This is our new bundle of joy, Oscar. He was in foster care for the RSPCA before we got him and the lady put him on hold because she wanted to buy him. But after about a week and lots of unanswered phone calls from the RSPCA, they must have realised that the cute little kitten wasn’t wanted anymore. Then we came along. Me, my little sister & my big sister Danielle. We begged mum to get him and thankfully after Danielle agreed to pay for him, he was ours. When we picked him up about a week later he was the only one in the big lonely cage. It looked so sad and because he was such a pretty cat it was almost certain that if he hadn’t of been deaf then he would have been bought long before we came along. But anyway, he’s been getting along great with us (not so much with our other cat, but she’s handling it) and is great fun to play with. I don’t think him being deaf has made a difference in the slightest. In fact, i think it’s an advantage. It’s made him fearless. Even our big dog, joker cant’ scare him (maybe cause he can’t hear him). i think it’s sad that the lady put him on hold but didn’t ever pick him up, but it really was a good thing, considering the fact that the RSPCA usually put down cats that are deaf. Being on hold saved his life and gave us a new baby to add to the family, but the lady that did that will probably never know or even think about it…
