I've been out and about and even went to the garden centre and didn't buy and plants, just a leaf rake. Autumn is spreading it's colourful leaves all over the lawn and I'm going to make some great compost with all the leaves. Love how leaves shelter us from the summer sun then look beautiful in Autumn and finally become nutritious compost to feed next years flowers and vegetables. He seems to prefer cardboard boxes for paper boxes . And bugs _ especially flying ones ! Whenever a bug is flying in the house , Maru is called . He walks around with a mouth in his teeth every night ! His hedgehog is named Harry but he rather ignores it ! His favourite place is a hard , slippery surface _bathtub , wash basin and inside of the washing machine .He likes snuggling in basins ever since he was a little kitten. Nobody knows why Maru puts his head inside a paper bag. First he feels frustrated but soon he begins patrolling the house with the bag on his face, This is hysterical but his real intention is a mystery .</p> <p>15. DISLIKES : Milk . Also : gizzards . When he smells milk , he starts the gesture of digging . His Mom sometimes cooks a meal for him but if he notices a hint of gizzard , he doesn’t even touch it.<br /> Basically he doesn’t like anything warm. Yesterday there was a huge turtle on the side of a road near my house. He was parallel to the road so he wasn't trying to cross at that point. Maybe he had already crossed, maybe he just came out of the woods to watch a few cars go by.</p> <p>Anyway, I learned how to move a turtle, and thought I'd share in case anyone ever found themselves in the predicament of finding a turtle in the road and wanted to assist. First, they say never turn the turtle around, always move it in the direction where it's headed. Turning them around apparently messes them up. (Imagine you are walking to the beach and someone makes you turn around and go the opposite direction. "But I wanted to go to the beach!") As far as handling them, if you can, keep a board in your car or get a strong branch that he can latch on to. This will keep those powerful jaws occupied while you help as well. Then try to get your hand under the turtle, keeping your arm parallel to his tail. Pick him up, hold onto the board, and off you go! </p>
