Last time we took her in for a quick blood draw, we were standing in the exam room and the vet and his tech/wife came do the draw they both came in with huge thick leather gloves on. Hubby and I were stunned by their attire; Fila never even nips at us. They kept calling her "Ms. Cranky". Then the vet reached for her and she became a hissing, spitting, clawing whirlwind with fire coming out of her eyes. </p> <p>When we were over the shock of seeing our sweet girl morph into a monster, we asked if this was her usual behaviour. "Do you think we wear these gloves as a fashion statement?", replied the vet.</p> <p>She's been going to that vet for her whole life. Can you just picture it...little human dolls stuffed with catnip with raffia hair and a couple of jingle bells attached. We have finally had a small patch without rain but not for long.<br /> All fireworks and the outdoor celebrations at Mt Maunganui cancelled. We're having a "dance party" tonight at Meegz. KK and I will be making KOTSW martinis to assist with the dancing. We have out 12 grapes ready for midnight too.<br /> The weather has been simply atrocious in parts of the country and there are campers everywhere either toughing it out or packing up and heading home. Ahhhhh, the joys of camping, been there and done that. Spent many a holiday with water flowing through the tent and just hanging in there until the weather cleared. I have the dogs till Sunday night and my friend's cat till Wednesday. I have been trying for two days to get my car to the mechanic, and havent been able to get it done. So, leaving work tonight, of course the car starts driving really badly. Pulled into a parking lot and turned it off for a while and was able to get it to the dog-sitting house. I don't know if the mechanic is open tomorrow, but I sure hope so.
