    Location: Brookfield, Missouri, USA

RiderI found Rider one the side of the highway. When I put in the car with me she fall sound to sleep… so I named her Rider. Her ears were in very bad shape. They look oily in this picture from all the cleaning we did over and over. That was four years ago this June. She is now a beautiful, sleek black kitty. My Kitty in the weeds.

    Hi Elene,
How are you doing today? How are your fuzzbutts? I am happy as today is my day OFF! I slept for 12 hours last night! Of course being woken up every couple of hours by Perry wanting food!
The other day I worked 8 hours and boy did my back hurt! Yesterday was only 6.

Also, use some human gravy, as suggested yesterday. I tried it and it works very well. I would also suggest using some concentrated bouillon. The kitties love strong smells-

Excuse the stupidity, but I think I did something wrong. I haven’t cooked any meat in about 15 years, so I feel like a novice cook. I boiled boneless chicken breasts in water, with rice, carrots and a bit of broccoli. I’m sure it was well cooked. After it cooled a bit I put batches in the blender. Seemed to shred the chicken and got all tangled around the blades. Was that normal? I know there has to be something wrong with my method.

Bob and I went to the local Whole Foods store yesterday after work and tried to find some organic kitty food, but all they had was for adult cats. Is there a website you could recommend, where I can purchace organic kitty food for the little guy?

If you’re thinking of making fresh food for your kitties, I found Whole Foods has ground organic chicken backs and ground organic chicken necks, for a pretty reasonable price. They’re serving me well, until I can get the grinder needed to grind whole chicken & fish into cat food (including bones & some organ meat).

I’ve got another question. In searching through the abve-mentioned cat food sites, I can’t find any food that’s just for kittens. All of them say for cats and kittens. Am I supposed to feed Baby Bob the same food as grown cats? I thought kittens and cats needed different kinds of nutrition?

They usually do… I’d call the toll free numbers for customer service and ask about that. Maybe you could supplement Bob’s food with KMR formula.

How ’bout them dawgs! Ginny, when was your dad at UGA? My father-in-law taught there until he retired. He was in the agronomy dept. My dad taught at Southwestern in Americus at the same time. English prof.

My dad was at UGA from 1965-1999. He spent all those years part-time at the AD, and worked as an accountant full time from 65-75 (mol) in Business Services and from 75-92 at the Ga. Center for Cont. Ed.

Where did your husband go to HS–Central or Cedar? If he’s in his late 30’s to mid-40’s and went to Clarke Central, I might know him. I was CCHS, class of ‘82–Go Gladiators!

Still, all my cousins went to Cedar Shoals, and I once, in a moment of teenage stupidity, dated a guy who went to school there. So even if he was of the “other persuasion,” if he’s the right age I may know his name.
