This is Fergie on her second night in her new home. We rescued her from the local Humane Society where she was found at a business next door. She is now eight months old and has me wrapped around her paw.

Awwwwwww…such a sweet little snuggler. Hurray for you for adopting her!
(quietly slips up behind Chey, Aeryn and Kizzy and opens backpack to give Fergie some petting right between the ears and under the chin)
Happy Easter to those who celebrate it!
Its amazing how fast they can wrap you around their little paws. My Molly was orphaned at 4 weeks and had me wrapped about her paws that first night home when she snuggled up and looked adoringly at me after I fed her–its been that way ever since she is almost 7
What a sweet girl! Tabbies are so cute. I love her color and that velvety fur.
I also love that expression. She looks like she’s saying ‘I am not scared of you!!! I snuggle here - wait your turn!’
I agree, tabbies are adorable!! I actually hve two of them called Minu, and Nugget, i sent them in, but they didn’t show up yet, i hope you guys like them!!
I love her markings! Princess Fergie is a heart stealer.
(Spoken as Bo in his second day here is chasing something up and down the hall sounding like a herd of elephants) Guess he’s making himself right at home.
It’s good to hear that you have Bo home and he is settling in, it doesn’t take them long. Kitties can make a lot of noise when they romp around the house, we lived in a townhouse and were worried about the neighbors so we asked them if we made too much noise for them. The answer “we never hear the humans but the cats sound like a herd of elephants going up and down stairs”. We had two, Morris and Fuzz Louise, they would race up and down the stairs.

Sharon…this is Pam, Brittany’s mom, Bo’s former foster grandmom and bed partner :)…I am so glad that you have taken him…is he sleeping with you? and are you getting any rest? As soon as I would come to bed at night, he would be on the bed with me and near me the entire night. He is a 15 pound weight on those blankets at night! Give him a chin scratch for me..I actually am missing the big boy just a bit.

We will rest when he quits playing scientist. Waterbeds are neat to walk on and it makes a different sound to jump onto mommy’s Persian carpet than to land on Daddy’s wooden floor and how many jumps to reach the top of the four-poster headboard?
I’ll give him a big hug and kiss from his grammy. I know he misses you, too…when he isn’t beating up dustbunnies!

Domino and Taffy would charge down the hall like a thundering herd with the bell and tag clanking so I knew they were coming. Domino was 22lbs but Taffy made just as much noise and he only weighed 9lbs.
Isn’t it wonderful that Bo has healed and able to run.
Is there any feeling sweeter or more purely loving than an animal resting it’s head on you as a sign of affection, trust and commitment? If there is, we have yet to find it
My kitten would hide still on the second day at home…at least then I knew where she was…now she could be hiding anywhere…
This little girl Fergie..you got a cuddler on your hands. Even when we are wrapped in their paw I don’t think any of us would change it. I love spoiling my kitty.
Got a source for this? I’ve heard claims like this many times, and they’re never substantiated. China has some serious human rights and culture issues, and I don’t much like them, but this has a wild-eyed and scaremongering ring to it. Please back this with sources.
Sadly, this is true. Many, many years ago on HBO there was an animal documentary (I forget the name or title) and it was in an Asian country (I want to say Vietnam). It showed a man with a cat. I actually started to type out what he did but I will spare you the gruesome details. After 20+ years of seeing that, it still haunts me. I have seen what humans do to cats. I have also heard that that practice is not isolated to just Vietnam but many Asian cultures.
Yesterday, I watched the cat championship show on TV, but those cats, though pretty, don’t hold a candle to Fergie and all the other rescued kittens on this site.

Happy Easter to everyone that celebrates it! Happy beautiful Sunday to the rest of the world! Fergie looks like she is totally at home and comfy. Sharon, so glad that Bo stampedes down the hallway, my horde does that on a regular basis and it is still wonderful to hear, lol.
I had to work today. My Perry is at the vets. He was acting strange last night before I went to bed. He was licking his tummy and growing and hissing. A few minutes later he came up on the bed with me and I touched his body all over to see if he was in pain. He licked my hand and purred. I had to be at work at 7am and here it was almost 2am. We went to sleep and I was awaken by him making noise in the corner of my room, so I called the vet right away and off we went. Good thing it is just down the road. I was so upset I was shaking so badly! Poor baby!
The vet left a meaage on my cell while I was at work and said he has pain meds, IV fluids and has blood in his urine. No crystals though. He has to stay until tomorrow. His kidneys are in the safe range, but the high end, so that isn’t good. Maybe this is why he has been so clingy to me lately.
My daughter’s cat, Oliver Twist, was running around here this morning crying and looking for Perry and was all upset, my daughter told me. Awwww…. Those two do love each other. I told her that is why I won’t separate them. So, that is my Easter present…a huge vet bill!!! But, thank God he is okay and the problem is fixable.
Hi Bumblebee, ……lots of prayers and get wells going out from former Pennsylvanians here in VA…….hope it’s not from the tainted food….we’ve decided that even though the soft food we give Lady and W.H. aren’t on any recall list we’re going to stop feeding it to them until all this horrible mess is over. It’s going to be dry food only and maybe a treat of chicken, beef, or pork scraps until we know that all canned food is safe.
Hi Kathy,
Thank you for the prayers……..
My cats did not eat canned food. Only Iams dry and then I bought Newman’s Own Organic dry food for them.
Perry had a UTI a year or two ago too. He will be 11 on May 5th. I think the vet said he has Urinary Sistitis?
That’s a good idea to feed only dry right now.
My “adopted by choice” Mom and Pop lives in VA too. Richmond area. They moved there in May. I miss them so much. I spent all the holiday dinners with them. Their daughter and I went to school together, and I just love her mom, so started calling her mom, etc. My daughter calls her Grams. Her daughter and hubby live there with them also.
My daughter’s boyfriend has a best frind that lives there too! What a small world. Where in Pa did you used to live???

This fellow Pennsylvanian feels for you. (Chester county)
BB, so sorry you and Perry had such a bad morning and glad to hear it isn’t the food making him ill. Also sorry you had to work on Easter, what a bummer.
I had a nice Easter. Went over to Abbottstown and had dinner with my son’s soon to be in-laws. It was our first meeting and I liked them very much. Nice to know he is marrying into a nice, very down to earth family.
BTW -> I think Bobbie Boo went into heat today! Looks like we won’t be having a litter running around. I am both relieved and a little disapointed, but at least I can now get her spayed sooner rather than later.
BumbleBee…I am praying for Perry! Please keep us posted on how he is doing. You are such a good Mommie to know that something was wrong…you know your babies and you did the right thing! My prayers also go out for you and your family — it’s so hard when they are sick.
Bumblebee,
So sorry to hear Perry is sick. I’m sending good thoughts and best wishes to the both of you. I hope he gets to feeling better soon. Hope you are doing ok. I know you’ve had back problems.
McKenzie went through something like that about two months ago, but after some medical treatment and a change in food (this wasn’t recall related) he has been just fine. The fact that you took him to the vet right away will help him recover faster. I hope he feels well soon.
Thank you to all my dear TDK friends and support group. You are all so special! I am so touched to have so many of you praying and caring for us. Awwww……. Thanks for the sweet and loving posts. Bless each of you! Awwww…..
Fergie is definitely a snuggler. She is one of the most affectionate kittens I have had. When we saw her at the Humane Society the employees there were calling her “Fergalicious” and she is most definitely that and more. More times than not she is more entertaining (chasing and playing with her adopted sister, also from the Humane Society) than watching TV.
Hey Tazzy, Thank you for sending in her picture to TDK. She sure is a QT Pie and enjoyed seeing her. Made my Easter! Many years of happy PURRS and head bonks to you both!
When fergie’s tired she’ll roll up in mommy’s lap and make the CUTEST purr i’ve ever heard! Although she’ll just be rechargin her batteries because as soon as she gets back up she takes a bite then heads over to the scratching post (with little kitty toys hanging from it) and start playin the night away.
I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter! This kitty is so cute. I just love tabbies with white. Especially the little white inverted V’s on the face. So cute.
Your baby is precious. People who don’t have a cat just don’t get it. They can be so sweet and cuddlie that they melt your heart. Best wishes to your kitty and your family.
all my life i have heard the phrase ‘a good thing falls into your lap’, i think this is a perfect example.
she looks like a snuggler. hope you enjoy each other.
she is a darling little girl…..i have always felt that rescued kitties know who have taken them in and the devotion will always be there……on both sides…..thank you for adopting her…..there is a special place in heaven for all who do this…..i wish a loving home for every kitty out there……i adore my four rescued little ones….
Fegie is soo cute she needs to come over and see the rest of her family.

I love her markings! Princess Fergie is a heart stealer.

Glad to hear Bo is settling in. Isn’t it funny how some cats can make so much noise when walking, and others are as silent as a butterfly.
I hope he develops that kind of grace. He’s one year and 15 lbs!
Wow! Bo is a big guy now. Well, you can forget the grace part…
Luckily there are lots of other reasons to love and cherish them.
You are an angel.
Bo has found his home. Sharon you are an angel.
