Orange cats can be femaletoo. I had one years ago. Does anyone know if Siamese cats can have orange/amber eyes? Someone told me they can but I’ve only ever seen blue eyes on siamese kittys. Am really wondering about this.

Mina-Unless I am mistaken, siamese all have blue eyes. Orientals have eyes of other colors and sometimes will be cross bred with the meezers.

Not from there, but I lived in Seattle and Spokane for a bit when I was younger.

My hubby was born outside of Spokane! And now I have a friend who has moved to that area and has just opened a slot car business/racetrack or whatever you call it.

Hi, I’m new to the site, love all the kitties. Right now I’m from CA (San Francisco Bay Area) but by fall will be in Spokane WA. Hubby needs out of the rat race here so we are heading back to where he is from. Have 3 kitties, Sunny 12, Pepper 5, Coconut 10 months and dog Shasta almost 3. We lost our old girl, Panda 18, in Sept along with the bunny in Nov. As a pet owner the hardest thing is that final goodbye but i know I’ll see them all again.

Hey kitties4deb, I am in the SF Bay Area and know what you mean by the rat race here. It has gotten from being a nice place to live to everyone here having the “me mentality”. If my husband found a good job elsewhere in the US, I would consider moving as well. I hear Spokane is a good place to move to. Not sure about the job market there but the real estate is a lot more reasonable. Sorry you lost your Panda girl and your bunny but as you say, you will see them again when it is time.

I’ll be out there in a few months for school (My wife and I are both going for our masters) but once we have graduated we both want to move as far away from California as possible - it’s just to crazy there.

Hey Instinct, if I get a job with Kaiser Permanente, I am going to look into transfering elsewhere after a year or so. California is too crazy now. Too expensive too. I want to be able to own a house and that isn’t possible in SF Bay Area unless you can afford a house in the $600k and above. You need a CEO’s pay to be able to afford a house. Unless I inherit a house from a family member, I do not see myself being able to buy a house here in Calif.

I love how friendly everyone is, thanks for the warm welcome! We are semi-retiring, my hubby has a part-time job to help pay the bills till we make our move. Almost have the house ready to put on the market. Once we move have several options for income but no jobs waiting.

Pride is such a cutie, my daughter wants a marmalade someday.

Bo will join 4 seniors, cats: Rasputin, Amelia and Ginny; Pomeranian Rusty who is large (15 lbs like Bo) and is deaf and almost completely blind and doesn’t realize he isn’t 2 any more. We’re also hoping to adopt another catster baby up for adoption. Her mommy contacted me today with a positive response. Miss Kitty is in Colorado.
At one time I had (between a daughter and dad who were away and ours) : 13 cats, 4 dogs, 3 gerbils, 2 betas and a blue tarantula named Callahan. Our numbers have dwindled.

So sorry about your tailbone injury I know how painful that can be. I fell in the garage and laned with my back against the door and my legs up so I was in a perfect V. My friend kept telling me to go to the ER I said what for they cannot put my butt in a sling. I couldn’t sit for months it was either lie or stand.

I have got to proof read and then hit the send button. The word was suppose to be landed - sorry.

I wish mine was more dramatic… I was sitting on the floor in what we call the ’split chicken’ position… knees bent toes pointing backwards. I was ‘circling around’ experimenting with how far back I could go. Got pretty close to the floor… getting up was the issue :D. The following day I bent over to pick up a 10 lb dumbbell and twisted just the wrong way. That did it! I have had a previous tailbone injury from playing hockey…. it all adds up. The worst part is… I’m a hula dancer! And for now I can’t dance! I can barely get in and out of my car!
And for those who asked… my birthday was yesterday

That’s why you go down to the convenience store and use their microwave instead. *giggles behind hand*
