No attack here, WWM. On a tour we did through apple orchard country in WA State, our guide told us that the "organic" apple trees were still sprayed with pesticide, they just put little net baggies over each piece of fruit before they sprayed the tree. Duh!

I agree with you WWM. This whole organic thing is brought about to take money from people! By the way the definition for organic is carbon based. I like to shop at the Farmer's Market--local produce at a MUCH cheaper price--but it is the same stuff in a Whole Foods or Fresh Market. I stand with you WWM!

No attack here, WWM, I agree, you gave very good advice. Wash your produce, be proactive, you can eat what comes from the normal grocery stores. May take a bit more time, but worth the cost. Good advice.

*glances around to see who is here* GD, this is my nursing advice. Honey is honey... really. The process is the same. It's like, "Are organic oranges worth three times as much as regular oranges?". Um... no. Just follow good sound practices on eating and you will be fine. Organic has NOT been proven to be beneficial in the least. All it means is that it is more $$$$$.

I know... y'all go ahead and feel free to attack me but I will not back down off of this one.

I hate it! Thank goodness I have discovered the Fresh Market - I've gotten some good stuff there.
I will stop taking Advil, Motrin and the like - I think what caused this was excessive use before and after I had my wisdom tooth removed. I'm allergic to codeine so didn't want pain meds.
Think I'll continue taking the honey and probiotic yogurt/drinks to try to keep the stomach issues better controlled.
And by the way - haven't had coffee for three days now. Waaah!

Yeah, it bites, eh? I have the pictures of mine...pretty cool (or hot, actually)...haha! And I have really found that there is no rhyme nor reason to what makes it ache and burn and what brings on the nausea. It seems like it is usually anything high in fat...and that includes any type of oil and mayo. But, other times it has been plain fruits and vegetables. It's always exciting to play that Russian Roulette stomach game, isn't it? haha!

GD you really need to take the whole round of antibiotics. People that take them only until they feel better build a resistance that can cost dearly! Glad you are feeling better and the lab work was normal--that is the BEST news! Indelicate here but if you are ovulating your temperature goes up. It can be something as simple as that.

Kilroy they are obligated to give you a copy of your results. If they can not manage to get the doctor to give you the results, you can go and get a copy. It may be time to go and get a new doctor! One that actually cares for their patients!

I was so excited I didn't ask any other questions. Don't know why I was running a fever or feeling yucky, other than the gastritis, which sure made me feel sick enough.
I'm feeling better today on day three of the meds. Stomach's better but still bothering me a little. I still have a slight flush on my face but not as bad as it was.

It's awful, isn't it, Rubia? Not helping that the meds make me really, really nauseous - eventhough I take them with food.

I forgot to get Activia when I shopped yesterday, but I'll run in somewhere today and get it.

I had a good night with Glen - he was happy to see me - or maybe it was the left-over rotisserie chicken I brought? We played and he got petted and I finally gave him his last dose of the Zithromax. Can't believe how long that bottle has lasted!!! He was in and out of bed all night, but came running this morning when I turned the light on and snuggled in bed with me for a bit. Made it very hard to get up and go to work :)

I'm so sorry to hear that you are feeling so lousy! I can really sympathise with the gastritis - I am going through that right now myself. I must confess that I have not been totally good about not eating all the stuff the doc has forbidden. In any case, I do need to go back and have a follow-up.

JBBM and all are correct about the probiotics - you really need an extra boost of those when you are on antibiotics. Definitely yogurt with live cultures (like Activia) AND probiotic supplements. You should be able to find those at CVS.

I hope you start feeling better real soon, and that Bobby, Milo and Glenn are good boys and snuggle up with their meowmy! {{{GD}}}
