have food allergies too, garlic if to much gives me migraine headaches, allergy to water. Makes me itch for about 10 minutes. Drink only filtered water.
Love the kitty of the day. lol
Thanks Keltickitty13 I am more than sure this was a good thing. How could it not be with all these warm and friendly people and kittens.

Hi, Ange. I’m a recent follower of TDK myself. I believe if all of us got together, we would probably be amazed by our diversity. For example, I’m just an ordinary white guy from South Louisiana, who dodges hurricanes from time-to-time. However, we all share an appreciation, and a love for those little fuzz-buckets we know as “kittens.”
Welcome Ange!

Thanks for the welcome Catwrangler!
I bet you are right. With all our diversities, backgrounds, belief systems and values we are all brought together for our love of all things that are small, cute, furry and fluffy.
Since I stumbled across this side one day I have been hooked on seeing the next cute furball.
Thanks for the welcome. And you are right. We are all very different people with a common or shared love of kittens and cats.
Welcome, Ange - I’m so glad you’re here!
Thank you. I am quite conneted to have decided to take the plunge and join the chats. Love to talk about kitties.
contented ;o)
Welcome to the site, Ange! I have been off and on this week, because work has been hectic. I’m sort of out of the loop with the convo lately, but I haven’t missed any of the sweet little babies! Good thing, I wouldn’t make it through my day!
So tru. I am currently working at least for another week full time through home and hospital teaching/tutoring grades 1 to 12th. I am currently working with 8 students. Talk about busy. I spend more time in my car driving then at home these days. I can’t wait until the 17th. I will go back to full time substitue teaching and keep 2 of my current Home and Hospital students to the end of the school year. Hopefully by August I will have a full time teaching position in an elementary classroom.
The 17th I am going to a job fair for teachers. Hopefully I will get hired. ;o)
Thanks Caddycat! Figured it was just time to join in the convesation. ;o)
Welcome Ange glad you decided to comment instead of just lurking - we love both but it is fun to talk to commenters. Where abouts in the world are you located if I am not being too nosey?
I’m glad some family gave up their cat due to allergies. That is how I got my pretty little Sorcha girl. She is such a snuggle bunnie.

Thanks for the welcome Susan. No need to feel nosey. I am from Morgan Hill California.
Ange is that Northern or Southern CA? I have friends in Costa Mesa and relatives in Stockton and Spring Hill near Truckee. I have spent time in Palm Springs on vacation.
Sorry stiill learning how to reply. Didn’t realize I could directly to your reply, but do know;o) My answer is a bit further down. ;o)
with all the kittens in those backpacks they should be getting rather full by now… unless you empty them out every night…
These backpacks are specially designed by R. L. Heinlein they never need empting.
I will not even date a man who is allergic to cats, since I will NEVER give them up!
i have no idea what they are saying, but such pretty babies! i wish my cats were like that with my hammy. enjoy!

Hey Susan It’s northern California it’s about a 45 minute drive from San Jose an 1 and 1/2 from San Fransicso. I have Faily in Stockton and it’s about a 2 to 3 hour drive from home to get there.
My two favorite places in the USA are San Frnacisco and Lake Tahoe. I could never afford to live in SF so I jokingly told my family to spread my ashes there.
Mistik is SO cute!!!!
He’d be the perfect Halloween present!
:)
Hurray for Mistik
How cute!!
OMG cute!!
Welcome, Ange! I get a lot from this site, but am new at posting.
I had a very severe allergic reaction to a kitten when I was a 10 year old, and out went the cat! I was 55 years old when I got Kelsie 7 years ago. My allergist told me I might walk in the house one day in a year or two and have a bad reaction and drop dead. I said, “In the meantime I’ll be happy. Just come let the cat out.” I quit doing the shots and got the kitten. Never have had ANY problems, and recently added Maizie and still no problems.
I did allery shots for a long time (up to 5 at a time) and most of the time I do okay, but now the newest allergies all seem to be drug related. I’m allergic to what they want to use when I have an allergic reaction. I just tell myself “If you’re supposed to drown, you ain’t gonna hang.”
When I did my allergy testing they informed me that pets were one of my allergies. I said I slept on my cats and dogs and had no reaction whatsoever and was informed that I had probably developed an immunity to them. I’ll accept that!
Love your final comment..
there are cats said to be less allergic, but got to pay up and get the store-boughten variety.
why does everyone have an orange person but ME!!
yippity doo da i am LAST,so far anyway:)
Anything makes a good perch. Adorable
