You have said more than once that you suffer clinical depression and that you know you need help. You also told us during a last time you when you were contemplating hurting yourself that you would see a doctor. Depression is serious. I will always pray for you as will many here on TDK, but perhaps now is the time to make good on your promise to those here that have been so worried and seek help. Having those that care abotu you pray for you is wonderful, but you also need to seek professional help. I haven't been on medication for a long time. The worst for me is from October 2nd (an anniversary of something that changed my life) through my birthday in a few weeks, with today being the absolute worst (a birthday of someone I lost (relationship) that I have not gotten over). Of course all the crap I've been going through in the relationship hasn't helped, either. BTW, we are taking a break, and actually I am calmer and happier. Will see what happens in a few weeks. Decisions have to be made on both sides. </p> <p>Times like this I really miss my Jetta. She was my little soulmate and knew when I was down and she would wash my tears and hug me. </p> <p>My nephew kitty, Mickey, is a LOT like her. I think that I will end up keeping him. I know for me a small amount of SSRIs helps a lot. Getting outside and exercising helps too. Time passes and you will feel better hon. Perhaps you can start a new tradition this year: wrap yourself in a big, collective hug from your TDK family and do something for yourself--even if it is as simple as a hot, bubble bath and wearing your fave old, comfy clothes, draping yourself in kitties and vegging in bed with a good book or movie. Whatever it is, be kind to yourself--it seems to me that a lot of what is making you so sad is not 100% under your control so take control, even in a small way. Y'all know depression is my seemingly almost constant companion this time of year. Today is the worst, always has been. I just want to crawl into a hole and have it swallow me up. I can't stop crying. At least having the cats here gives me something/someone else to focus on. I just wish I could go to sleep about 8pm and not wake up till time to go to work on Tuesday.</p> <p>Keep me in your thoughts and prayers and vibes and white light. I know it gets better.
