Odessa

This is Odessa, one of six stray kittens we rescued over the summer of 2007. This was taken in August when she was about four months old. While still outside, she walked right up to the patio door and peered in at me. I was so sure she was a little boy and wanted to call her “Otto”. However, I was wrong, so I changed her name to “Odessa” or just “Dessa” most of the time. Of all the kittens, she is the only long-hair, and is the most bashful. After living inside with us for nearly three months, she is finally making up to me, allowing me to pet and pick her up. Her tail is so soft and bushy my nose twiches when she swipes her tail under it. I think she will be a beautiful silver cat when she is fully grown. She is still not a hundred percent sure of me, but I am hopeful we will become best buddies very soon. I don’t regret bringing her inside at all!
