ha ha it’s tuxedo week!! keep these gorgeous little guys coming!!!
I was about to say the same thing. Is it Prom Week??
Ha ha ha, that’s a good one!
For a minute I thought it was a family reunion for yesterdays little girl Sophie I believe.
Almost first (story of my life!). Happy Sunday–love this cat and his name!
Those eyes say mischief, of corese they di it’s a kitty!
Soooooo cute.
Such a pensive expression. He’s probably thinking up some kind of mischief. Nice forepaws. Fine whiskers. Neat tux. Lady killer.
Can I please pet him? He’s absolutely adorable!!!!
**kiss his little nose**
Another super cute tuxedo! I don’t care what my husband says, our next pet will be a tuxedo kitten. Just too cute!
Could it be the number of pets your hubby objects too or is it just cute kitties? LOL Tuxies are just adorable, I agree with you though I usually fall in love with brown tabbies. Must be the wild face expressions and the cute camo.
Such a sweet fuzz butt
Those paws! I want to fuss those little paws! Gorgeous little fuzzy
WOW five adorable Tuxies in 3 days; where was the formal affair? Munchie and Max, my two who are always dressed for those special events, are very put out that they weren’t invited.
Another sunny, warm day here in Pennsylvania. I’m loving it. Hope everyone will have a great “sunshiny” day.
Still no signs of the injured one. Went hunting for him this morning but no luck. Will continue my patio watch for another day.
Went to happy hour yesterday and saw all these highschoolers dressed up (for prom). Perhaps all the tux’s we have seen the last couple of days is in honor of “Prom season”
Don’t give up, Elene. You’ll get him, if anyone can. Keep the faith.
Elene, it sounds like you have lots of experience with ferals, so maybe you can help. I’m sitting here with a dilema right now because the park where I go to walk has a feral/stray community. Lots of evidence that people are feeding them, but I don’t know if anyone is doing TNR with them. People have also left shelters and straw for them. This morning I went to check on them all after my walk, there were 6 tiny kits in one of the shelters. I’m thinkin 5-10 days old. No sign of mama then but when I went back later, she was close by(clearly she hasn’t been trapped fixed and released!!). Also when I went back the count was down to 3 kits…could be several reasons for that. So….since there IS a mommy, do I leave them where they are at?
Wow!!! First if the count was down to 3 from 6 she may be moving them because she saw you there and got nervous. It could also be predation.
You have to leave them with mother unless she stops taking care of them. Since she has nurtured them this far she will most likely continue unless something happens to her. If you spot the mother again try to see where she goes so you can find the new shelter.
Any TNR will have to wait until the babes are weaned. What I have done with litters that I know location of is to wait till they are about 6 or 7 weeks old and I sit by their nest area with a feather on string, some tasty nibbles, gloves, and large carrier. I lure them out and grab them one at a time. It sounds young to take them, but any older and they have become to skittish.
Renee this is how we got Sox. The feral mom was moving her babies and left him. He was left in an engine block for 24 hours. He was a mess. Even with the outcome of death at 9 months I would take him in again! If there are any left after she moves them, and you have to give her time, pick up what is left with the knowledge they could be sick. I hope she moves them all like Elene said. Please tell us the outcome of this–I am very curious with feral cats now. I don’t think I ever thought that whole groups could be wiped out by disease–but it happens, and there seem to be more feral cats then there are caregivers.
I got my kittens when they were days old, their eyes were still blue. If you have the time to hand feed, you can take them now, but don’t neuter mom until they are old enough to go with out milk, spaying stops the milk production because it removes the ovaries. Sox’x mom is right watch mom and see wher she’s moving them. If you see her there with only three then you know predation or male interference is involved. A rival male will “dispose” of another’s offspring in order to trigger esterous in the female so he can mate with her.
Have faith, girl! I hope he(?) comes back tonight.
BTW, what about your neighbors? Did you say there were another cat lover in the neighborhood or do I think about somebody else? It would be a lot of easier if they could at least tell you where they’ve seen him.
I’ll wish you success and good luck.
PS. There is a warm sunny day too. And things HAVE been improved at my home. Today my girl sniffed my boy and nothing happened. No hissing, no scratching - she just backed away gracefully and the boy let her go. It made me happy in a silly childish way, maybe they eventually make friends with each other.
Miu, I can’t remember when you introduced a new cat to your family. Is the boy or girl the new addition?
Whenever our fuzzies do something good or funny it makes most adults “happy in a silly childish way.” Besides, it is so nice to feel childish now and again.
No I don’t have other cat lovers around me. Wish I did. I have to keep what I do for the cats very hush-hush. It is against all my community’s rules to feed cats outside. Would love to be able to discuss the issue and show them how I have decreased the population with TNR (Trap/Neuter/Return), but can’t bring it up or they may discover what I am doing.
The boy, Hipsu, is the new one. He moved in in the March 1st. The girl, Misu, had been ‘the only one’ for 4 weeks and 2 days.
I am sorry about your situation. I don’t know any cat people in real life either but nobody has held my affection against me. At least not in front of me. And nobody can harm my fuzzies now where as your foster children live in a constant danger.
Your and the kitties’ lives would be so much better if your neighbors would open their eyes to see how valuable your work really is. Is there no way to influence on them? I really hope things work out.
I send tempting vibes for that injured kitty. I hope he lets you catch him soon - maybe his eye can be saved too.
Reminds me of my moms cat, Bean, but with shorter hair. So cute!
What was that FuZzZzZz
Good Morning TDKer’s and their fuzzbutts and dogs too.
This is such a cutie pie I am partial to tuxedos but love all kitties.
Funny video:
http://emuse.ebaumsworld.com/video/watch/18862
This link sent me to a site trying to sell “Error Safe” software - just thought I would share that with you.
And LOVE the kitten to pieces!
I got the video site but the screen was black-heard the dog, but saw nothing.
very persistant dog. Site worked for me.
Worked for me too!
Wow, that was one persistent dog and one brave kitty!
Love tuxedo kitties! Love them all *sigh*
–evangeline in montreal— Hi. I took a peek at your catster profile. I’ve got to say that your video of Sydney Rose was so precious it brought tears to my eyes. She’s just gorgeous! You must be proud.
Thank you susie. The video clip of Sydney is my first effort with a new camera. I wanted to edit but the windows software defeats me.
I confess I am proud of my babies My Sydney Rose is also on youtube. In just a couple of days over a hundred people looked at it. Boggles my mind
I enjoyed Sydney Rose’s pageon catster. Love her nose! Just went to Wally’s page too. Is he still eating Hill’s? I think some of the Hill’s prescription food has been recalled. I don’t know if it includes the Duck and Pea variety. Might be worth checking into. Purrs and prayers to you and your kits.
Sydney Rose’s video is adorable. The look on her face is classic.
Kitten Whisperer thanks for thinking of Wally. The recall has not touched our lives - yet. I do live in fear
Oh. I had no idea. i am so sorry to hear about Wally. My thoughts are for the both of you.
I’ve been meaning to ask about Wally. I know you went to see a new vet. How is it working out?
Thank you for asking Elene about my Wally. You guys are so nice you bring tears to my eyes. Especially since I mostly lurk but I do check out every baby kitty.
It’s difficult to judge how Wally is. He makes the most awful sounds ( possible gas pain) He is all bloated from the prednisone (although we have cut down 50%) He sleeps much more than Sydney who is a year older. I wish he could talk because I am really not sure about the quality of his life. He breaks my heart. I love him so very much.
I’m sorry to hear about handsome Wally. I wish I could say something that would make you feel better. I so hope he recovers and you wouldn’t have to make the ultimate decision. Take care and give him a kiss for me.
I’ll keep Wally in my thoughts - hope he recovers.
Thanks for your support. It is greatly appreciated.
There is no recovery for IBD
Living with this means drugs that are hard on a cat’s system.Drugs that will lead to complications and a shorter life.
Without it there is no life at all. I think this what they call caught between a rock and a hard place
I’m sorry to hear that
I know how hard predisone is on a human’s body - hate to think how it must be to a kitty. *hugs* for you both
Evangeline I am so sorry to here about Wally. Your love and treatment will be right. You love him best, and you will make all the decisions for him. You have my prayers and warmest wishes that the time that you have with him is filled with beautiful memories that you can carry forever.
Poor Wally and poor you. It’s so hard when there isn’t an obvious right decision. Hugs for you and chin scritches for him.
The site worked for me too. I do know that video is also on Youtube. .
That’s one cool cat! It’s a shame the dog used dirty tricks. ;(
FondaHonda–that was hysterical!
It was on msn dot com Friday. The cat in the video looks an awful lot like my late cat Spanky. It tickled me because I have a Shih-tzu (who thinks he’s part cat) and 2 cats (1 who thinks he’s part dog) and they play like this all the time. I’m extremely lucky that all 3 of my pets love each other so much.
what a cute cute little baby
ahhhh, a Skid Row fan? he’s adorable!
wow.. I’m actually on time for once. Usually I get on either really early in the morn or really late at night and miss all the good conversation. Has anybody read the “Warriors” series by Erin Hunter? She is a cat lover and all her books are about cats. Check them out on Amazon.com She has some great cat names. She is working on her third series now. I bought them in paperback- cheaper that way. Happy Sunday everybody!
I haven’t read those books, although will look out for them now
The only cat books I’ve read are “The cat who…” series
(Oh plus one about talking cats which I hated so much I threw across the room in frustration - first and only time I’ve done that with a book!)
I enjoyed a couple of “The Cat Who…” books too. Right now I’m reading “Chicken Soup For The Cat Lover’s Soul” This book requires tissues…
Hi Jadete, thank you for the recommendation. I don’t get to read much anymore but I will look these up. I know there were numbers of TDKers who were looking for some new authors.
Glad you made it at gab time, although Sundays are usually slower than weekdays. I should be working in the garden but am doing patio watch for an injured stray and don’t want to scare him off.
good luck with the stray… I’m going to work outside today too. Its going to be 77 degrees today here in TN! Gonna plant some strawberries… yum
I’ve read the first series of ‘Warrior’ books and really enjoyed them. The books are for young teen readers but I enjoyed them anyway. (I’m 43 years young.) I’m gathering the second series so I can read them all they way through. Paperbacks are the way to go for me too.
Yesterday the conversation was on ferals and feral colonies it reminded me of ‘Warriors’. Here’s the website.
http://www.warriorcats.com/content.html
I’ve also read ‘The Cat Who…’ series a couple of times. I think there are about 30 books all together.
I love the “Warriors” series!!! I read the first one at one fell swoop and then I had to wait while the second one is coming out book by book in paperback (I’m up to the fourth one and waiting for the fifth). I went to the “Warriors” website and found out that Erin Hunter is actually two women! They live in different states but still write together, which I thought was pretty cool.
Interestingly enough, I do not like the “Cat Who..” series. There is not enough of the cat and the human characters are not engaging enough to hold my attention. I DO really like the “Joe Grey” series, by Shirley Rousseau Murphy, which involves talking cats. I am extremely engaged by that series.
I might have to try the “Cat Who…” series again, give it another try-
I am always on the look out for a good book, and one with cats makes my day. I read all the cat mysteries and love them.
Cutie! He looks so round like a roly poly ball! i want to hug him.
What a little snuggly baby! i just want to hug him!
If I remember correctly, the British call the black and white kitties “magpies.”
Not heard that term for kitties before - but we do call black-and-white horses piebalds (and other colours and white skewbald)
Hello, Am
I had a much better night’s sleep this morning. I followed your advice and cuddled Digit close when she wanted to play at 4:00a.m. She settled right down. Maybe that’s what she wanted all along! Thanks.
So glad to hear that!
That is great news that Am’s advice worked so well so quickly. Just never know what will produce the desired results. That’s why this site is great, we get multiple suggestions and can try any or all until something works.
Thanks, Elene. The sense of community and warm support so freely shared on this site keeps me coming back!
I love the white whiskers!
Bazy is so cute. He’s got quite a load of whiskers! He looks like he’s planning some kitten fun.
It’s rainy here in California. Glad to hear the sun came out on the East Coast. Enjoy your day in your gardens.
Elene in York-I hope the hurt kit comes to you porch again. I admire you greatly for the time and care you give the kits.
Tuxido Max lol.
He is cute!
Such a cute baby, and ready for anything … morning all >^..^
I hope my little tux girls get picked to be on here, but if you want to see them just look for them in piwackets family at the bottom of his page with the link on my name.
they are SOOOOO cute!
How Cute!!! Just curious–how did you get the moving hearts on your Catster page?
Your little tux girls are very cute. Hope to see them here too.
Bezerky is such a neat cutie! He has very beautiful markings - just look at his socks! And I can’t recall whiskers more gorgeous than his. He’ll become a lady killer for sure!
I’ll take both Sophie and Bezerky at my place for a few hours. We have a nip party and maybe a slumber party too. But don’t worry they’ll be back in no time.
Another adorable perfect tux. It seems like all tuxes are lover boys (or girls). Belly rubs to Sebastian.
another beautiful tux. 3 days on a row, always had a soft spot for the tux kitties even though i dont have one now, the new feral that showed up is a black and white tux and got a good look at him lastnight he is a male so no worries about kittens he actually sat for a minute while i talked to him and didnt run.
Hi Athena,
Maybe the new boy isn’t feral, he could just be a toss away that has become somewhat leery of humans. I’ve caught a few that became pets because they weren’t true ferals. If he turns out to be adoptable you will have a tux.
Aww what a sweety
shes a sweety
Sweet Bazy! He’s all mcfluffersons — snrogles and pets to you!
Good morning, TDKers!
Bazy is a sweet looking kit. “I am kitten. Hear me roar!”
Berzerker fuzz!
Hi every body beautiful day in Warrior, Al. should be about 85 degrees today. My husband loves tomato’s so he has plante several plants today. I don’t care for them , but I peel them and make him sandwiches all summer long.
Today kitten is another cutie. Keep up the good work Kittenmaster.
Hope you all have a great day.
Hi,
I just wanted to thank everyone for their kind thoughts and prayers. I felt more at peace(thanks to the prayers) about what was going on.My family has mobilized when they realized what my “friend” was doing and we’re going to work together to solve this problem, thank God. I’ll probably move my folks to a senior condo where they can have a much help or as little help as they want. My family will be nearby to spell me and I hope to move into an older ranch house where they have a fence for my big lab and I can keep my kitties. Please keep me in your thoughts and thanks again.
That’s great! It’s always good to hear so good news. I’ll keep on sending positive thoughts to you.
Marsha, thank God for miracles and families. I am so happy for you. Sounds like a wonderful solution. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers that everything works out the best for everyone.
That sounds really promising - keeping you in my thoughts for a positive outcome
I was thinking about you today and wondering how things were going. I’m so glad your family has mobilized and helped find a solution that works for your parents and your kitties. Sending good thoughts that you’ll be able to move into the ranch house soon!
Great, great, great!!
That is so good, that your family stepped up! Prayers that all will continue to go your way. The house sounds great for you and all your babies!
Good to know your family is helping you with a solution. Sounds like things are working out. I was so upset to read your story. The TDKers are so supportive of each other. This is a great place!
Hi Marsha:
I don’t have a computer at home, so I was not aware of your situation until today, when I got into work. I was SOOO angry, I was just about to board a plane and go out there myself and fight with your “friend”, until cooler heads prevailed (my officemate) and I realized I didn’t even know where “there” might be.
All my public defender instincts came to the fore and I was ready to fight, fight, fight! I am so relieved that you are getting some support from the rest of your family. I will keep you in my thoughts and send prayers your way-
WHAT A CUTIE!!!!!!!!I wish I had one just like it!!!!!!!!!!!!
i’m sad…….

and happy
–Bretta,If your serious about ‘wishing you had one’, Ive got a beautiful black & white Tux whose looking for a forever home. He’s alittle older than Bezerky(9 mos. old). I’ve been calling him Naughty Boy cuz he put his sister in a motherly way. But he is the most loving beauty that I’ve come across in a long time. He’s longhaired-his mom is part siamese. He’s quite a chatterbox also.
i have two little girls that will be ready in 4weeks to adopt if you want a baby, bretta.
*sniff sniff*

I am so sad and happy-
We are giving away one of my puppies and thenI am happy b/c we are getting another puppy.
booo me!
