Pufi
Location: Bečej, Serbia
Pufi came to our family last June. He was very small and a bit ill, but the vet did his work and as you can see here he is completely satisfied. He’s taking a nap in his favourite armchair. Today Pufi is nearly a year old, he likes to check every garden in the neighbourhood and fights for his territory with the other cats he comes across.311 Comments »

You’re my kitty now… [evil laugh]
Awww, he looks so content.
What a sweetie! Cute little Pufi, please come and play with me for a little while!
that is the ugliest cat i have ever seen
There are no ugly kitties. He is sweet and precious!
Absolutley WRONG! It’s a beautiful looking cat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And I’m sure everyone else agrees with me! RIGHT?
Yep! I am especially fascinated by his big green almond eyes and those gigantic paws.
HOW adorable!!! He reminds me of my baby!
Don’t tell me I’m the first. Well, in any event, Pufi looks like the finest of fine friends. I hope that he will be neutered so that he will live a long and happy life and won’t bring into the world any number of cats who won’t be as lucky as he is.
Good luck with Pufi. I imagine he’ll be snatched into a number of back packs w.in the hour. There’s never too much love.
Hey TDK’ers..my husband has to have bowel resection surgery on May 9.
At least we now have a date for surgery. No cancer yet, but he’s got a benign growth that is growing and has to come out. I’m grateful for any kind thoughts and support you and your kitties would like to offer us. He will be home for about six weeks after the surgery, and our cats will love it! He’s already been home six weeks this year with a slipped disk. Hermes and he began to bond closer when he was home so much and Hermes wanted petting and Mommy wasn’t home (but Daddy was)!
Thoughts and prayers for a safe and fast recovery. My dad went through this thirteen years ago and has been great ever since. So I wish that for your husband! And Hermes will most definetly help speed his recovery. My fuzzbutts loves it when I was home for 8 weeks after knee surgery. They took turns cuddling and purring me back to health every day.
OBC, Where in CLW?
I lived in Countryside for 7 years, just a block from Useless 19.
A huge kitty hug and a lot of feline support going your way!
I’m sure he will be OK in no time.
Positive thoughts and prayers headed your way! Lots of kitty hugs too! Don’t forget to keep us posted….
Judy I will be praying for your husband and you. Thank God it is benign. I hope his recovery is swift and painless.
Much prayer and headbutts. Hang in there.
One human and two cats send healing thoughts and loving purrs. Kitties make the best nurses - once the doctors have done their jobs your kits will take care of the rest.
My babies took good care of me when I got out of the hospital. That’s why I’m convinced that they were Clara Barton and Florence Nightengale in a previous life!!!!
Judy, fuzzy kitty snuggles and warm wishes coming your way. As someone else said, thank God it’s benign! I wish him the safest surgery and easiest recovery possible! Glad he has the kits to keep him company at home!
Best wishes to you and yours. Although I can’t offer any more comfort than Hermes is bound to. Although Hermes probably won’t be very happy about the quick recovery all of us are praying for.
Many many good thoughts for you and your hubby. Possitive energy and prayers are on the way!
My thoughts and prayers go out to you!
Good thoughts, prayers, purrs and headbuts heading your way…
Sincere thoughts for the best of outcomes and recovery for your hubby. Think positive and stay strong. Kitties will love him being close to cuddle with, they always know when your feeling bad and show more love. Or are they just taking advantage of someone staying still to cuddle with. Haven’t quite figured that one out yet.
All good thoughts for it to be so successful that the only problem will be how to explain to the cats why he’s going back to work instead of staying home with them all day!
I think my Happy is still furious over me returning to work last May after 5 months off for hip replacement! She thought she had me where she wanted, for good. I wish she had been right
My prayers are with you and your family. Positive thoughts will hopefully bring about a positive outcome for you. Never forget the healing power of a feline!
Purrs and best wishes for a swift recovery from Furl, Digit and their mom!
Good wishes and prayers for your husband, you and his surgeon.
Prayers and positive thoughts coming your way for a speedy recovery of your husband.
Prayers and a fast recovery.
You’re in my thoughts, Judy (and Smokey sends some headbutts)
Judy–sending good thoughts to you and your family–keep the faith and keep us on top of the situation…
Judy, Best wishes to your Hubby for a speedy recovery! My family and I are sending you positive energy and prayers.
Judy,
Sending good thoughts to you and your husband.
I know you are both worried, but my husband had a similar surgery a year and a half ago, and he’s doing GREAT now. I’m positive yours will come through with a wonderful recovery, as well. Take care.
Warm thoughts and prayers for your husband’s surgery. I pray it will go well. Hugs and purrs.
Sending best wishes for a speedy recovery.
Pufi looks so content. I would be too, if I was next to him gazing at his awsome eyes.
can you believe we’re going up to 80 degrees today in NJ?
Wasn’t it a great weekend too! Love this weather. Don’t hold your breath though, it could snow again at a moments notice.
Yes, what a beautiful weekend! Shaddo found a sunny spot among the hyacinths (sp?) and the tulips that are starting to come up. Jiggs is just happy to be able to go out in the sun and chew on some grass.
Great name, Smellycatslaw, is it related to the song Smellycat?
I’ve been wondering that, too.
Looks so comfy! Luv the paws and sweet face.
Aren’t those paws huge? Wow, he’s a beauty! And those ears! I just want to love this guy! I can’t remember ever seeing such an exotic baby before.
Yep, they are. The kind i just luv to play! I like to rub and squish them!
I guess I have a paw fetish! Oh well, could be worse!

I kiss my kitties feet. They even just lay on me and put their paws on my lips for me to “Kiss’em toes” “I love the footsez” and all the other anoying baby talk. I have such a kitty toe fetish that I stamp every message with a pink cat paw print.
That’s cool! Hmmm, I wonder if there’s such a thing as a paw smiley?
Good Morning all! Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.
Pufi is one cute puff-fuzzbutt!! He looks very comfy there!
I called S&M Nutec, makers of the Pill Pockets and Greenies treats, they only use US wheat gluten so their products are safe. I’m so darn paranoid now when giving my boys anything, I’ve been calling all the 800 numbers on my treat pouches!!
Have a great day everyone! Oh! I brought cinnamon buns for everyone and mocha lattes……help yourselves!!
Thanks so much!!! Yum!!!
Yum. Thanks!
Oh, thanks! The buns and coffee smell so good and taste even better. I’ve started to look forward to these virtual coffee breaks. Can I have an other bun please?
Thank you! Not a coffee person, but I love cinnamom buns! Now that we’re all sugared and caffiened up, good morning TDKr’s - it’s a beautiful day here in Jersey. What a difference a week makes.
MMMMMMMM Thanks for the treat! Headbonks!
Ooh, my new espresso machine just arrived! I’ll have coffee drinks tomorrow.
I found in on eBay.
For you connoisseurs: stainless steel boiler, 18 bar pump, it’s a Briel
Congrats. Auntie MeezerMama! Hope you enjoy yours as much as I’ve enjoyed my Krups expresso machine over the years–it’s definitely the kitchen gadget that I’ve gotten the most use out of (I make one mean raspberry mocha!)

I replaced my old Krups with a used Briel and now am replacing my worn out Briel with a new one. I’m really excited.
The old Krups was an 8 bar pump, the old Briel was a 15. My hubby is in the kitchen making decaf lattes with the new one right now
Maybe he’ll add rum….yum
I love the name! What big ears to hear with!
Our cats tell my husband and I that we are their “staff”
;>)
The truth is that kitties like to be nurses…or they like the heat they suck up from our bodies…they’re (very cute) heat vampires…
My sweeties theory is that cats are heat to hair conversion units. They suck up heat and convert it to hair to shed….LOL…
(And make no mistake, he loves cats! )
Pufi is a doll…..
That’s fantastic! Good theory
HV forgot the extra step of cat food fueling the heat conversion units.
That’s it! Plus it takes a while to process all the heat absorbed from solar energy, which is why they often have to run around the house with their heavy boots on at night, if they absorbed a bit too much during the day and humans aren’t up and ready to absorb all the fur on their nice work clothing.
I love vampires of any kind. Love that term….heat vampires.
::::waiting for Great Dane to show up–I’ve been thinking about little Bob all weekend and hoping for good news:::
ME TOO…Great Dane-hows Bob ??????
YES! Where are you Great Dane…..we need our Bob update. I’ve been thinking about him all weekend….
Hi Everybody,
Thanks so much for asking about Bob!!! The vet called me on Firday afternoon, and disgussed things with me. He had just seen Bob on Monday, and said he’d looked well and he didn’t cry out when the vet squshed his kidney area. He said we can do blood and urinary tests, but that he’s probably okay now. I still may do it after I get my paycheck, though. Eventhough the tests are about $250, it would give me some piece of mind.
I kept an eye on Bob all weekend, and didn’t want to leave the house at all, just in case he wasn’t feeling well.
Well, he’s got a great appetite and drinks lots of water and he’s also being very playful. Last night we played with a feather and bell on a stick for an hour and a half before bed - I was the only one taking breaks!!!
I was afraid once he was done with his antibiotics he would feel bad again, but the vet told me that wasn’t likely to happen. He’s been on the antibiotics for almost 2 weeks now and has a few days worth left.
I’ll keep a close eye on him, and let all of you know how the poor little guy’s doing.
Thanks again for all your sweet words, thoughts and prayers, that means so much.
HOORAY!!! If he can play for 1.5 hours with a toy, I’d say he’s feeling TONS better. kisses and tickles to his chin for me.
That is SUCH a relief! Hurray for Bob.
So glad that you have some good news! Hopefully Bob is on his way to a full recovery.
Hurray for Bob! Such great news!! Lots of hugs and kitty kisses headed your way!!
Excellent news–sounds like Bob is out of the woods!
