Hey HM if GM hasn’t taken off with Bodhi can I stroke his furry little face. OH Oh and kiss his little black nose. I love coonies they are so cute. I want one and plan to get one as soon as I can move away from home. Parents well Stepdad said no cats. He has this conception they are dirty, lazy and take up space for a real pet. Instead of just eating and sleeping like cats.

And he has never ever had a cat his was a dog only family. UGH!
I wanna little Bodhi.

My son brought home a girl for my husband and I to meet. Her knowing that we had cats I asked her if she liked them. Her reply “No I don’t like cats I think they are evil and totally useless”. So much for her getting any extra brownie points. I just told her well you came to the wrong house and I silently thought alot of other things that I won’t repeat. He has since moved on from that girl. Thank goodness.

So true especially if you see furry kids don’t offend their parents. My feelings are if you don’t like animals I probably wont like you very much. Now if it is a good reason like allergies then I can be forgiving and feel sympathy. But evil ha! Cats are sexy, svelte, sleek, mysterious, a bit condsending, but, loving to thoughs who earn their respect and love.

I personally always had a cat until the last one Crystal (boy, didn’t know until it was too late and he was answering to that name. ;O)) we had to move to a place where we could not have cats, I was able to keep my bunny though outside. No pets in the house.
We found him and my rotty/lab female Christmas (born on Christmas) good houses. Well since then I have not had the love of a wonderful kitty, but I will have another one someday. And hopefully soon.

Hi Catrancher,
Sincere sympathy at the passing of your Mother. When my Mother passed away I kept remembering her love, faithfulness and courage. Mothers are golden roses who live as dandelions.
I have attached the poem I composed and dedicated to “ALL Mothers”

Dandelions and Roses
Dandelions much maligned, lilies of the field,
A pretty little flower
Whose roots are deep and will not yield.
Roses fragrant and beautiful to see,
Nurtured, cultured and cared for with TLC.

Mothers, roses who live as dandelions
Whose life they borrow.
Hidden from the light of day,
They do not judge, but share in our joys and sorrow.
Suffering in faith, loving us in their own heroic way.

A mother’s love, as the dandelion,
Whose roots too, will not yield.
A shadowy glimpse of the golden rose to be.
Hidden from view but one day all shall see,
And then will we be truly blessed be. . . .

My idea of roughing it is to go to a hotel that doesn’t have room service. Or one of the only lines from Joan Rivers I like is the only stars she wants to sleep under are Paul Newman and Robert Redford!

My brother used to have a 32 RV but it was too much to handle after the stroke. So now they have a smaller one easier to drive and set up. The RV was nice I went to OH with them and it was neat getting to go to the bathroom going 65 mph ! I didn’t mind camping in that RV as it sheets on the bed and a lock on the door plus a shower/bathroom. I love the great outdoors but at night give me a motel/hotel with amneities.

LeeAnne, right there with ya on the camping in a trailer. My parents and I go to Nevada every summer for 3 weeks and we take are dog. It is so nice to get away from cooking and grocery shopping. We stay at this little RV/Hotel/Casino place so we snack during the day and eat a hearty lunch at the Casino. I read and catch up on movies I’m missed seeing and just veg. I take Patches for walks and swims down at the lake. She doesn’t enjoy swimming too much but she loves running along the bank and snapping at the water. If I swim out too far she barks at me to come back in and will swim out part way. Since she is 13 now I stay close to shore so she doesn’t swim to far out.

She’s a funny thing.

Is everyon e else looking forward to Summer like I am?

Us too! June 4 will mark 30 years. I was a teen bride, I married at 19. I would NOT recommend that for everyone, it made affording college a lot tougher. Were I to do it again, I think I’d wait until I was out of college, just to ensure that you GET through. It took me seven years to get my BA, after I’d tested out of half of my general ed. credits, and gone to college full-time two years. I then worked full-time and took one class in fall, one in winter…great GPA, but boy, I thought I’d never graduate. I did though, and got a job working for the very university to whom I’d paid tuition :-) There IS justice in this world!
