I have called the shelter and they will put him down because he isn't weened yet. I have called 2 rescues and they clearly are not interested. I have begun with the cool compress, and he has since pooped and taken in about 20ml of milk, still no urine however this is the first time he has eaten all day. Try giving the little girls something else to suckle, like a beanie baby sized stuffed animal. Definitely keep the siblings separated when you aren't there to watch them. Keep an eye on the little boy for a day - if the swelling doesn't go down once you have stopped the suckling, you do need to find a vet. You can try holding a cool compress against his tummy and genitalia for 15 minutes or so, every hour. Baby kittens, like baby humans, can't go very long without food. Also, if his genitals are too swollen, then he cannot urinate, and will die. Will a shelter treat him, since he is abandoned, and you are fostering him? They're often cheaper than freestanding vet clinics.</p> <p>I would separate him from his sib so she can't suck on him anymore. I was just talking to a lady I had met once at the vet's who had the same problem. When I first met her she had a male kitten with he same condition. She was bottle feeding a litter of 4 and the poor kitty's siblings would suckle on his genitalia because it felt like their mommy's teats. It's a comfort thing u see. But she had kept it for too long. She said although she had managed to stop the suckling by the other kittens, the inflammation had not gone down and instead had only worsened. When she came to the vets, I remember he was already having trouble peeing, he was bleeding from his genitals and it looked very deformed. The kitten was admitted and the doctors found a lot of crystals in his tract which were causing the blockage and the bleeding. When i met her today, she told me that the kitten didn't make it as he was so tiny and the damage had been quite extensive. A case of too little too late.</p> <p>I don't mean to scare you or anything but this is a real possibility if you do not seek immediate medical attention. I understand how a vet trip can really set you back but perhaps you can try to work something out with your vet...like pay in installments or something. My vet lets me do that at times when it's been a particularly bad month.<br /> In the meantime, you can offer cold compression to keep the swelling and inflammation in check but it's antibiotics n veterinary care that he most needs. It's bad news when he has suddenly stopped showing interest in food. My husband found 2 abandoned kittens about a week ago, they appear to be about 3-4 weeks old. We are feeding them KMR and they are being fed about every 3-4 hours. I have been taking them to work with me so they can be fed and we are even waking once during the night to feed them (although last night they slept through the night whew) At each feeding they are eating between 35-45 ml and have been peeing and pooping. However the female kitten appears to be suckling on the male kittens genitalia, which now has become red and swollen, and he has not been interested in eating or drinking at all today, he also seems a little less active today. We already have 3 cats and a dog so taking this little guy to the vet really isn't an option financially for us. She had a total of 6 pregnancies &amp; five litters. Sadly she was pregnant again at the time she was trapped &amp; we didn't know &amp; so she lost that litter. I think my Hopper was solely responsible for her last litter I rescued. All 5 kittens were torties. BTW...Hopper took me 6 yrs. to finally trap. He was the toughest feral of all to trap.<br /> That's Ms.Hissy in my avatar. If not for my TDK family here,I would've lost my sanity &amp; life.
