This is Perdie at three months old, taken a year ago. A very nosey kitten and very amusing… a bit too clever for her own good!

Starting trouble early today, eh, Instinct?
Well, if I didn’t start it then someone else would, and why should they get all the fun
A story, just for you!
Once upon a time, there were two skunks, brothers who were named “In” and “Out.” Whenever Out was in, In was out, and vice versa. One day, their mother had just finished making supper and asked Out to go and find his brother. Out left to find his brother and returned almost immediately, with his brother in tow. Their mother was amazed and asked Out “How did you find your brother so fast?”
Out’s reply? [are you ready for this?] “In-stink!”
funny
grrrroooooaaaaannnnn, you two!
Hey, Sharon!
Jefferson, huh? I know it well! Does your father-in-law know any members of the Storey family? They were very prominent in Jefferson/Arcade. One was my dad’s boss; his niece was once my boss. Good people, they were.
I’ll ask the hubby and get back to you.

Hello TDKers.
I’ve been AWOL but I’m back now.
Perdie is a beautiful round-eyed girl. She looks so soft too. Whoever has her, hand her over.
Funny cat story:
My middle cat’s name is Maverick. But I call him the Stripey Menace. My exhusband who thinks everything is Hispanic, because, let’s face it, he’s Hispanic so everything else should be too - lol thought I was calling him STRIPE JIMENEZ.
What a goofball.
I’ve got him and was holding him for you HM
‘hand him over’…. grump
LOL! I love it! Your cat now has a new name!
They are lovely!
PIWACKET is adorable! I left him a treat because he’s so pretty!
They are so sweet Elaine!
very very beautiful kitten. wide eyed and I’m sure, bushy tailed.
Judging from Perdie’s eyes, that beaded blind pull is not long for this world!
HaHa - That is just what I was thinking. We have one of those in the dining room and it is in pieces!
Perdie is so very pretty and very feminine looking.
What a sweetie. Good morning, TDKers
Your Perdie is absolutely beautiful. Picture Perfect Perdie.
Picture perfect Purdie, purrs peacefully perched pawing paned pastures.
I like
An alliterative attachment! Awesome!
Fuzzy feline fancies flicking front frame while whapping window dressing, during demure demonstration.
And now, under the WTF section of the news….
***Principal Admits Throwing Excrement***

I just told my students never to complain about their principal again!
Monkies in her family?
But why did she do it/
Perdie is a very pretty girl! Is she an American Shorthair in the UK? Love her markings, too!
Hi CatRancher! Doesn’t it help to look at a cute new kitty every day? Good for the soul…
I need to see the kitties every day or my staff has to deal witha a crabby boss!
You bet it helps! Looking at the kittens AND having the TDK community around me in the virtual world!
Good to have you here CatRancher. Hang in there….
CatRancher I’m sending you the healing white light. Close your eyes and feel it surround you. It is filling you with love, strength and peace.
*adding my energy to that*
And even more from me. And a tiny extra bit of good news to take you through the day..Everyone remember Bo? He’ll be traveling to Austell this Friday to take up permanent residence with yours truly and the hubby. What would everyone think if we named him Boba Fett and he kept the Bo part? Much gratitude to Brittany for her wonderful care and Ginger and her rescue group for sponsoring him.
Wow, Sharon! That is so cool….Bo is one lucky kitty! Adopted by a TDK’er…Bo will have the good life!
I am shedding tears of happiness that sweet Bo is going to a furrever home. Bless you and hubby for taking him in. He will repay you ten-fold with years of love!!!!!!! Keep us posted on how he adjusts to your family.
You mean how spoiled he becomes?
I’m so excited!! That’s wonderful of you Sharon!!
Congratulations to little Bo. He is such a handsome and lucky boy! And I like the name, too. Such wonderful news on a dreary day. Perked me right up! 3 cheers for Bo!!!
Amy, Ginger tells us that Little Bo is a 15 pounder. I was going to fly him back with the hubby and they didn’t think he’d fit in a carrier.
Your husband or Bo?
Probably husband. The domesticated American Husband generally is not good at traveling and will generally try and mark new territories as he goes. Territorial marking behavior can increase during travel if the male see another male that he perceives and a threat to his dominance
While this can generally be controlled through either liquid medication or the use of visual distractions in the form of certain magazines, you want to be very careful not to combine the two lest he become excited and begin to attempt the ‘drunken mating ritual’ which includes quite a bit of loud noises and expressions of affection.
Cat on the other hand can be given some treats and catnip and they’re fine
You have been studying the male behavior and have it down pat. You are one funny guy with a biting wit and a bawdy look at life.
Congrats Sharon! I’m so HAPPY for you and Bo!
Sharon that is fantastic news for you and for Bobolicous.
Susan, just for that we will call him Gummy Bear!
YAY - that is so heartwarming to hear about Bo. Kiss him for me.
I promise.
Sharon–that is fantastic! You’ve made my day! We’ve been so concerned for Bo. Now we know he’ll have a beautiful, loving home. You and your husband are wonderful! Oh, and he will be arriving Easter weekend!!
Wow–very cool.
AWESOME!!!!! I had asked about him last week and his caregiver responded that she had a place for him that looked very good. I am so happy for you both!!!! Give Bo some snuggles for me!
How marvelous! I’ve been wondering if he had a home yet!
Dee just told me!
Wonderful news. If you guys remember I was the who introduced you so I hope I can be Auntie Eva
Oh Good Lord! I am so tired I can’t write my own name.
That is Evangeline aka Eva
Then Auntie Eva you shall be! And everone here will be honorary godparents. After all, as the hubby says, it takes a pride to raise a kitten.
Ginny, Susan, Chester and all my other Ga threads, here’s a 6 degree separation for you…the lady who’s covering the second half of Bo’s trip from Nashville to here is coming to visit her parents in Powder Springs about miles down the road from us. This world keeps getting smaller by the minute.
Instinct, what do you think of Bo becoming Boba Fett?
Make that 6 miles away.
Oh, am so glad you saw this post! I am so honored. Bo is an absolute sweetie pie and God Bless you for taking him
I think it’s a great name for him
Now you just have to get him the little kitty helmet and jet pack….
Wonderful news, Sharon! You are a good person to take in Bo. Many blessings, hugs and purrs upon you for taking him in. May you have many wonderful years with your new furry friend.
I’ll pass that on to the hubby, darlin’. It was all his doing. We look forward to Bo joining our motley crew.
I’m feeling it, Elene….thank you! and Rosie and Sharon, too!
Awesome… and here comes some more! Can’t have too much love and light
I’ve been away mostly the last couple of days, but I have been following your troubles lately, CatRancher. Just wanted to say how sorry I am for you and that I wish you the best. Stay strong and Bless you for being such a lovely person with so much love to share.
CatRancher,
Sending you lots of comfort and a big hug. I’d like to dedicate the song “In the Arms of an Angel” by Sarah McLaughlin ( I think), to you in your time of need. I heard it a few times and think it sounds so pretty. Again, I’m so sorry for the loss of your beloved Freddy and for your mom’s health.
That is one of my favorite songs by one of my favorite artists…as a matter of fact I have two of her CDs loaded in my car CD player now… You picked the perfect song, Renee…thank you!
You are welcome CatRancher.
Cat rancher, it’s coming from so many of us. You’re an important member of our community, and we feel your pain. My dad passed almost four years ago, in hospice, but it’s never easier because you know what is coming. There will be peace for you, and your mom. Spend the time you have together with love.
Hi CatRancher! It’s nice to see you posting. Sending more prayers and positive energy your way.
I am supposed to travel again for work next week and be gone from the evening of the 10th to the evening of the 13th! I do not want to go…..the thought of leaving again has me ill. The threat of my Mother passing while I am gone is real, and, it may be irrational, but I’m afraid another of my kitties will die. AND I’ll be flying back on Friday the 13th ~ I don’t know what to tell them here at work…but this is causing me so MUCH stress!
Can’t you just tell them that you need to be with your mother as much as possible right now. Wouldn’t they understand your need? Just tell them you could never forgive yourself if your mother passed and you weren’t there with her.
CatRancher, if they can’t understand your need for time off then I would say it is time for you to either take a leave of absence, or find a new job.
Your family is the most important thing you have and should never be put in second place. Any job that asks you to do that is asking far too much and doesn’t deserve your loyalty
I am sorry for what you are going through right now. I’m really lousy and offering condolences - I guess because I have never had to go through it myself and words always seem pretty pathetic at this time, but for what it is worth I wish there was a way I could make it better
Thank you, Instint…I’m going to tell them that I just can’t do it. I don’t think they’ll have a problem with it…if they do, tough, they can fire me!
CatRancher, I agree with Instinct most whole heartedly. When my cat Whiskers was dying and I called in sick to be with her they told me to bring her in to work. I figured that if they were such insensitive people to suggest that…that I was better off without the job and called in told them that I was quitting. No job is worth not being there for your mother as she is passing.
CatRancher, I have been keeping up with your saga (I’ve been doing a lot of lurking lately, but I’ve been here) and I am so sorry about your beloved Freddy and the health of your mom.
I will send as much good energy as I can your way. Hang in there, we care.
Thank you Huddy’s Mama~ sometimes I think that the only energy I’m running on is sent from somewhere / someone else!
Try telling them the truth. Your mom is on her deathbed, and you need to be there for her now. That is enough, they don’t need to hear about Freddy, they probably wouldn’t understand.
If anyone is entitled to enact FMLA (Family Medical Leave Act its you
See your HR director
What a sweet girl….
I’m wondering if there are any fellow TDKers in the western Detroit suburbs who can recommend a good cat sitter? We are headed to Spain in May and I would like a sitter to come in a couple of times while were gone. My husband wants them to be insured and bonded and he’s kind of leary about having someone he doesn’t know in the house, so any recomendations would be helpful…. I’ve collected a couple of names from Petsitter Intl. and am going to call our vet, but wondered if anyone had any one they use. We’re gone for 11 days and I REALLY don’t want to kennel our four little heathens.
Thanks in advace!
Amy
Hm, I do a lot of cat and dog-sitting, and stay overnight with the fuzzbutts, but I’m in South Florida
