This adorable kitten rescued my friend, Dawn, from a restaurant parking lot just a couple of weeks ago. Seems she was the last of an abandoned litter, but the restaurant employees couldn’t find a home for her (maybe because of the bad eye). She ran across the parking lot and literally jumped into Dawn’s arms. Dawn couldn’t leave her there, so she took her home. (The idea was to get her to a vet and then to find her a good home.) The vet couldn’t save her eye, and Dawn couldn’t give her up, so now she’s found her new home. She’s happy, playful, and the lack of an eye doesn’t slow her down one bit. Her name is Fiona, which comes from a Lyle Lovett song entitled, “My One-Eyed Fiona”. She hit the lottery the day she saw Dawn walk out of that restaurant.
