Yay, I’m the first! They’re the best Christmas present a momma kitty could want, especially since there’s nine of them! I bet she was just happy to have them out of her. They’re adorable!

Yes, what lovelies - Lady Roo must be very proud. Who was the lilac point ?? or was that a grandparent ?? I had a wonderful choc point for 15 years who got poisened when the neighbors sprayed their yard - my wonderful vet tried so hard to save him, that’s 40 years ago and I still miss his wonderful personality.

Alice-so sorry-My husband sprayed for fleas in our yard one evening and one of my furs went out to the kennel nearby and moments later I was rushing him to the ER for respiratory distress. We were lucky that night. What was your baby’s name?

My baby’s name was Pyewacket - after a movie kitty, can’t remember the name of the movie, so long ago, but of course I remember the wonderful cat. Thanks for your condolences - so glad your furperson survived - more and more “chemical lawns” now so everyone do be careful !!!

I, too, had a chocolate point. He died of kidney failure almost 18 years ago and I still miss him so much. Of course, I love the kitties I’ve had since then (wouldn’t be a home without a fuzzbutt), but no one has taken his place! There’s something special about the chocolate point personality.

Words to live by… currently in my home, the rshelf rail in my refrigerator door is “duct-taped” to keep it from falling and our condiments from spilling onto the floor EVERYTIME you open the fridge door. This tape-job so distresses my husband that he is adamant about getting a new fridge before any other home improvements…doesn’t bother me!

Comment by Dee from Tampa
2007-03-15 18:55:00

OMG! I have the freakiest story about that shelf rail falling out of my refrigerator door at my old apartment! Very often, when I would open the fridge door, that stupid shelf would pop out and a few condiments would hit the ground. One day as I was opening up the fridge, my beloved Juliet came running because she thought she was going to get a bite of cheese (think I told you that she LOVED Kraft singles! It got to the point that anytime she heard cellophane rustling she would come running!). Well, the shelf popped off the door and my bottle of Tabasco sauce fell on the floor, cracking the top of the bottle off–Tabasco sauce splashed all over–including into Juliet’s eye!!! So she was trying to run away and hide as I’m chasing her around the house! I finally grabbed her and tried to flush her eye out with water as gently as I could–and of course she was terrified by all the chaos. My poor kitty–I tried to comfort her all night after that!

Oh Dee, how awful for Juliet. Hello and how are you today?
You all are talking about Duct tape and such. My grandpa, used to to say, if you can’t tape it, wire it or glue it, then it can’t be fixed! He oiled the living room clock, one time and put too much oil on it and it ran down the wall. My grandma was not amused. lol

Lady Roo’s litter is so adorable. I would have fun playing with them. Their picture popped up and I was just oohing and awwing! I cannot find the words to express myself completely, about them. They just make you feel good.:) All warm and fuzzy.

I do alot of crafting and the best glue bar none is E6000 I have glued metal, wood, plastic, china and things that go in the washer. The only thing it isn’t good for is paper as it too thick. You can find in any craft department I usually get it at Wal Mart. It is clear and dries clear I use it for all my canes.

Little Biscuit was found on a camping trip on Memorial Weekend. The little guy had rode in on a fellow camper’s motorhome’s motor for 3 hours. The couple heard the kitten cries and this guy was going to “flush him out” until LeeAnne was notified of a kitten in distress and ran to these people’s RV and crawled underneath with pieces of ham to coax the little guy out. The kitten was stuck in the frame of the motor home and I got him to poke his little head out to grab some ham and gently squeezed him out. He was so pitiful, ALL his pads were burnt and blistered including his nose and a little spot above his eye and he was COVERED in fleas and dirt. Took him to my camper, washed him off best I could, picked fleas off of him for 2 days, as soon as I got home went straight to my vet and got him on antibiotics and all tests were clear! Hence the name Biscuit, he’s solid black and just looked like a little burnt biscuit when I found him. The vet couldn’t believe he had survived and was able to “hang on” for that long a ride! Biscuit is now a healthy brat and looks amazing. I call him my miniature panther! And that’s his story!! :D

Hi Kate,
Bob’s VERY sleepy after his shot this morning and he and Teddy are still sleeping in the drawer. He’s going back for another shot in two weeks, but I’m not telling him that!
He does deserve a nice weekend, though, since he’s gone to work with me three days this week. He loves to chase the paper balls, battle the plastic bags and his absolute favorite is some kind of yellow “string” that was wrapped around a box of paper! I brought one home for him and every night when I go to sleep, he plays around with it for hours!
Last night I woke up with him sleeping and purring with his head resting on his front paws on my chin - he was so cute, I didn’t want to move!

Awww that sounds so cute Great Dane. You are lucky to have Bob and Bob is lucky to have you. I love it when kitties like to sleep on you. My first cat, Whiskers use to always sleep on my chest. I got her at six weeks so I think she saw me as “mommy”. My current cat Sylvester doesn’t do that and I got him at 11 weeks. I wish Sylvester did it. On the weekends sometimes he will come and curl up under the covers in the “crook” of my arm. I love it when he does that. Love those affectionate kitties.

I love when they do that when they are kittens! Desdemona used to rest her head on my neck/shoulder join, and her tiny kitten body would be tucked in underneath my chin and on my bodice (for lack of a better descriptive word). She’s a very big girl now, so she has modified her position. Now she still sleeps on my pillow, but more beside me than on top.

They are soooo precious when they are babies. I was remembering the kittenhoods of my babies the other day, and sort of longing for that time. I did one rescue in my life (I can’t do it anymore because it is so painful when I have to give the kittens away) and the little girls (3) that I had used to climb up to my shoulders and hide behind my hair - I had very long hair at the time. They were so adorable. I have kitten envy!! Or maybe just Bob envy!

Gives away your age!! My mother refused to let me watch the TV show (the one with Bert Ward and whathisname)…. I had to sneak to see at friends houses……

Eighteen blue eyes
Captivate me this morning
Causing my spirit to rise
How my heart is adoring

Elene-How is Finn?

Hi Teresa. Thank you for asking. Finn is healthy and neutered and vaccinated as of the 6th. My problem is he will not come out from under the queen bed in the kitten room. His only movement was to exit the carrier he was using for a bed and going down the hall to the kitten room. For 6 days now I have had to lay on the floor and use a flash light to see him. Just checking to see if he is breathing. Never met a cat like him. No curiousity or maybe so feral he’s afraid to move. I know he eats and since 6 of my gang sleep in there all night maybe he comes out when I close the door for the night.
