K
Location: Boston, Massachusetts, USA
This is K, who was rescued from a terrible backyard breeder situation. She had ringworm, an upper respiratory infection and several internal parasites. She cleaned up nicely! This is her “glamour shot” which I had done for her daddy’s Xmas present because she is such a Daddy’s girl!

fuzzy fuzz!!
I hope all the readers of this blog are aware of the wet cat food recall that has been going on. People are losing animals to kidney failure. There are several blogs over the lasst 2 days with web sites to the tainted food.
I love this sight, but do not have time tonight to read everyones comments, though I think special K is a hottie.
Look at the liddle tongue!
Bronx Cheer FUZZ!
Beautiful Glamour Girl!
Pouncable and lovable little fluffball!
Such a sad look on your face K! “Love me, you know you want to”
What a beautiful baby! God bless you for coming to her rescue!!
peanut butter and chocolate swirl ice cream!!!!!!!!!!
How fluffy and sweet!
I was thinking a Reeces Peanut Butter Cup.
OK, just K? not Kay? is that K as in kitten? Any way you name her, she is soooooo cute! Love all that fur and patchy color! Hi K!
If my barn cat Callie were a long-hair; she’d be K. The half-black, half-orange chin pattern is exactly the same.
I’d put her in my backpack if she hadn’t been a Christmas prezzie for someone special !!!
That never stopped Huddy’s Mama!
Nothing stops Huddy’s mama. Until she falls on her own pitchfork
What a beautiful kitty. What sad little eyes.
I hope you’ve been okay. Haven’t seen you for a while.
Aww Tiger, you are SO sweet to ask. I told you I fell on the pitchfork. I’m kidding.
I was off Thursday and Friday last week and slept all day both days. So I wasn’t around.
I’m sure somebody put cats in the backpacks. Traditions are a good thing.
So now you’ve got a pitchfork, too? Am I going to have to start picking on someone else? Instinct, are you armed?
15 years of Kung-Fu and I come from a cop family. What do you think Ginny
30+ years of martial arts, daughter of a cop, trained as a professional wrestler, sharp shooter. So there. :p
Ginny, the pitchfork is just to menace people. I don’t think I’d actually jab anybody with it. They see me with the pitchfork - they hand over the kitties. See? lol
Dad also taught me boxing and Judo. Sharpshooter as well - pistol and rifle.
Though when it comes right down to it, I prefer knives
Hey HM, don’t you know that brandishing a weapon is a crime
Hey! You guys are scaring me…..LOL!!
You people are scaring me.
Anger…fear…aggression. The dark side of the Force are they.
I’m more of a rifle and pistol kinda gal!!
That reminds me of a story a friend told me about three SCA members going home from an event at night and some bozo tried to rob them at knifepoint. As one, they throw back their cloaks to reveal three big honking swords. heh
You guys are all scaring me. What is the saying..violence only begits violence. I think I will go take this kitty and go hide in the closet till all of you calm down. I think everyone needs a chocolate chip cookie to sooth you all.
I’m actually very mellow unless somebody tries to take my pitchfork.
I’ll have to keep my wits about me today as I traverse the TDK…. *catrancher sets phaser to “stun” and looks both ways before clicking on Add Comment*
Or the daily kitten!
All this pitchfork talk reminds me of the guy we buy our firewood from. He was missing for a couple of weeks when we went by and found out he had been put in jail for attacking someone with a pitchfork. Somebody tried to rob him at knife point and he just happened to have a pitchfork in his truck!
For Huddy’s Mama- Here is my very bestest favorite martial art weapon.
My Sifu says that she thinks I was born for it and I must admit, it’s a heck of a lot of fun

Instinct,
My hubby is a HUGE fan of anything with a blade and has the greatest collection going. For Christmas I gave him the “Riddick” blades and he has this thing he calls a shark?…it’s got blades upon blades and is very, very evil looking…you two should get together and compare collections and notes
Wait a minute–somebody tries to rob a guy at knifepoint, he defends himself with a pitchfork and HE gets put in jail? What’s wrong with this picture?
On the other hand, the glamourpuss picture is just perfect. Wouldn’t it be handy to be able to lick your nose like that? I mean if you got ice cream on it or something?
Somebody needs to turn their avenging pitchfork on that backyard breeder.
That is a cool implement, Instinct! Are you proficient with it? How about a clip on youtube?
Kathy–how about when my husband and I gave my brother-in-law a claymore (the Scottish two-handed sword, NOT the American anti-personnel mine) for his birthday?
Anyway, I had no idea one innocuous, tongue-in-cheek remark could begin such a firestorm! I guess I’ve still got it!
Yea, actually I’m really good with it (not to brag too much) but I must admit I have never been a big fan of seeing myself in pictures
I’ve won a few tournaments with it doing weapons form- probably because it is a very unusual weapon - and when I was activly training I use to spar with my Sifu using it and she would use whatever weapon she felt like.
Well, I don’t know martial arts, I don’t own a pitchfork, (one in the house is enough!), wasn’t raised by a policeman, but I can run like heck!!!!!!!!!
*kisses K and scoops her up before the fighting begins and slips her gently into backpack, after Karin is finished with her, of course!!*
Glad you’re back HM! Hope the rest did you good.
Ginny, my husband would (pardon the bad choice of word here) kill to have one of those….he is such a blade freak …..there is a place here in Richmond that has a giant indoor flea market every weekend and some of the people acutally have stores set up inside..one of them deals with nothing but blades and blade related merchandise…..needless to say whenever we go there I always know where to find David..standing at the counter practically drooling…lol
Kathy–
Find out when Highland games will be within a reasonable drive to you. That’s how we got the Claymore–and reasonably priced, too.
Kathy, we men do not DROOL over sharp pointy objects… we salivate excessively
Highland games….. *drool*
We have a couple katanas and switchblades here in the apartment. My roomie is a Navy Vet of the (original) Persian Gulf war.
Me too!! What boat was he on Arcalian??
The Saratoga.
OH SO CUTE I JUST WHAT TO EAT IT
with marshmallows!
Is it just me or does this little baby resemble an owl? Not that there’s anything wrong with that. I happen to love owls!
I love owls as well, and used to have one that was stuffed. It wasn’t really an owl, but it was made with rabbit fur!!!! I named it Peter and yes, it did look a ton like K.
That was my first thought too! K is so absolutely “K”issable, “K”uddlable. I’d brave the pitchforks for this baby however my Pricilla loves to hunt birds and this could be a problem.
Is it my imagination or does this little baby resemble an owl? I love owls, don’t you?
My what big eyes you have, K. My Jiggs has eyes like that, and being a Maine Coon, his head and mane turn, resembling an owl. I love owls too. I hear them, but it’s really hard to spot them.
How can you make them shut up?
) and that critter hoots all evening, night and morning long!
We’ve got a really loud one residing in the woods by our home (soon to be another housing development
I don’t know. Brings the thought of Joe Pesci in “My Cousin Vinny” when they’re sleeping in a cabin in the woods and an owl starts screeching.
Ear plugs?
Other than MerD’s suggestion of ear plugs, I don’t think there is a solution. Just remember the owl is keeping the rodent population under control. Try to enjoy the sound of mother nature for now, because the housing development will certainly put an end to all woodland sounds and you will miss the owl.
The owl is mourning the loss of its forest home
Oh, I love fuzzy little babies. I’m glad she was rescued from a bad situation. She’s a beautiful little K.
What a darling! Love the coloring. Our little girl kitty is a Daddy’s Girl for sure! She has my husband wrapped around her tail good and tight! Beautiful colors, sweet face, gorgeous eyes! I think I’m in love (swoons)
What an adorable, pretty kittty. So glad she has a good Mom and Dad to watch over her and keep her safe and happy.
Hey K. A lovely amber eyed floofy kit. Thank you for rescuing her from a horrible start in life. She’s a glamour queen now.
Have a great day TDKers!
Hi all,
I was interviewed recently for a radio show broadcast from Las Vegas called The Petcast. I talk about Cats In Sinks, Kittenwar, The Daily Kitten and the Random Kitten Generator, and the show is now online if anyone’s interested. Here’s a direct link to the audio file - I come on at the ten minute mark.
Thanks for the link. I don’t have long to goof around today so I’ll have to listen later.
That is awesome Kittenmaster - great publicity for the sites! Maybe you will be chosen by a furry baby soon!
Way to go Kittenmaster. You Rock!
I agree with Teresa…..that was a great interview and now we can all put a voice to the name…..
Great interview! It was intersting to hear your voice Kittenmaster! You now have a real identity in my head.
Kittenmaster,
I listened to the radio show. That is SO COOL!!! Thank you for sharing it! Congrats for being a guest on the radio show! It was neat to hear your voice too.
Sorry you are unable to own at cat at this time….
It’s worth the wait
Hey my PA buddy, how are you!!! Sorry I have been absent for a while. Very busy at work, but am lurking and following everyone. Good to talk with you again.
Way to go Kittenmaster,it was very nice to hear your voice. I also went to cats in sinks for the first time,it’s hysterical!

Thanks for helping us cat and animal people get together.
Congrats on the interview Kittenmaster! Nice to be recognized for all your hard work.
so nice to hear your voice, KittenMaster! and you deftly managed the interview, although your “hosts” seemed rather distracted or unprepared… I can’t wait for your “top secret” news…more kittehs, perhaps?
I think they were distracted because they were playing with the websites during the interview.
And yes, it might just be more cats and kittens… a bit predictable, I know, but why change a winning formula?
Exactly!
Great interview, Kittenmaster! I was surprised to hear that it’s a weekend thing. Your hard work is appreciated…
Kitten Feud instead of Kitten Wars! Puh-leeze! Don’t mess with perfection!
don’t you mean purrfection
I just listened to the interview - it was nice to hear your voice! Congratulations - it sounds like you’re getting some well deserved recognition.
Very nice to hear your voice, Kittenmaster. Didn’t know you were behind the other sites too. That makes you a very busy man!! Thanks for mentioning about Bo’s operation and how we helped with that. Keep up the good work and peaceful rest to you (when you have the time!!) Thanks again for sharing with us.
I started listening to this, but then my boss came back… darn! What I did hear was interesting, and being from the US, I, of course, love the accent Kittenmaster ..
Kittenmaster, it was great to hear your voice and I enjoyed listening to the interview. Can’t wait to hear what else you have up your sleeve. I’m sure it (they) will be great for all of us who are so in love with our feline masters.
As much as I loved my 16 kits before going on-line with Cats in Sinks, TDK, and others, I now appreciate them even more. I’m sorry you can’t have a cat, but if you did you might never have started these sites.
Kittenmaster,
You are a right proper English gent !!!!! YOU ROCK !!!
For car buffs: “Reliant K FUZZ”!
For contemporary Christian music fans: “Relient K FUZZ”!
For MIB afficionados: “‘Where are J and Zed?’ FUZZ!
It’s good to be back! I missed y’all!
OOOooooooooooooo K !
AAAAALLLLLLVVVVVVIIIIINNNNN!!!!!!
Oh my goodness! I had to check the name, because that looks just like my Mom’s new Persian Janus. She was also rescued from a family who had no idea how to care for a Persian, and now lives a life of luxery with Mom’s other 2 Persians. We’d never seen one that color before, but I’ll have to tell her about this site.
“I’m beautiful, Oh K!!!”
Happy Monday TDKers–today was my first day back from Spring break and it should be illegal to get up when it’s dark outside! Ginny–are you back yet?
Present!
I jumped in with both feet this morning–writing up a kid before 1st period today for doing something stupid right in front of me.
While I was disappointed with all the rain last week, I took advantage of the opportunity to get lots of rest and catch up on grading–except for the 7th grade tests, the key for which I somehow forgot to bring home.
Still, I had a great time Monday at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. It wasn’t crowded (I think the threat of rain kept a lot of people away, but it never did rain that day), Sugarland did a fantastic show, the rodeo was exciting, and I have never seen a more stirring flag presentation/National Anthem performance! Made me PROUD to be an American!
Oh, yeah–I fell in love…with a truck! Toyota had in its display the Lucchese edition of its Tundra pick-up. That thing ROCKS! It was black, had a crew cab, a 5.8 liter V8, all the bells and whistles with the most user-friendly buttons and dials I’ve ever seen, and way-cool ostrich leather trim on the seats and door panels. I thought the sticker price would be in the $50-60,000 range, but it was listed @ $36,000–only $3,000 more than the standard Tundra crew cab next to it! Yeah, I’d still have to win the lottery to afford one, but one CAN dream, right? So now y’all know what to get me for Christmas! (ha,ha)
So, FondaHonda, how was YOUR break?
As usual, I got nothing done that I intended to do (typical!).
I did a bunch of nothing, threw in some more nothing, and to top it off, napped because I was so tired from doing nothing!
I THINK IT SHOULD BE ILLEGAL TO GET OUT OF BED IF IT’S DARK OUTSIDE!!!!!! It was hard getting up this morning.
A cool thing did happen, though. Tracie from TX (who posts on here) lives in my area. After e-mailing each other, it was discovered that she was a student at my school and remembers who I am. Small world, huh? Boy, do I feel old!
Glad to be back, though–I do better with routines in my life.
Is today the day that Tracie gets the lateral transfer? We need to hear how she’s doing.
Congrats on the reunion with Tracie, FondaHonda! Amazing how we can meet people on here that we knew somewhere along the line in our lives. Sorry you didn’t get anything done, hope you got some rest.
Still writing the kids up, Ginny!! Pretty awful to start the day off that way. Glad you had a good weekend.
I probably wouldn’t have bothered with the write-up if the kid hadn’t looked me in the eye and tell a bold-faced lie about it. Only two things I won’t abide: lying and being disrespectful during the Pledges.
It’s only March and mine are FINALLY beginning to realilze that ‘A Moment of Silence. . .’ means no talking, noises, etc. That’s one of my pet peeves, too
I hear you both! Hang in there! And if no one else has told you, thanks for teaching our children. I know it’s not an easy job. Thanks for teaching them respect and self worth. You go girls!
I know how you can fall in love with an auto–have you seen the Accord Coupe for ‘08? It’s going to be totally redesigned. I really am FondaHonda (4 in a row!) and the ‘08 will be mine as soon as it comes out.
So beautiful but so sad looking.
Such a pretty little furball, Love the pink tongue!
She’ll be the love of your life.
Beautiful==looks like my Sophie who was full of mischief until she was five and then turned in the sweetest most mellow cat I ever had. I hope K brings as much pleasure to her owners as Sophie does to me (she is 12 now)
What a sweet face! Thank you for rescuing her–I think they know you saved them and are forever grateful!
Yes, Sheba’s Mom - I really am sure they know. Every animal I’ve had the pleasure of keeping have always had that little special something - a bond that happens when you first see them and realize they need adoption or rescue - all my pets have been strays, mongrels, or ferals and I have had so much love from them all.
What a little lovie!
She is gorgeous. I’m so glad you rescued her.
K as in Men in Black? This then would Agent K, Kitten in Black to fight aliens from other planets?
K FuZzZzZz
I can hardly stand the picture!! Love the tongue!! What a sweet baby!! Me love kitty!!!
She looks like she’s is giving a raspberry
Pffftt right back at you cutie!
I just want to hug her, and kiss her, and get lost in all that fluff! She’s adorable. Funny how she chose to stick her little tongue out for the camera.
What a beautiful girl! Very lucky to have been rescued and to do the rescuing. What are people thinking? So strange. But luckily K has landed in clover and an indulgent Daddy. Love the “glamour shot”!!
AAWW, K is so cute. Such a sweet picture. I just love her fur and those eyes.. they are so golden, such a pretty color. Poor baby, so glad you rescued her and that she is better now.
Hi everyone, I would like prayers and positve thoughts please. My family is in financial trouble and I’m probably going to have to move my elderly parents from their too big house. It will be traumatic for all involved since my folks are 82 and 86 and I will have to do most of the work. All this and I have to find a new job too. It feels like quite an enormous burden on my shoulders.
Positive thoughts and prayers headed your way! Hope all works out for your parents and for you too…keep us posted!
My thoughts and prayers are with you. We had to do the same thing when my father-in-law passed away. He lived in Florida and we’re in Maryland so we had a lot of flights back and forth.
