This is Boris (Karloff), brother of yesterday’s Daily Kitten, Bela, at approximately four weeks. “Please, Santa, bring me a tuna steak for Christmas!”

Most importantly, Mr. Karloff was the voice of the Grinch in that Christmas classic, “How the Grinch Stole Christmas”, a winning conclusion to a scary career!
I can never reconcile when I see pics of one of God’s sweetest creations such as Master Karloff, whether kitten or full grown cat, how anyone can do physical or emotional damage to them! Thank you for giving Boris a loving home.
Boris is so cute I just want to hold him I love kittens there usualy always small and fluffy I always want to pet them and deffently Boris and I love white cats he is adorable I really wish he was my kitten.
No, but he’s SUCH a monster! Boris wakes my husband up every morning at 5AM by biting the little divet (sp) between his nostrils… As I speak, he’s destroying something in the floor not 5 feet from me. He’s a terror, but I love him!!
Tansey came up on my pillow and purred me back to sleep around 3:30. Now I know why, she was trying to make up for the humungous hairball-contained-in-cat-food that she had barfed up for us in the dining room. She also was a lot more lively today and wanted to play at 5am.

Yes, the silent meow is the a most tricky thing they do, it looks like they are so weak from hunger or lack of affection or catnip they can hardly get the jaws open. My Mike makes it a specialty - the head lowers, the eyes peek up a little, then the jaw quivers open and NO MEOW - or just a little squeak - gets me every time. Boris looks baffled, but cute and sweet, glad he has a sister for company.

We call Linus and his sister Lucy “the mewps” because that was the tiny sound they made as kittens. They still don’t have much of a meow, even though they are nearly a year and a half old.
Since my Dixie doodle passed, Duchess has decided she will now be my alarm clock. As soon as my alarm goes off, she meows, hops on the bed walks across me, sits on my head PURRING and Biting and digging at the covers. As soon as she thinks I’m roused (try to snuggle with her) she jumps off the bed and sits just out of reach, purring contentedly with her job! She is a silly thing…
Shaddo sends Jiggs in to wake me for breakfast. Not a big deal during the week, but weekends and days off can be a challenge. I took my b-day off yesterday and they wanted food at 6:45 - too early for a day off, plus Shaddo needs his meds between 7-7:30 and I didn’t feel like having to stay awake to do that. They waited till 7:30. They make me crazy sometimes - someone puked during the night and I can’t find it - but I still love them!
Tiger stands on or next to my pillow and purrs until I wake up. One morning he stood up next to the bed and poked me with his huge paws. Man kitties are cute!
Linus has been banished from our bedroom because my husband is such a light sleeper, and Linus insists on being loved around 2:30 a.m., 3:45 a.m., 5:00 a.m., etc.
PUR-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R-R *bump up hand to fall on Linus’ head, bump, bump, NIP because you aren’t petting him*
Mine is no longer allowed to sleep in the bedroom either… He likes to sleep on or near my sweeties head… (gives off alot of heat or something) not conducive to sleep for anyone but Knucklehead…
That’s great!
Ferrule fell in the toilet while relieving himself last week. Now he gets me at 6:30 so that he can hang onto me while he does his business. He still handles peeing on his own though.
Boris is very sweet.White cats are beautiful.I used to have four white cats myself. They were all very loving. Now I have six cats but none of them are white.
How wonderful to have 4 white cats at once - how did you manage - sisters and bros ?? Were any deaf ?? Neighbor of mine has a white - no blue eyes, but mostly deaf. Have never had a solid white - once a tan - must have been part Siamese.
This little guy is sooooooo cute, I need to hyperventilate into a paper bag. I’m next after Judy and MerD for a cuddle. I’ll hand him over to Huddy’s mama when she shows…..promise….no really, I just want a quick cuddle.
Rowangrey you have some sweet little boys! He can nibble on me at 5:00 am anytime. Thierry already walks all over me and purrs in my ear at 5 so what’s one more!
Elephant Bread! I used to work at the SA Zoo and we used to find all kinds of ways to get the right nuetrition to the animals. In the summer we would make “Chicken sycles” for the Lions and other big cats.
All three of my babies wake me up at 5:00AM. Their baby doctor has a sign “There’s no snooze button on a cat that wants breakfast.” I say “NO KIDDING” LOL
But Bela and Boris are adorable!
PS The new sign says “A DOG IS A MAN’S BEST FRIEND, BUT A CAT IS A CAT’S BEST FRIEND.”
HAA HAA! I keep trying to tell Duchess and Bobbie Boo that - they are still hissing and spitting at each other and it has been a week now. I hope they adjust soon..
Oh, I feel your pain! One hisses at the new baby and the other runs away as if he were made of fire! I even had to clean a bloody scratch the other morning. And of course the big cat feels like I’ve let this interloper invade HIS house… Oh how moms must suffer!!

**Rat Poison Cited In Pet Food Recall**
Wheat From China Contaminated, Lab Says
POSTED: 9:52 am CDT March 23, 2007
A spokeswoman for the New York state Department of Agriculture and Markets said Friday that rodent poison was found in tainted pet food that killed several animals and sparked a nationwide recall.
It is believed that the chemical aminopterin was on wheat imported from China, ABC News reported.
Various online medical sources indicate that aminopterin is also used in trials to treat leukemia.
I was in China for a month last March. They are very new at the business of capitalism, and many will do whatever necessary to earn a profit without taking into account the harm some of their tactics cause. There are little to no governmental controls on their goods. The producer or storer of the wheat probably added the rat poison to the grain to dispose of the nearby rats….. and sold it. Wonder if they even thought about who was going to consume it. This is pretty horrible!
Something else to be wary about are drugs. Profiteers in China manufacture fake drugs. In one case about 2 years ago they actually used yellow paint used for painting lines in the roads. They copy the packaging very accurately and sell the “drug” on the black market. It has been found at unsuspecting pharmacies who are looking for a bargain. These drugs were tested by the FDA because they were not providing the treatment they were designed for to some of the most critically ill people, like cancer patients.
Wicked!

ALBANY, N.Y. - Rat poison has been found in pet food blamed for the deaths of several animals around the United States, a spokeswoman for the State Department of Agriculture and Markets said Friday.
Spokeswoman Jessica Chittenden would not identify the chemical or its source beyond saying it was rodent poison.
State agriculture officials scheduled a news conference Friday afternoon to release laboratory findings from tests on the pet food conducted this week. The deaths led to a nationwide recall.
The Lawyer’s Funeral
A man reluctantly attends his lawyer’s funeral expecting to be one of the only people there, and is surprised to see a huge turnout for this creepy man. He turns to the people around him.
“Why are you all at this lawyer’s funeral?” he asks.
A man turns towards him and says, “We’re all clients.”
>>
>> A Lawyer purchased a box of very rare and expensive cigars, then
>> insured them against, among other things, fire. Within a month, having
>> smoked his entire stockpile of these great cigars and without yet
>> having made even his first premium payment on the policy the lawyer
>> filed a claim against the insurance company.
>>
>> In his claim, the lawyer stated the cigars were lost “in a
>> series of
>> small fires.” The insurance company refused to pay, citing the
>> obvious reason, that the man had consumed the cigars in the normal
fashion.
>>
>> The lawyer sued.. and WON! (Stay with me. It is not the end of
>> it)
>>
>> Delivering the ruling, the judge agreed with the insurance
>> company that the claim was frivolous. The judge stated nevertheless,
>> that the lawyer held a policy from the company, which it had
>> warranted that the cigars were insurable and also guaranteed that it
>> would insure them against fire, without defining what is considered
>> to be unacceptable fire” and was obligated to pay the claim !
>>
>> Rather than endure lengthy and costly appeal process, the
>> insurance company accepted the ruling and paid $15,000 to the lawyer
>> for his loss of the cigars lost in the “fires”.
>>
>> Still not the end of it!
>>
>> NOW, FOR THE BEST PART..
>>
>> After the lawyer cashed the check, the insurance company had him
>> arrested on 24 counts of ARSON!!! With his own insurance claim and
>> testimony from the previous case being used against him, the lawyer
>> was convicted of intentionally burning his insured property and was
>> sentenced
>> to 24 months in jail and a $24,000 fine.

You know, everybody piles on us lawyers but when you get into any sort of difficulty and your first instinct is to sue, sue, sue, who do you look to? A lawyer, of course. Everyone loves to make lawyer jokes but when it comes time to put on the gloves and fight, you all look to us. Luckily, it is mandatory that we grow a thick skin along with passing the bar.

“And you ALL came to pay your respects?”
“No, we came to make sure he was really dead.”
Finally, a lawyer story with a happy ending.
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>

Hey Guys!! I’m a lawyer!!!!!
yeah…a little sensitivity here? I lurve my lawyer who has helped me through a divorce (or two) and settled my father’s estate. AND, my friend’s a judge, she rocks, too!
My nephew’s wife is a lawyer, her brother is one too and her mom has been a lawyer and a judge. My neice loves the jokes so I send them to her.
