Of the hospital that is. Mom's heart rate has finally settled and is no longer going into a-fib at every little thing.
We are at HEB getting her scripts and she made it walking to the store but got tired and a bit dizzy when we got in so I got her a motorized cart. We are now waiting on the meds. Yay, can't wait to get home to my fur butts, well the dogs atleast. I am also having Buster withdrawls, I miss my huge mean kitty.

My cat, Dudur has been having a bulging stomach for sometime. I couldn't take him to the vet, because I was focusing on Joget (he just had a second surgery), and had no money for Dudur's treatments. I do save bit by bit, and am planning to bring Dur to the vet monday morning.

I understand that bulging stomach could mean a lot of things, but over the past few days, Dudur is turning more and more yellow. He could have turned yellow for awhile, but since he's solid black, I might not notice.

I was not utterly worried about him, because he ate well and pooped well. And he was still well this afternoon.

I went out for a few hours, only to come home to find him immobilized. He had thick drool all over his face, and he peed non-stop. I thought it was his time. I apologized to him for not being able to get him the treatment he very much needed, and moved him to a box, filled with warm clothes (he is cold)

I really thought he was going to die, because he was making these choking sounds. And I did wish him a speedy passing, because I didn't want him to suffer too long.

But after about 30 minutes, he settled down, and his breathing became regular again. I put 2 hot water bottles in the box to warm him up. One on his front, the other on his back. He lifted his head and hugged the one on his front, and even purred a little. He is now sleeping in the box.

What should I do now? Is it likely that he hangs on til morning? And if I do bring him to the vet, could he still be saved?

And what should I do in the meantime? Should I feed him any water/milk/honey?

Pls help me and Dudur to get through this... We will really appreciate any help or advice.
Thank you

Hi this is my very first time using windows movie maker. I need to make a video on cat abuse for a project at school, but I need help importing pictures from the internet. What I do is I go on google, get a picture, and paste it on word 2003. Then, I save it in "my pictures" file. But when I try to import my picture, something comes up and says "the file.c documents and settings/HP_administrator/mydocuments/moviemakerpictures/catpicture is not a supported file type and it cannot be imported into windows movie maker." My teacher said to save it as a picture, but how do I do that?? I tried everything, but nothing works. Does anybody have any ideas or advice?

Well, it's official. The US, the UK and NZ are in a recession. I know that lots of us are dealing with financial difficulties...some much more than others. But I bet that most of us are tightening up the purse strings. I thought it might be helpful (and fun!) to have a corner where we can post some of our favorite budget-friendly tips and ideas. Do you have energy-saving advice? Maybe a low-cost recipe? Any frugal tips involving pets? Post them here!

I will start it off with the latest Wal Mart freebies. The forms are very quick and easy to fill out and the products always arrive...and NO spam afterward! New offers are usually added every few days. For the freebies that you can't personally use, there is always a pet shelter that will accept the pet freebies and a women's shelter than will accept freebie baby products.

About 8 months ago, some people moved right across the street from us. I think they are renting. There is 4 adults(older mom, 2 males, 1 female) and 2 small children and looks like 1 teen. But I don't know if he lives there full time. Anyway, they do not work..no one leaves that house at anytime, they have one car for all of them. They keep to themselves, the kids are clean but the family is for lack of a better word "white trash". So we have noticed during this time that several cars will come to the house, a man will come out of the house, and either get in the car or lean over the window and the car backs out in about 30 seconds. Sometimes, people get out of the car and go to the house. Now we think there has to be drug deals. We have never seen anything pass between the people but it just doesn't feel right. This is a nice neighborhood, kids, people walk around, hard working families...this family is way different.
We were talking tonight and we know we would like to do something, but we don't know what. Do we call the police? We don't want them to know we contacted them though. Like I said, we have had no problems with them but I don't want a problem appearing and we are caught in gunfire, or who knows what. Can the police investigate without them knowing we called? I am afraid of retaliation. I don't know what to do.

We are in the middle of horrific thunderstorms and our 2nd tornado watch. Pray for the State of Florida! They are about 20 mi WNW of us and moving in a northerly direction but I don't want them touching down anywhere, just go out to sea and begone with them!

Dear Velvet,

It has been 6 months since I had you put to sleep. Your earthly body was worn out and I didn't want you to be in pain. I did the responsible thing and was with you to the very end.

I think about you every day. I know you are healthy and happy. I know you spend your days roaming about in grassy meadows with your friends, rolling in beds of catnip, hunting, and taking naps in the sunshine. I know you are well taken care of.

I also know that you keep an eye on Spice and me, watching what we are doing. And I know you visit me in my dreams once in a while. That is very nice of you.

I miss your soft fur and music-like purr. But someday my dear, you, Spice and I will be reunited forever along with all the pets I've had. I look forward to that day.

I am sure that Spice also misses you. She misses her roommate, friend, and fellow mischief maker.

I shall never forget you, my dear...

Folks, we really need to get used to tagging our topics. I know I am as guilty as anyone about not using this feature. But how often are we frantically searching for information we know has been discussed and cannot find it.

I suggest we establish some guidelines for basic and consistent tags to use and we can build a wealth of back links to gone but vaguely remembered information.

I'll start and you add and/or critique.

"Poop" We all know the "poop" tag.

"Rules" The little tricks and agreements to help smooth the fur for KM.

"SPA" Let's consistently use a "SPA" tag for the Spay and Neuter questions and concerns.

"Litterbox" This can concern the types of boxes, litter, training, problems.

"Orphans" For all the little rescues.

"Formula" All feeding issues.

"Colonies" All questions and answers about our kitties related to grouping. Feral or domestic. New intros and old friends.
